  • Listening to this with brand new skullcandy headphones = magical.

  • It is just so amazing, and the lyrics fit the game storyline so well, I love it :)

  • GOD DAMN COHEED DID IT AGAIN MUCH FUCKIN LOVE

  • Ladies and Gentlemen, The Joker's Theme Song as performed by Coheed and Cambria.

  • HA HA! Nelson Muntz liked this song XDD

    What an awesome song (L)

  • this song is fucking AMAZING. perfectly describes batman and joker's relationship.

  • Holy prog rock, Batman, this is one of the greatest things I've ever heard from Coheed or anyone...

  • I feel so stupid but they bring tears to my eyes

  • One of my fave songs off the soundtrack. I love them all.

  • I love Coheed and Cambria <3 XD

  • His voice is so addicting XD

  • Its no surprise the songs about the joker talking about how batman would be nothing without him making his life hell and how batman is just as deranged as him.....

  • where can I read/buy the coheed and cambria stories?

  • @OscarVega92

Go to your local comic book shop or Amazon and search for The Amory Wars. The story starts with "The Second Stage Turbine Blade" and then continues into "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth:3"

  • @OscarVega92 yeah id say amazon. thats where i get mine

  • is ANYONE going to make a arkham city music vid w/ this and all about joker?

  • @MrALEXANDERTHGR8 I already did.

  • @oss182 thank you

  • This and YOTBR are totally Coheed style, but now Ch

  • Please tell me about the save bug, its real or is a Joker's joke :P

  • Claudio himself said the inspiration for this song was the jokers and Batman's relationship. He didn't even write this till the very night of getting the deal to be on the soundtrack,so stop trying to overanylize

  • Okay, I could get massive hate for this, I don't know, but I can see conversations between a couple of Amory characters in this song too. Possibly Wilhelm Ryan's last attempt to psych out Claudio. That, or Claudio the Character lashing out at the writer inside the writer's head before the keywork goes kaput. I dunno, maybe it's just me.

  • @TSapp85 Listen to the instrumentation. This is during the Black Rainbow period. This song is about the Mages and the Prise "the darkness shrouds, the sirens shout", Wilhelm Ryan in his early form killing all of his adversaries to attain power, and then being chased out after the destruction of the first House Atlantic.

  • @LordAkaneon Claudio has said he's never going to write a song that will never be a part of "The Amory Wars". He did the same thing with "The Running Free" it was supposed to be in Transformers, but, it didn't make it, but it still had its place in the realm of "Coheed and Cambria". This is part of the story, before YotBR.

@TSapp85 The Amory Wars story is over. The world ended at the end of No World for Tomorrow. This is a prequel to the prequel of YotBR. Nothing to do with Wilhelm Ryan.

  • @mtwarriner I'm telling you, this is at the END of YotBR when Wilhelm gets chased off the planet by Inferno.

  • @LordAkaneon I could see if being from Wilhelm's perspective, but I do think this is before YotBR. Same time frame? Maybe. But, I do think this has something to do with The KBI. I will admit, I'm not up to date with anything from the recent Armory Wars story, so, you could be right.

  • @mtwarriner Yeah, this is from Wilhelm's perspective. He kills all of the other Mages to become the Supreme Tri-Mage, but Inferno/KBI show up and beat the crap out of Mayo Deftinwolf and chase Wilhelm off the planet.

  • @LordAkaneon According to an interview with Claudio Sanchez, this song really doesn't have anything to do with the 'Coheed and Cambria' story. It's all based on "The Killing Joke" and a dialogue between The Joker and Batman.

Sadly, it seems we were both wrong...

  • How appropriate...

  • Last song with pennie

  • @kbibeast I believe that would be the ZZ top cover song they just released.

  • @eat4cookies yup, that's it i guess. in my opinion Josh fits better in Coheed And Cambria than Chris

  • this song is totally from the Joker to Batman.

  • This is the perfect way to represent Batman and Joker's relationship. <3

  • Will miss Mark Hamill playing Joker... T_T

  • how dose this not have more views?

  • Claudio never ceases to amaze. He is a great lyricist

  • i was high when i first heard this song, fucking sweet

  • This song and the game captured the relationship between the joker and batman so well. The joker hates and somehow loves batman at the same time as he is always looking to get a laugh out of the dark knight. The joker would never kill batman, just destroy everything and everyone around him. At least, this is the way I've always viewed it.

  • @Mr4PowerUp completely agree, but if he where to finish the dark knight off once and for all I'd think he'd want to go at the same time and get the laugh he always wanted from the Bat. because his crusade of terror was at least 80% fueled by batman's constant role in stopping him.

