  • I'm 6ft 2 and a former rugby player...and I just fell in love with man.

Damn it....back to reading Dr Kinsey's shit again.

    :-)

    Beautiful.

  • you deserve more views : )

  • @fenixmita92 Thank you very much. :)

  • wow i love this rendition. this is the best cover of this song i have seen. you are the only one who made it your own. great job man

  • @mitchellryan16 Thanks a lot! I really appreciate it.

  • nice cover, maybe just a bit slower, but better than my own in fairness dude :-)

  • @dzee1975 You might be right that it could be slower, just like Lost Cause. Thanks for commenting!

  • @dzee1975 In fact, I'd say that it definitely should be slower. :)

  • you kinda look like jhonny depp :D omg <3 hes sexy

  • @MissFutureWrestlerMK Well, thanks.

  • Best discovery of the week. :)

  • @KimberleyLaurenW Thank you!

  • Are you playing on a yamaha?

  • @mcquoidellum No, actually. It's a Prudencio Saez (classical guitar).

  • I'd like to hear you do "Just Close Your Eyes" by Northern. I believe Sarah and I gave that to you on your birthday mix. :)

  • Ah. I'll check it out. :)

  • Always loved Iron & Wine. :)

  • :). I've only taken a stronger interest in Iron & Wine in the past year or so, after recognizing Beam's strong songwriting ability. At first his sort of whisper singing, along with that of Sufjan Stevens, turned me off a bit since it really doesn't take much skill at all to sing like that. Regardless, they're great writers, lyrically and musically, so I'm now a fan.

  • Whether or not it takes a lot of skill to sound like that, I've always found it very soothing. But, luckily, Iron & Wine is very talented regardless. :)

  • Lovely.

Again, your voice in this reminds me of Andrew Bird's. What a talent you are.

  • Gosh. Thanks a lot, Amanda. Do you know of any songs of his that would be good for me to cover?

  • Personally, I'd love to hear: "Measuring Cups," "Dark Matter," "Imitosis," or

    "Skin Is, My."

But, I completely don't know how well, if at all, these would translate into acoustic guitar parts. I've no skill or knowledge with that sort of thing... :P

Good luck, if you try. You're wonderful.

  • Ok. I'll check them out. Imitosis is pretty darn cool. I watched the video for that song and several others after you made the comparison, initially.

    Thanks very much, Amanda.

  • It looks like "Measuring Cups" and "Oh No" would work really well for acoustic guitar and voice, and I'd definitely love to work with them. "Imitosis" would be cool, but I'm not sure if it'd transition well. I'll see about that. :)

  • Ooh, "Scythian Empire" seems like it'd transfer almost directly, with that cool, fast folk guitar accompaniment. It'd be sweet to get more experience with the folk guitar style. I definitely have a fascination with it. I might aim for writing stuff like Ari Hest.

  • I'd adore to hear "Measuring Cups" or "Scythian Empire."

    Like, really adore.

And I, too, have a love for folk-style guitar.

Can't wait to hear more of your stuff.

  • Great. Hopefully soon. :)

Thanks for your kind words and support, Amanda.

  • You're more than welcome, Andrew. :)
