  • Never had it eather

  • I never had a problem either with dropped signal. No matter how I hold it. Who holds there phone like this anyway? Lol who squeeze's their phone.

  • I don't have this problem either but I'm always on a 1-2 bar when I'm at home cause there are trees all around my house

  • @porkerpig89 AT&T is stable for me, never drop calls, fast 3G.. and i don't have the problem.

  • by the way

    u have 31 mail

    0 miss call

    0 messages

    a good pinky

  • @hamad1979 lmao.

  • @agirlneedsagun

    ROFL

    sorry ........

  • lol, "no no, to lose the signal you have to hold in a whole different way!"

  • 2:11 ... THATS WHAT SHE SAID lol just saying :)

  • @Bosco827 lmao! i love you.

  • Comment removed

  • @lilclipps lmao ya mmmhmm I'm sure that's why.

  • Nice vid, thank you. I have very low signal when I'm at home, but as soon as I go to a bigger city or something I mostly have 4-5 bars. Don't listen to people who insult you or the iphone 4... they're fools. Kind regards.

  • @infamousstax the problem happens when you hold the phone the way I held it in this video. If you are covering all 3 bands at the same time when you hold the phone, you really are holding it wrong. No one does that. Go look at all of the videos about this problem - I'm holding it just as they are and not getting signal failure.

  • there is another band on the top of the phone.

  • WOW,

yea the problem is just affecting a certain amount of iphones some are fine nd some have this problem derrrrrrr

  • Dear agirlneedsagun ,

I have the antenna problem ( like many else ) and i have an explanation for your "non-reception-issue".

The reception falls by approximately 20 (db i think) when you hold it in the left corner. However, if you have great reception, even when you loose 20 db, it can still happen that you have enough signal for it to show you you have 5 bars :)

I don't know if i got myself clear here, but the thing is, i would like you to do a similar video with 3 bars, as a response.thankyou

  • @punknrock01030103 the problem is that i am never anywhere where my phone has less than full service, honestly. The only time I had less than 5 bars was when I was in the Catskill Mountains for vacation, where I had 0 bars, and therefor couldn't test it! lol.

  • r u using a plan??

  • i also dont have any reception issue. iphone 4 32GB US

  • I had mine for several weeks now and its the same story here... can't replicate the signal lost as others.

  • "some people say you have to squeeze the phone" ... i like how everybody is trying so hard to make the reception bad just so they could cry some more.....great vid by the way :)

  • @19t0Ny91 i did that, it did not disrupt reception, as seen in this video...

  • Looks like you got an Iphone that was made for Steve Jobs. Glad yours is working out great for you. I get mine this week or next week and hop I do not have any reception issues with mine.

  • got to cover the top antenna idiot!!

  • @TheArnaldo10 wrong.

  • @agirlneedsagun u r wrong hold all metal sides, the metal is the atena. cover the metal also top and left and right sides

  • @thedoublesmash why would you ever hold the whole phone? so what's the point? She clearly doesn't have a problem with her iphone. Kay?

  • @TheHartLover thank you, lol. people just hate on apple products. its most likely just that i live in an amazing service area... but i remember when i had sprint, i had like one bar at home, and as soon as i TOUCHED the phone it would drop to no service lol.

  • Well I really want to get the iPhone for my bday present but I'm scared that the antena would not work cause my dad keeps telling me about the problems it has and all of that and I was worried cause I had no other gift present in my mind.. So I'm really glad it worked for you and for a lot of people who commented here so thank you for making the video! :) now I'm sure I'm getting and iPhone 4

  • @MayraIsMe123 if your phone does have signal problems just put a case on it and they go away. for everyone.

  • i guess girls are just lucky

  • you know.... she may just have cell tower out her window.

  • yhee i know only feww people has antena problems

  • the service goes away when you hold the phone overing the antena the antena has not eny problem the people is complainning that the phones sucks but is not real is the way you hold the phone

  • @skullkandy69 i am holding the phone the way everyone else does to get the service problems. my phone just does not have those problems.

  • @agirlneedsagun my is like the same as yours too. i have no problems

  • Sweet! I'm glad at least someone isn't having problems. :) It's not much of a big issue for me since either way I would having a case on it at all times anyways.

  • is it the 32gb ?