  • This song is filled with dread. A feeling making me want to both smile and cry at the same time. Its a smothering feeling yet its simple beauty amazes, at the least. It's beautiful.

  • @bonnybee99 Wth... I never thought you would look this up lol.

  • @bonnybee99

OMG I feel the exact same way whenever I listen to this song! =)

    Such an eerie, amazing song!

  • THIS SONG IS FUCKING EAR POON

SMOKE IT WITH YOUR LOBES MOTHER FUCKERS

  • This song makes me wanna strip naked, burst out of my window, free fall 28 floors, faceplant in the snow, make a snow angel mixed with my own blood, shiver from the cold, get hypothermia, DIE, go the pearly gate, say wuzzup to Jesus, do our secret hand shake, look for Buddha, find him, have him reincarnate me into a frog, meet a princess, kiss her, turn into a prince, order my subjects to bring me a computer, listen to this song again, go to sleep. Wake up.. Repeat.

  • @Bpainz i cant stop laughing at this xD

  • @Bpainz Very...interesting

  • oh sorry about that you already had it :D

  • "our world's a paradise" how i hear that, sorry my corrections :)

  • It's the Jokes on you, poison me. Not Poisoning.

  • @sweetpea3900 i already told that :)

  • "The Jokes on you poisoning" ? Im playing the game, so I understand how that makes sense. Even so, I still hear "The jokes on you, for today" every time I listen to it.

  • @abelmyster i hear it "the jokes on you poison me" does that make sense??

  • @CoCaFanboy To me it does. That's what me and my aunt thought it said when we were listening to it in the car.

  • This song sounds like something Joker would say to Batman to keep The Dark Knight from killing him.

  • Best song ever to explain the same difference between Batman and The Joker.

  • @Hatebreed0 nah Ra's al Ghul

  • @CharnoTV doesn't seem like he's talking about Ra, since joker and Bats have more in common.

  • love this game i got the collectors edition on saturday and have been playing it since and listen to this song while i play it songs fits the relationship between bats and joker perfectly

  • love this gmae i got the colectors edition on saturdya and have been playing it ince and listne to this sng while i play it songs fits the relationship between bats and joker perfectly

  • Haven't got the game but heard about the ending. What a terrific song to fit the game. If it were a film I'm willing to bet it'll be the best Batman film ever made(even over the overrated TDK and my favourite Begins).

  • i love Coheed. im guna get the keyword tattoo as soon as i can. but im hopin when they come out with a new album its another one like Good Apollo 1 or 2 and not like another Black Rainbow.

  • This song is freaking amazing...havent gotten to play Arkham City yet, but if its half as cool as this song I'll be completely happy.

  • Having played the full game through this song really should have been played over the end credits in my opinion

  • @JPM2875 Wait, it isn't in the end credits? Damn, oh well, I haven't played the game yet (waiting for PC release), but I know what happens, and being such a big fan of Batman, it makes me wanna play the game even more.

  • @JPM2875 where is it played?

  • @77Hking From what I've played, it's not in the game, only on the soundtrack.

  • @JPM2875 I agree completly.

  • @JPM2875 No. Put your head down, go to sleep.

  • @JPM2875 After seeing the way Batman looked at the end, that's even more reason to be played at the end credits.

  • @JPM2875 or when Batman walks out of Arkham City with The Joker's Body in his arms which is before the credits even begin :)

  • guys just to let u know there is another batman game coming out and harley quinn is pregnant!!!!!!!

  • This fits Batman's and Joker's relationship perfectly, in my opinion.

  • @JokersNewLuver I thought the same exact thing.. Coheed is favorite band ever and the joker is my favorite batman character. I'm glad they did this song and took the vantage point of the joker and kind of described their relationship between each other.

  • How is this describing the relashionship between Batman and Joker? I know it's on the tip of my tounge, but I just cannot place it

  • @DarkAmbellina well, Batman doesn't kill so he won't kill the joker. The Joker won't kill Batman because he thinks " he's just too much fun". And that they are destined to "do this forever"....they both kind of feed off of each other and make them who they are in a sense. In my opinion anyway.

  • @DarkAmbellina Well we all know Joker is nuts and think about Batman: A man who dresses up as a bat who goes around beating up people with the idea that only through only his way can you stop Gothom from being destroyed. Case in point he is also crazy and the Joker is the only one who see's this and finds it HILARIOUS.

  • Arkham City had one of the best endings I've ever seen. This should have been the game's credit music.

  • I'm usually not a Coheed fan, but damn if this song isnt awesome. Awesome game too.

