I'm pretty sure that the Bible has an Old and New Testament and that there are teachings of love, forgiveness, and mercy somewhere in there. The fact that WBC is picking and choosing what to teach, in and of itself, is heresy.....not to mention that they are brutally raping some of the best songs ever written--plus I'm thinking that's got to be some sort of copyright infringement? @UnpublishedWriter parody is a legal grey area, leaning towards legal. As for the picking parts of the bible to teach. I agree that it is wrong. But you have to realize that every Cristian religion to date does that. there are whole sections of the bible left out of modern day printings. I respect religion. I even more respect those that follow their religion with complete faith, but I don't agree with those that try and hide parts of the bible from the rest of the world.

Also it doesn’t state ‘Love your enemies’ (directly)(if you’re taking this from the new testament- which is lightly) Christ states ‘turn the other check’ which implies that you should not retaliate ‘love’ for the enemies but more of not committing redemption.

But relative to sin; yes God does hate sin, however God does offer us redemption by confessing our sins (followed mainly my catholic church) moreover sin is not a creation of God but of man (genesis ch2 v 2). We can also look at the Theodicy’s to tell us why there is sin on the earth.