  • @AJfio22 no, its the 16gb

  • so both of the iphones u got dont have problems?

    sweet

  • @1niggamike correct ;)

  • The reason it isn't doing anything for you is simply because apple combated the issue with how the bars actually represent signal strength. Having 5 bars represents 40% of the signal strength range. There you have it... depending on how good or crappy the actual signal you have is (not just 5 bars since its totally inaccurate) holding the phone will make either a LOT of different or what seems like none at all, even though it still does in the background.

  • @xecuter2 they did that in the 4.0.1 update if i'm not mistaken, and i'm still on 4.0 so my bars still look the way they originally did. i got my phones june 23rd - the day before they were supposed to be delivered. If you believe everyone else that's having problems with signal strength who got their phones the same day as me, and were posting the videos the same day as me showing it - why are you suggesting i'm not seeing the problem because apple changed the way MY bars look???

  • @agirlneedsagun The reason you still don't SEE the issue is because you are on 4.0.... yahoo search "anandtech iphone 4 signal issue" since i cant post the link here and you will see exactly what I mean // install 4.0.1 and see what happens :x To answer your question, what I am saying is, with 4.0, if you have VERY good coverage, then you will have results like yours... if you have enough to barely have 5 bars by apples messed up 5 bar calculation in 4.0, then you will drop to 0-1 bars.

  • @agirlneedsagun It boils down to the point that you have amazing coverage where you live(which is awesome).. to prove my point, next time you go out and have anything less than 5 bars, go ahead and put your palm on the bottom left for 10-20 seconds and let me know then what the bars show :P Apple just started giving out free cases for all iphone 4 owners anyway so the issue is not much of a concern anymore.. just install the app from the app store, log in, and they will ship you it free.

  • @xecuter2 i see what you're saying now, however, when i am out - i have nothing less than 5 bars about 90% of the time. the rest of the time i have 4 bars - and there has only been twice where i had 0 bars, and that was in a hospital. Even when I have 4 bars I never notice an issue with my service though. I have never dropped a call and I have tried re creating the signal problem countless times in countless places - and it just never works.

  • IT'S A FUCKING PIC!!! She took a pic of the screen when it had full bars then when to photos and showed it like this

  • @Ps3FrEaK97 u just dont want to admit its a tiny problem do u? Besides nobody could ever fit a photo frame in a video this smooth and if u can see closely the camera was shaking a little the whole time: common human photography habit, cant u tell?

  • @Ps3FrEaK97 then how did i make a phone call?? dumb ass.

  • @Ps3FrEaK97 the timechanges thats how u know it wasent a pic

  • @WilbY789 thank you. another valid point that i thought of after i replied - came back to bring it up but you already had. thanks.

  • Comment removed

  • @zacharyzooshorion my phone does not have the issue. if this video doesn't prove it for you, then i can't help you.

  • @zacharyzooshorion she is holding it the right way wat are u talking about

  • y did you buy 2?

but ohh okay thanks.imma buy one now. i was scared to get one cuz i was scared about the issue

  • @1niggamike one for me, one for my fiance.

  • * service

  • its only the 16gig model that drops sevice

  • @1niggamike I'm on the 16gig model in this video. Those are the ones I bought. They Don't lose service. I bought two. Neither of them have the problem.

  • doesnt happen to me either...

  • @shreyesh L O L

  • i hate how everyone says its such a problem get over it..no one even holds a phone like that squeezing it as hard as you can. get over it and just use the fucking phone normally. thank you for proving this wrong

  • Your hands are clearly bad. Get them checked.

  • @PsyTubeX quit being such a bit*h. you're retarded and maybe you need to stop holding the phone like if its a dick. have you though about that???.....

  • I dont have the problem, i bought the 32gb one 3days ago. not even 1bar drop when holding it.

  • @agirlneedsagun you hit the nail on the head - the reason why youre still gettin reception..even if you cover the sides/antenna ..is because you live very close to a cell transmitter/base station/tower/repeater whatever.

  • It's about 0.55% of iPhone 4 customers that have problems with the reception. It's not a small amount given the success of the product, however 99.45% of the customers are happy. That's a lot. iPhone is a revolutionary product, and will always be a benchmark to what others compare their phones in all aspects.

  • u people are just paranoid! this is a revolutionary product! stop looking for flaws and enjoy it! the phone works unless ur a retard!

  • are yo cheating??