  • 2:45. An afterthought? I thought he said "here lies two souls".

  • It doesn't matter if you're in a musical, a Disney film, or on a "Songs Inspired By" album...villains ALWAYS have the best songs.

  • "Were one and the same" The definition of Batman and Joker.

  • In the first time i've heard the part "we're one and the same"

I thought he said: no one will be save.

  • Man trust Coheed and Cambria to make the best song for Batman Arkham City.

  • Wow. I wasn't expecting this from Coheed!

  • The more I listen to this song, the more I wonder how any fan of Batman who actually listens to it could thumb it down. This is Joker's fucking ODE to Batman.

Tim Drake thumbed this down 'cause he's still butthurt about that whole "I took over your body for a while there" thing.

  • One m0:00re time!

  • The joker has a point, ya know. If not, why does batman dress as a flying rat running around at night? And where does the term bat-shit-insane come from?

  • Who had the balls to dislike this video, honestly?

  • @Canzerkillz Satan, because he knows C and C's music will eventually destroy him.

  • @Canzerkillz probably riddler, because this song isn't about him.

  • There's a speech in The Killing Joke that this song echoes perfectly

  • The lyrics are soooooo strong!!!!!!

  • @TheSith1111 And that's why in my opinion this is the ONLY song on the Arkham City album worth buying :)

  • @JPM2875 for real bro

  • @JPM2875 Coheed and cambria, such beautiful story tellers always have been. and this song is no different, it's so exciting to hear they are stepping from their usual story and doing BATMAN it's almost dream, the idea is .

  • @JPM2875 what about SERJ!

  • @TheSith1111 Because Claudio actually understands the whole Batman mythology.

  • without the joker batman has no one else to fight . if you think about it the joker and batman never try to kill each other because joker knows batman will and can beat up his goons so they really care about each other and if not they would hav been killed each other

  • this is a song from joker to batman

  • i.love.this.song!

  • Favorite band with my Favorite game the world finally make sense

  • i have to admit... this is a bit weird.. with coheed not having songs around amory wars and what not. it's outside of their "zone"? i guess is the right word. but it is still amazing. it proves that they can be comfortable outside of their themed base music? idk lmfao. claudio, you have yet to disappoint me :)

  • @lakensofa

claudio has written a lot of non amory wars styled music, and its all pretty good.

  • claudio, you are a beautiful man.

  • Absolutely amazing the lyrics are just phenomenal. It's like the joker wrote this himself. Pretty cool.

  • Coheed and Cambria just keep getting better and better!!!! I love every album, every song, every video, everything!!!! I love this song!!! It is amazing!!! Haters can hate, but they are just fake fans.

A real fan loves every aspect of the band and their music!!!!

  • @Eibon1307 So very true :D

  • Y'ah know, listening to this song makes me think that The Joker could actually die this time.

  • Love coheed. YOTBR and this song are just lame. doesnt feel like them at all. sorry. R.I.P Coheed.

  • @AmericanFifa shut up old fag

  • @AmericanFifa I wasn't a fan of YOTBR, but I feel like this still had the same aura as the works prior to it.

  • ummmmm i sorry but i was wrong...............we both were. i played the song with my kick ass skull candys and messed with my eq and i found out its "our world's our very lives"

  • nvm i was rightlol the first time

  • this is one of my favorite songs by them

  • When this comes out, I'm listening to this song over and over while playing it.

It'll make the experience so much cooler.

  • This song is seriously amazing

  • Im totally DLing this song and making a new FMV tonight!

  • I likey

  • This is for the joker I believe

  • Once again I have myself a forbidden love, damn you Claudio for being so damn close to perfect

  • I fuck to this song

  • the 1 who dislikes has no taste

  • I've tried my best to fix any lyric dependencies with annotations where they were needed

  • @JPM2875 It IS poisoning. You had it right. They have the lyrics up on their main tumblr page. c:

  • @JPM2875 It IS poisoning. You had it right. They have the lyrics up on their main tumblr page. c:

  • @JPM2875 i don't know why but i here it "The jokes on you poison me" i haven't played the game and it might be that doesn't make sense but anyway that's how i hear that...anyone agrees?? :)) but nice vid

  • ok i understand where you got the lyrics but there are some errors

its "our world's our paradise" not "our world's no paradise"

there is no "is" in "your darkest day your friend in need"

    thats all I saw.

  • @killerx10001 it's definitly our worlds no paradise, our worlds our paradise doesn't make sense since when was batman's/thejokers world a paradise?

