I'm 15 and I'm from Chicago. My dad's an electrician. He works every weekend, has missed 8 Christmases, 10 Thanksgivings, and 3 Easters because he has had to work and couldn't afford to take a day off. I almost never see him, and when I do he's tired and over-worked. I don't have health insurance, and no. It's not because my parents sit on the couch watching Oprah all day eating Twinkies. Sunday was one of the happiest days of my life. I'm sad you can't see it the way I do.

Not to get involved in an American health care debate, but those against health care reform and the public option have to quit saying it will bankrupt America. Just look at all the countries that have universal health care and haven't gone bankrupt. Trim back on the 700 military bases America has around the world, legalize weed, and shut down the billions in aid to Israel(there's enough rich Jewish people, they can support their own homeland), and that would be a good start to paying for reform.