  • Great post! Iphone works very well

  • thanks for posting this video cause i'm also not having any problem holding my phone at the so called dead point the phone is just the best around and i wonder why people are making so much about this problem which when even in existence can simply be solved with a simple case that of 99.9% iphone users has anyway....

  • @vincecouk I have not experienced any problems - I have only had one call drop and that was while driving down a stretch of road that is a dead spot. No phones get service through there. Other than that I've had full bars 100% of the time.

  • @animalmaluco there was a light on. My coffee table is black. My camera picks up the light from my iPhone since it's the brightest thing in the frame. Take a pill dick bag.

  • TURN THE LIGHT ON BITCH!!!!!

  • @Animalmaluco shes doing it ;)

  • @shreyesh i hope you're joking. lol

  • Comment removed

  • @kelseyforte agreed! It's APPLE. they will handle it, that's why you pay more- overall quality. I am biased though because I don't have the signal problems lol

  • @1964mm omg I didn't even realize how perverted his question possibly is.., lol ahhh

  • Nice of you to make the video. So many people are trying to give Apple all this crap, and I now that it's frustrating, but they're in a difficult position right now and it's APPLE, they'll get it fixed. At least we know not all of the phones are undergoing this problem- and for you, that it's the best service you've ever had.

  • one dumb question.... are you on your barefoot? or are you wearing any footwear?

  • @rmontero67 i don't remember if i was barefoot or wearing socks/shoes in this video. sorry.

  • @rmontero67 Why would you ask that? You people are such creepers, why would you even care?? Unless...**thinks for a minute**...O_o...OMG!! I'm done...

  • can u make a video call on ur skype app

  • I believe that this issue is related to AT&T coverage ... not the antenna design ... if it's Antenna design .. how come it doesn't affect you and many others? and why would it take 30 seconds for affected iPhones to lose service ?! why not instantly ?

This issue will be clear when iPhone is shipped internationally ... and tested on different carriers and coverage options ...

  • @luay1985 i agree with you. some people have tested it in canada with our 3g networks and they could not reproduce the problem. However, they tested the SAME phones in the USA and the problem was there. seems like at&t coverage is just very spotty and touching the antenna on a very fragile network causes the problem.

  • is it 16gb or 32gb?

  • lucky for u :) how about the proximity sensor issue?

  • @shafie87 yess i do have problems with that lol my cheek is constantly putting people on hold/mute and trying to do facetime, lol it sucks.

  • @agirlneedsagun haha..that really annoying. new name "cheek issue" lol

  • @shafie87 also, i read that if you use a case the proximity sensor issue (like the reception issue) would be resolved. but i do use a case and yea, i still have problems with that.

  • @agirlneedsagun have u try to reset the setting. heard that could possibly solve that.

  • what net work at u on??

  • @haroon1987 AT&T..

  • this was one of the best quality videos i have seen. i have whatched soo manyy.. nice vid! im still waiting for mine to come in the mail btw :(

  • prob cos ur a women lool

  • @haider1996 *woman

  • the antenna should've been put on the bottom of the phone

  • she's working for AT&T

  • @icarus119 yup. you caught me. *rolls eyes*

  • reception issue? not me! WHO GIVES A FUCK! pointless ass video

  • @lilclipps Then why'd you watch? Pretty obvious what the video is about based on the title. Way to go dick shit!

  • @lilclipps

Go eat the proverbial monkey dung mate.

  • @lilclipps i know what a fuk face troll...

  • @lilclipps

How is this video pointless??? She's just showing that not everyone has this reception issue. Let me guess, this video is pointless to you because either you don't like the fact that some iPhone 4 owners don't have this issue, you either have the signal issue or you are just being a douche. I bet you are one of those people who hate this video, but love the ones that show the issue. You should be thankful that she took the time to post this video. It's a great device end of story.

  • @yanike agreed, and thank you! lol. some people are just RAGING because i don't have any signal problems. and i'm always assured that i do in fact have the issue, i'm just not seeing it because of some ridiculous exceptional circumstance. i give up, lol. but agreed, great device. loveloveloveit.