  • @daunzey ok its saying there worlds ie the fact that they live to fight each other is there own paradise in the view of joker because there life will not be how do i put this..."complete" without each other

  • @daunzey ok he is saying each others world's are each others paradise

  • @daunzey ok he is saying each others world's are each others paradise

  • Will they related this song on their next album

  • The one dislike is Batman disagreeing with the Joker.

  • @Darreck3 The second dislike is Robin.

  • @Darreck3 and the third's nightwing

  • Can't stop listening, it's addictive !! Best Song ever !

  • I'm view # 666. :D

  • Lol 666 views. xD

Anyway, this is a great song I really can't stop listening to it!

  • Thanks for posting this video iv listen to all of C&C songs but this one and i just had a really bad day, this song just made me feel so good Thank you XD

  • @SuperJames216 Glad I was able to help you feel better. Coheed Rocks

  • This is officially the fastest any of my videos have ever gotten this many views :D

  • 666 VIEW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you for the video!! :D I have a question though, where did you get the song? lol

  • @Basalt45 I downloaded it from Youtube after IGN put it up.

  • I've been listening to this song for an hour.

  • I think Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard did a really good job, and Danny Elfman's style fit his pretty well. Just depends on interpretation as well. But as far as the video games go, I think this is as close as they will get. Its very emotionally driven. Honestly, the rest of the soundtrack will prolly be a bunch of generic crap that doesn't sound epic or fitting at all, although I'm rooting for Serj Tankian. That's most soundtracks are when inspired by. A few goodies and the rest is crap.

  • Plus, this song is heaven because I am a comic book fan and a coheed fan, so this song is pure "Jizz-in-my-pants" candy. I'm sure Claudio felt the same way as he is a comic book nerd. Now that I think about it, if I wanted to be a purist about Batman's sound, I don't think there is any band that can really give off the music he needs in a realistic sense. Composed music is the only fitting one, so I think if bands are gonna do music for it, I think this is as close as ull get to batman's mood.

  • I honestly think it conveys the Joker's view and style pretty well honestly. I know its relative really but I'm a huge movie/music/score nerd and I hate when bands don't get it right with a sound, but I think this matches because it is a bit of a mess, it sounds chaotic but in a rhythmic way, they are not just banging stuff around. Not to mention I can just imagine a dramatic face off between batman and the joker during this song.

  • I think the last chorus is a dead give away for the joker due to the HAHA's. Anyhow, as I said earlier, with the recent rise in popularity of the dark side of batman, I think this song sounds a lot better than U2 would ever be willing to do. The song mentioned I believe is a much better fit for Spider-man or something a little more heroic and less conflicting and disturbed. I don't think U2 has it in them to write anything like that. They are more uplifting and Batman is anything but that.

  • I disagree with mrArnie. IMO i think U2 is not a fit at all for Batman, especially this darker version as U2's particular sound is light and doesn't make me think of anything dark or conflicting, at least not in the sense that batman is. I think tonally, this song is frickin' awesome and fits the bill as a song by the Joker telling Batman that he'll always need him. Lyrics-wise, the only thing i find faintly amateur is the bridge between the 2nd and 3rd chorus, but i think the rest is fine.

  • This sounds amateur, I don't think this is right for Batman when you compare this to U2's " the boy falls from the sky" it just sounds dated cheesy rock and abit of a mess...great timing though. IMO this is a miss and doesn't convey "Batman". Lyrics are brilliant.

  • hmmmm, i am still trying to figure out if Claudio sings this from the perspective of batman or the joker, what are your thoughts dudes?

  • @NuTsY051 I think it's from the perspective of The Joker. You can see it a lot in the chorus. But I have been wrong before... either way it's an amazing song.

  • @NuTsY051 As the Joker, In the comics he mentions how him and batman are not much different from each other, which is true, they are bothed F**** in the head. Batman created the joker so without each other it wouldnt be the way it is.

  • Am I the only one that thinks strange should have a S instead of lower case? Seeing this song is about the Batman verse, and that you fight Hugo Strange in Arkham City, I found that to be fitting.

  • I love you for posting the lyrics!

  • This song as quickly grown to be one of my favorite songs by Coheed :D

  • Good video. I think it might be "poison me" instead of "poisoning."

  • Comment removed

  • If this is not the end credits song, I will be upset.

  • Wouldn't you love for the Joker to bust out singing this in a confrontation with Batman?

  • Such an amazing song...thank you for the lyrics xD

  • @thecrystalchronic69 You're welcome. I didn't realize how long it actually took to put a video like this together lol, but it was totally worth it.

  • @JPM2875 Coheeds been my favorite band for a while, I was more into their old stuff, but this song impressed me the most
