They go for anywhere between $400 - $800 USD for pure localities, less for "mutts". More for Grande Terre or Rhacodactylus leachianus leachianus (the larger subspecies) localities.
Wow, leachie's can get expensive tho! I never really got into the rhac's, since I really liked either something to look at (PDF's) or something to hold/play with. Rhacs in my opinion seem really cool, but I wouldn't really wnat one
feed him mushed bananas with a ton of wax worms mixed in it. i have family in new caledonia and they dont know anything about the gecko species from there...im like, hey pass them over!~LOL
fair enough, just sayin where i am its a henkelis nd loads of people where like oh yeah thats kool so i guess they would wanna know what it was :) thanx for the long name tho thats kinda kl
Okay, technically it is a small fuzzy, and "leachie" is short for Rhacodactylus leachianus. Island E is the locale of this particular leachianus, and being an island form it would be of the sub species henkeli. making it Rhacodactylus leachianus henkeli
OMG leachie are very hungry xD

giant crestie thats what lechi is and a beautyful one too. i love those guys.
stereomaxout 3 years ago
Well crested geckos have crests, and leachies dont. So they're just Giant geckos, not giant crested geckos.

what type of lizard is that?
ericlo419 3 years ago
do they need a speachil heat temp?
jamsterjamie98 3 years ago
They thrive in fluctuating ambient temperatures ranging from 70-82F (With a night drop), tho a temperature gradient in the enclosure is always best.

ChibiStar1991 3 years ago
Close, they are also in the Rhacodactylus genus, so they are like the crested geckos' big toothy cousin ;)

It's a Rhacodactylus Leachianus aka "a Leachie".
An amazing gecko from New Caledonia (in the pacific).
I have a Crestie and a Gargoyle but man I would love a Leachie one day!

Leachies are the perfect shoulder-surfing gecko ;) Whats the point of having a gecko so big if you cant hold it!

wax worms are fatty and not good as a nutritional staple. I feed mine dusted crickets & roaches, along with the formulated repashy diets.
