  • Especially the part "I am 8" gave us chills. >.< Exactly how we felt...

  • @Lillielle I'm sorry you felt this way too... please take care. Sophie :)

  • Thank you for this video Sophie. Watching this caused many tears to flow.

BTW, This was the first video I found after searching YT that was done by someone with DID. Stay strong together.

  • Hi :)

    This still gets us too...

There are a few people here on YT who are open about being DID. If you have a look at my friends and subscriptions you'll find a few others as well :)

Yes, we all stay strong together...

    Wishing you all the best...

    Take care

    Sophie :)

  • What is DID?

  • DID is short for Dissociative Identity Disorder.

  • Okay, thanks.

  • Thank U for making this...and for BEING A VOICE for ones like me!

  • The only way to stop the abuse is to build awareness...

    Take care...

    Sophie :)

  • That was absolutely BRILLIANT!!!

  • Thank you :)

  • wow, what you wrote at eight... made me cry... yes, i know what you mean

  • Take care of yourself :)

  • I will be 40 next summer and I still

have to face hell with my dad.

I have to protect not me ,now my daughters

    from him.

As I watched this I wonder when will be the time I can sleep without worry and when I would not have to live with all the hurting memory. I will do anything to protect my kids so they would not have to have a childhood of misery.

    Loved the vid! thanks

  • I hope that day and feeling of safety comes soon for you...

    Take care

    Sophie :)

  • Just a few days ago my friend told me that the way my husband treats me,I am being "abused all over".quite shocked, cause I never realized it.She was trying to warn me and i have been sick lately after being told so. I am feeling a little lost.

However,my husband is not violent or anything but my friend feels he is using me

for his convinience.well, I am grateful for her to be honest about how she feels.

    and merry xmas to you

  • If you are a survivor of abuse, it sometimes makes it harder to realise what is a healthy and what is an unhealthy relationship.

I don't want to pass any judgements on your husband, but not being violent doesn't necessarily mean that there isn't something unhealthy happening.

If you're seeing a therapist you might want to talk to them about it and describe the relationship and how it makes you feel.

    Take care,

    M.

  • All kids and nobody's fault but for the daddy.

  • Strangely enough there are no memories of abuse from the father. Apparently we dissociate badly and start to SI when any issues about the father are raised. But there are no memories, just the instinct to hide, run or avoid him.

Not really wanting to know what all of that means just yet - we're only just coping with what's going on at the moment.

    Take care

    Sophie :)

  • One day you will conquer all this.

You are halfway there by sharing your feelings and thoughts with other people.
