In Russia produsers think that it's better to copy American serials, sitcoms and even soap operas!!! I don't understand why they can't just translate them... MTV make good translations. I don't like the voices but text is very good. Watch Russian versions of big bang theory or how i met your mother!

Why do people all over the worls voice over tv shows. I live in Holland, where we subtitle everything. So everyone can enjoy the original jokes and not some Russian guy noone can understand.

They use subtitles in Turkey too. I've been to Holland too and yea you're right.. In Japan its a hit or miss. SOmetimes they subtitle it like tv shows on MTV, but then other stuff gets dubbed over its annoying. tough watching my fav. shows from back at home in other countries overall.. though if I said this to any of my friends I get a lot of crap for being too american XD
