To be honest, the design flaw makes me wanna both LOL and scratch my head as to why they thought that was a good idea. It wasn't done for aesthetics either, to my eye at least, so...huh. The rest of the design with the catch and all look great though.

My hypothesis to why they used a K25 is because at full/near full compression, it is shorter in length compared to the K26 and others, so there isn't as much wasted space for the spring, thus allowing more draw. Not the best hand off though.

If the stock was longer, it might be easier to draw, because you wouldnt have to pull the bolt all the waya back to your shoulder. Because you would start to lose leverage as the bolt gets closer to your body. So maybe if you dont shotgun foregrip it, make the stock a couple inches longer.

He won't be able to get 8 inches of draw because there are more coils in a k26. They will run into each other before you can prime it that much.

He uses like 2 sticks of epoxy putty to do the simpliest mods like adding a coupler. He does the most basic mods and nothing creative or special.
