@Qiaokful He's not the worst only because he has a distorted strike zone at best. He is the worst because he antagonizes the players who even have one sign of disbelief when he screws up. I know that sometimes officials make bad calls but this has gone on for way too long and it's time for those in charge of MLB to take action against him. The ump needs tot learn to be professional and say "I screwed up, I'm sorry" when it becomes clear that he did.

I hate him too. As an Angels fan, he tends to eject Scoiscia alot as well. Bill's problem is that on checked swings, he does not get the appeal of the fellow umpires, he just makes the call himself. I remember that Texas-Angel game this past season, when the pitch was made with Izturis was batting, he called a ball originally, then the catcher said it hit the tip of the bat for a foul tip, and guess what happen, he made the foul tip call and he was out. This shows the Bill hates the Angels.

I watched this game, his actions were absolute bull. He clearly displayed favoritism (i think that's a word) and called a horrible game. Then he went and did the exact same thing about a month later when he blew 2 calls at first in a SF-LAD game. Guy is a horrible ump.

ESPN failed to say that the reason bobby was ejected was because hohn motioned him over showed him the roster and asked who to eject because he heard somebody in the dugout bring back up that red sox game. if he's gonna ne that sensitive, DONT DO BASEBALL. i'm sure chess or bowling has an opening :)

This is complete ESPN sensational bullshit. Umpires and catchers know each other alright? In higher levels of baseball, you have the same catchers over and over again so its impossible not to have a working relationship. I umpire college baseball, and very often will a catcher say hey good game see you next time, if he wants to bump fists, you can't leave him hanging. This happens ALL THE TIME in baseball.

Also, I don't think the bump is that big of a deal, and probably would have gone away pretty quickly if it weren't for his previous history of umpiring Braves' games. Name any other umpire who has ejected 5 players from one team over the span of two games.

this guy should be out of the game PERIOD! he obviously has some kind of beef with Bobby Cox and the braves in general.He was just provoking bobby to come out of the dugout JUST so he could throw him out. You could tell that bobby wanted no part of it because he was telling the ump to "just call the game!" That should not be allowed in baseball.

Bill Hohn should never step foot on a baseball field again. This man honestly has psychological problems. He obviously cant handle the pressures of making the right calls on the baseball field, and he is too pusy to be a man about making a mistake. Pete Rose is banished for betting on baseball games, well this guy could have single handedly ruined a teams chances of playoff contention by tearing apart a team's momentum in two instances (also refering to the game against the red sox).