  • @yanike it coulg just be a snapshot she took when she had perfect sevice, maybe thats why she is not touching the screen:) and had to take th ephone away from the screen

  • @billyanhiers yup that explains the phone call i made clearly being a real phone call... and it also explains the time on the clock changing during the video. lol

  • @yanike honestly bro everyone is not having the reception issue no one needs a youtube video to state that. its fucken pointless to brag about it plus common sense it would have been known worldwide that after all the millions of dollars spent on the iphone apple releases a non functioning phone. ima make a video titled "your mom died from breast cancer?? not mine" think about it bro this video is useless like justin bieber. its obvious 13 bieber fans found this video educational.....-______-

  • @lilclipps then why did you watch it.....

  • @agirlneedsagun to see who would really be dumb enough to post a video so stupid and pointless not surprised it was a girl like you

  • not trying to be a smart ass at all, take off your rings try it again.

  • "A lot of people told me that I was not holding my phone right to lose the service". Oh the irony.

  • @vaguedisclaimer LOL exactly what I said!

  • I guess somehow your skin(or hand) is not conductiv enough. That's why you are having this problem. I guess this can happen when it is too dry.

Never thought it would come in handy to have less conductive skin :)

  • @krankbiel somehow that's not possible...unless he's not human...BUSTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Your voice is amazing !

  • Your voice is amazing ?

  • Awesome user name ! And yeah only some iPhone 4s have the problem

  • Most of the iPhone 4's doesn't have the problem so it's not wierd...

  • you have a sexy voice, can you reprogram my iPod?

  • @oxycodonez LOL sure. but wait... your ipod talks to you?? mine doesn't talk to me... =/ jealous

  • @agirlneedsagun It's probably a 3rd generation iPod Shuffle. Me and you have Voice Control though...

  • I agree living close to a tower will definitely help, I find where I live signal strength is perfect but drive a few blocks away forget it.........

  • Well, what you've just proved in this video to me, is that either there are lemons floating around, or the problem is worse, than is thought.

The perception is, the problem exists between, the two antena points and hand coverage. That's made worse, IF, told to get closer to an tower. Now Nephew, will have to either really really hope he doesn't get a flawed iphone 4, or move closer to a tower.

Maybe there's an easy fix to another root cause within the Iphone 4.

  • @xxGjbbyxx i think there are just lemons floating around. however there are many simple fixes if your iphone 4 does have the problem. buy a case, or simply get a small piece of scotch tape and put it over the problem spot. i hope you get a good one!

  • I wonder if it effects lefties and much as righties! :) No auto-focus fail, it's the white balance your camera is trying to adjust to, works pretty well since we can see the screen and your hand when needed. *thumbs up*

  • @gooserex it's supposed to plague lefties and not be such a big deal for righties. i normally hold my phone in my left hand though even though i'm a righty. i think a lot of people do that. and you are right, it's not auto focus it's white balance LOL i'll have to change that. i can be so dumb sometimes.

  • how about you run a speed test tard?

I don't give a shit how many fucking bars your phone has, we wanna see speed measured in numbers, not graphical bars....

  • @thegwd that's interesting, do you comment on all the videos where people are showing LOSS of bars and say the same thing? apparently bars mean nothing so all these people complaining about losing bars are retarded too!! thanks for the insight.

  • Good video! agirlneedsagun I agree and what a cool user name.

    Keep on rockin...

  • I saw a video where the guy touched the antenna gap with a metal paper clip and his service dropped bad. Also, it seems that these people were holding that position for a few seconds before they saw a gradual signal loss. It's crazy!!!

  • you have the only good phone. you should put it on ebay. :)

  • Good on you agirlneedsagun.

The girl has said she is probably near a tower. What more do u frickin want cloudfire777.

Go move house and live near a tower if your so passionate about it

  • @Omar16122007 my fiance works about 45 minutes away in the middle of nowhere - definitely no tower near him lol - and he still gets full service all the time too =/ so i'm not sure if that's why. we may have just gotten lucky with our phones.

  • @agirlneedsagun I should hate both of you right now lol.

I'm in the U.K. Not in the best area for reception, but I havent had call drops touch wood. Yes the reception drops, but im not too fussed about it. A free bumper case would be nice though :)

  • you're lucky, take a second and look at all the videos to the right of this one, you should be happy

  • @prayfawind i am happy! incredibly. i know everyone is having problems. really not sure why i'm not.

  • Aw your lucky... When I get mine I hope I am too :) Best of luck!!!

