We had a jazz station in Detroit years ago called WJZZ 105.9 AKA JAZZ 106, and they blew this song up. And NOBODY got tired of it. This song sounds just as good today as it did many moons ago. I think this bad boy came during my high school years (late 80s-early90s).
Now some 20 years down the road, I hear this song, and I think about relationships gone bad. something for the fellas to think about. Fellas, if you got something going good, don't screw it up!
Kirk's playing is so emotional and soulful, Every note comes from the heart and is so powerful, from his solo in I will always love you by whitney houston, to his emotionally charged sax playing in John singleton's boys in the hood, Kirk is truly a master of his craft. If you get a chance check him out in a dvd casino light's 99 performing the song soweto, all I can say is it is powerful!!!!
I LOVE this song they play it all the time at my job. Good old Walgreens radio. However, her high notes are kinda rough. She's yelling way to much and she sounds like Stokley from Mint Condition. I still love the song though lmao
Great song, and an even better video! Smooth, soulful, and sophisticated music performed by sophisticated artists! I used to play this tune all the time in my car, especially on late Sunday afternoons. It's the type of music to get you really thinking deep. It's great to hear music like this performed by people who are actually mature enough to know what they are talking about, instead of a bunch of teeny-boppers talking about what they can "do" or how much they can spend!
This song represents to me around the time black Jazz artist were shelved on radio and fazed out by hip hop BS. Quiet Storm music lives on forever in the work. Jazz is forever!
Loved this song, haven't heard it in years. They used to play this a lot on the Quiet Storm back in the day! Guess there were a lot of people going through some hard times regarding their relationships. Still, it feels so good hearing this again:)
Am I the only one who hates to hear these beautiful voice i.e. Jevette Steele, Tina Moore, Liz Hough, and so many more, not have more music out there for us to enjoy!!! Any recommendations on new aritst with this kind of feel? Let Me Know...PLLLLLLEEEEEEEAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
been looking for this song for ages!!! After finally finding it on you tube I played it for 4 times repeatedly...bookmarked it too...lol...thankyou for posting it.

Kirk is awesome! This song came out b4 I knew abt Love but when I found out abt it...POWERFUL! Thanks 4 the post! Tho it's abt heartbreak, it is a wonderful song!
I've always loved this song! Had know idea the vocalist was Javeeta Steele! Such an under-rated singer. She recorded the hauntingly beautiful song, "I am caliing you" from the movie Baghdad cafe.
I like a VARIETY of music, and smooth jazz is one such "type," although I stumbled upon this one by accident. I bought Kirk's disk for the song "The Wave." This was one of the "also on the album" ones, but one I LOVED from the first note. (BTW -- my FIRST music is country.) I now listen to THIS track at LEAST as often as the one I bought the disk FOR. Thanks for posting!
This cut is a soulful sophisticated ballad of a broken heart.......some of us have tearfully been there..........sing it 'Vetta!

Voglio dedicarla a te, che ti sei presa cura di me come nessuno mai.
La dedico a te che mi manchi tanto
La dedico a te che non sei piu`, per me
