To be fair, yes there should be a backblast, which we do now do. However we where testing the rocket on the wire part of this effect and needed little smoke to film it.

Wow. excellent work. I'd love to see that at a reenactment near me (seeing how I'm allied). Great job guys, you're 60mm mortar looks great as well. The unit I belong to uses a fairly similar method.
