In the future, the independent nations of these islands could possibly enter into a Benelux type of federation with the rest of the nations of these islands. Each would exist as a separate state and would be able to co-operate on matters of common interest to the citizens of all these countres, probably enjoying better relations with each other than the current UK has with the EU. An independent Scotland would most likely decide to also remain in the EU and England could decide for itself too.

Well if the star does still support breaking up the union i hope he will pay back all the money he has earned thanks to it. The vast majority of the money to pay for programs on the BBC comes from tax payers in England.

On commercial channels like ITV, they make money from advertising and the more viewers a show gets the more they charge to advertise. Some how considering the population of England i think the vast majority of viewers come from England.

For that 10% you get access to all of the programs England does aswell as some regional programs.

What you have to ask yourself is if Scotland had its own broadcasting company instead of the BBC and paid the amount u do now for the license fee would that company be able to afford the wide range of programs you currently get? Take away ITV / SKy etc aswell

If there was demand for Scottish only tv programming then more business would be flocking to get licenses and make profits.

England would lose out if the union broke up just like Wales would aswell. The only part of the country that might not is northern Ireland who would probably be able to join the ROI and benefit from huge European union funds.