  • Funny guy this cloudfire, we all can see he's wrting tone that he's pissed of :D Nice one agirlneedsagun! and good you dont having the antenna issue

  • omg this stupid bitch is such a snobby apple cunt

  • Comment removed

  • she won, she proved that it doesnt take away any bars for her... you can leave her alone now

  • my service is not going anywhere

  • @hole0101 good i'm glad! =)

  • cloudfire777 is what you call a fanboy.. yes apple haters can be just as or even more annoying than Apple fanboys. I can clearly tell that cloudfire jacked off to the news of the antenna problem on the iphone 4.

  • @Quagmire97 LOL

  • LOL nice useless video. To take an example, if Iphone 5 had 99% failure with their phones and you were the lucky 1% that got one that worked, would your video show that iphone 5 dont have problems?

Nice bragvideo, although i hate apple with every bone in my body

  • @cloudfire777 i'm not saying that no one is having the problem, I'm just saying that I'M not. and if you hate apple with every bone in your body then why are you watching videos about apple products? sounds like you just hate them cause you can't afford them.

  • @agirlneedsagun

Cannot afford them? I did not say anything about the price, yet you try to push me in a cathegory of cheap just because i prefer other brands... I have Samsung Galaxy S which is on par or slightly better than Iphone 4, and i paid a lot less for it than having to pay hundred and hundreds of $ for an apple logo....

And why can`t I watch videos of apple products just because i hate them? I hate microsoft too,and i watched the entire E3 press conference with them.

    You are ignorant

  • @cloudfire777 you're admitting that apple products are good, because you say the phone you have now is on par or just slightly better than iphone 4, yet you're gloating that you didn't have to pay as much for it. LOL. nice argument there. *rolls eyes* case & point.

  • @agirlneedsagun

You apple fans are truly STUPID. I said it was on par with the Samsung phone: Screen, camera, CPU etc. But do you really think the Samsung have reception issues as well? I figured you were smart enough to understand that....

Apple fucked up with their antenna design. My god, Steve Jobs can put an apple logo on a turd and you retards would probably buy that too.....

    LOL

  • @cloudfire777 and if the iPhone 4 didn't have reception issues, you'd find something else to complain about. Jealousy isn't attractive. Don't worry, in a few years when the iPhone 6 is out, you'll probably be able to afford the iPhone 4. Now fuck off, go watch some samsung galaxy videos.

  • @cloudfire777 She posts a video demonstrating a 'working' iPhone 4 which people like ME want to see while making no attempt to suggest there isn't a mass issue with other phones (in fact she states the exact opposite clearly). And you also label it a "brag video". Pull your finger out of your ass crack. Not everybody thinks like you.

  • @Vincecouk

Yeah it is clearly a brag video because both she and me knows that this video is USELESS!

So go cry me a river retard

  • @cloudfire777 yes i made this video so i could brag to all of my what... 45 subscribers? lol. i hope they all know that i'm better than them now because i have an iPhone 4 that gets service and they don't!!!!

  • @agirlneedsagun

OMG, you are truly one retarded girl just like your fans here... Am i a subscriber? No. Did i find the video anyway? Yes.

  • @cloudfire777 Ohh I'm sorry you're right, I made this video so I could brag to everyone in the entire world with Internet access!!!! Hahahaha suckassssss my iPhone 4 works and yours doesn't!!!! God you're such a fucking tool. Seriously just go fuck off you look more stupid with every word you write. Idiot.

  • @Vincecouk lol don't worry @cloudfire777 is just upset because we made him look stupid. he'll be O.K. lol

  • @cloudfire777 You know, your comment /kind/ of made sense for about half of it. Then you mentioned you hated Apple with every bone in your body. Doesn't this de-validate the point you made and make the comment irrelevant and bias? I think so...

  • @PoopInACupSlaughters

Then im sorry. It is funny how your non logic brain works. First i say something that makes sense, but then suddenly its all wrong just because i dont like apple? wow, good luck in the real world with people having their own opinions and morals.

  • @cloudfire777 seek therapy. You are a head case.

  • Comment removed

  • It still sucks

  • Can you try it somewhere other than in your house? Like in town or something and post the vid? I am genuinely curious whether this phone is absolutely not presenting the bar drops. You mention a few times you might be near a tower and a strong signal. Thanks for testing this out for us.

  • @Vincecouk this is something i will probably do when i have nothing better to do, lol. but if you would just take my word for it in the time being - i do not have the problem any where i go. but if/when i get around to it i will post another video proving it.
