I attended Woodstock and this was my favorite performance by far from that show. By the time he said "Are you Ready?" I moved from behind the soundstage area to like 30 feet from the stage. Pure madness.
I was there when i was 23, as soon as he said are you ready, everyone jumped at once, instant pit everywhere, I had to get pulled over the sound and lights wall cause i was getting crushed by the masses, I will never forget that, the most awesome concert of my life.
I remember being 11 when Woodstock '99 was out (to this day I wish I was still the only 11 year old in that crowd) I was freaking out because I wanted to watch it so bad but it was only on PPV but that didn't stop me from watching it all scrambled. What still burned in my head was the crowd jumping like a real fucking crowd should be. Will never forget it until I die it was EPIC!
@realmanchester I'm only 14 now and I still wish I was there to witness all of that. Everyone who was a part of Woodstock 1999 contributed to the history of the best music ever made.
i was there and im telling you seeing this everytime gives me chills ... it was the most amazing show i have ever seen... too bad korn turned into a bunch of douche bags ... pnc arts center... back stage passes yet no pics allowed of my fav band ... yo jd ... FU
My buddy thought it would be a good idea to get into a mosh pit during limp bizkit we didnt see him again till well after the korns last perfomance staggering around and btw he was 63 and 250 of pure muscle shit was crazy
Are you ready?! This place inside my mind, a place I like to hide You don't know the chances. What if I should die?! A place inside my brain, another kind of pain You don't know the chances. I'm so blind! Blind...blind Another place I find to escape the pain inside You don't know the chances. What if I should die?! A place inside my brain, another kind of pain You don't know the chances. I'm so blind! Blind...blind
@Weirdhannes of course it was some fucked up shit going on but to think it was going to be like 1969 you would have to be on the same drugs they were on at woodstock 99'....think about what has happened to people since 69' in this country....people are desensitized.
being in that crowd was like no other. I wasnt even able to buy cigarettes at the time and i was there. Just imagine all the top hits; from all the top artists; playing right after one another for hour upon hour. Saturday night was the greatest. Its unfortunate of what happened and that there will never be another. Its something i will be bragging about for life. :-D
@crazyforvids81 I feel you, I was there at the time an only 20 years old the best 3 days of my life were at Woodstock 99, nothing like it ever again I was waiting 5 yrs for the next one an sadly it never came.
Man I wish I was a teenager in the 90's, I was only in elementary school. Music was the greatest, now its shit these days. Miss the original Korn. Best performance of this song in my opinion.
@TerdFerguson1114 Ughhhh, I agree. There's no comparison to this kind of music, there was so much passion and everything. And no one gave a shit about what others thought of them and shit. I miss it :(
the 90's was a great year because of great bands like korn and deftones..Missed those good old years..but nowadays, the music scene is fucked up by taylor shit and all other shits... i need a time machine!!!
@ELTHIRTEEN i also was there....just graduated high school...back in those days when we burned blunts as long as baseball bats...needless to say i got sick as a fuckin dog when i got home.
nddavi58- Head never said in his book that he didn't like performing with Korn, a quote: " Even when things were at their worst, it always felt good to get up on stage and play for our fans"
This is nothing more than a classic song, played by free willed human beings that loved every minute of what they were doing. spew your bullshit somwhere else.
This will be one of those in between decades. A little at the tail end of the 90's into early 2000's, and a few gems, but a whole lot of hipster lameness. I want rock back.
