If you play music, play this one in your band. You'll get out every ounce of energy good, bad, and indifferent you got in ya. It's a drain, man. Remember to keep you head bobbin' especially at the end. Hair's flyin' boys. Get it LOVE THIS SHIT!
i actually saw aerosmith when i was in juinor high school!!! before they became famous, me and some home boys snuck into the high school cafeteria. i heard them playing train kept a rolling, we hooked up with some buddys and went out to get high and drink, a few weeks later i heard they hit it big time on a show called community auditions, and the rest they say is history, it just was so dam cool to have seen them while they were doing high schools i will cherish them memories forever. PEACE ALL
@myutoobchannel why not..when they broke up..this is the rock in a hard place tour ..in west hartford they came to a place called stage west..steven was out of his mind drunk high..whatever..after the show i had no ride home..they gave me a ride home on the tour bus....and when joe perry came out with his solo lp let the music do the talking he went to the same place i sat on stage including on top of his speakers..different time my friend...way different..so believe it or not..
@altyair I totally agree. Rocks is hands down their best album. We must keep the story alive of the real Aerosmith. The kids these days don't even know the true Aerosmitty. Pre-Draw the Line Aerosmith was one of the best American rock bands of the 70's. Permanent Vacation was the beginning of a new band that has been watering down a once gigantic legacy. Oh well, just had to agree with your post, sorry for the rant.
@drlepper72 I agree about Rocks being the best album, but I think it's not by far. Aerosmith and Get your wings are AMAZING, they might be a little more inmature than rocks regarding sound and arrangements, but their songs are just awesome. Toys in the attic is an excellent album too, but a little lower in compositions quality. Draw the Line has a more crude sound, I like that a lot... songs like Critical Mass are excelent... Night in the ruts, rock in a hard place and done with mirrors rox too.
WHY can't I buy this song on Itunes!!! There is like 8 covers and even an acoustic but I cant buy the original. I guess I'll just have to buy the entire album...lol...
I think this song is so AWESOME. I just got guitar hero aerosmith.. Most of the songs were a bit quiet. Then I buoght this one (in guitar hero) and I was like DAMN dat rocks xD

I was never a AS fan and I have even more negative thoughts about them now. I sat front row at the Draw The Line tour at The Forum in Los Angeles. They were really messed up on you know what. Eddie Van halen sat front row center and had his chin resting in his palm the whole time. I sat front row left. I remember looking behind me and the first two or three rows weren't even standing up! Ed walked out mid show. I whistled at him and got a handshake! peace
I vote hard rock. I saw them in concert at least twice in the late 70's when they were still raw and Steven Tyler was nuts! It was GREAT. Hard rock at it's finest!
I disagree with "everything" being called "Rock & Roll. I was making a point that even without the "roll", the boogie beat, they still call it Rock & Roll, which isn't right.
When you say "Aerosmith isn't heavy metal, it's hard rock", I agree with you because you're talking in present tense, not past.
Since you say "everything is called "rock and roll" nowadays"...do you consider the Jonus Brothers or whatever "rock and roll'? Please, do not disrespect the genre, thanks
Slash has always had great taste. Look at the music he plays! All of Appetite for Destruction, Slither by Velvet Revolver, among others. That guy's just plain talented.
Best hard rock album of the 70s. Most influential too, Slash and Nikki Sixx sight this album as the reason they started playing--ironic as slash with GnR had the best hard rock album of the 80s. Aerosmith were at their zenith here and Perry wrote most of the album stoned on herion while laying on the floor. \M/
Yeah I heard him sight that too, but I have read a couple of interviews where he claims it was "Rocks" that really made him focus and think about songwriting more than he had before. To be honest, I guess it really depended on the drug Nikki was on at the time, during the interview, that determined the answer given back in the 80s. LOL
I agree metal6876 it is the best Aerosmith album

They're a very, VERY, different band nowadays.
joetoronto 2 years ago
No, it's heavy metal, riden1234567.
Everything is called "rock and roll" nowadays but Aerosmith really WAS a rock and roll band, in the heavy metal vein.
