I think that probably what is the most moving though is that this film that I saw on kookíca is able to take hold of you and when you're let go in the end; the only thing you can think of is that you are just glad to seeing it.
This movie that I just have finished enyojing on kookíca, does nearly everything an action picture is supposed to do; from the opening scene it grabs you tight, and doesn't let go until the 98 minutes of suspenseful filmmaking has concluded.

From my perspective, this is one of the best horror films ever made because, unlike Saw and Hostel, The Strangers main attempt to scare people is by suspense and terror instead of intense gore and high body count, which is rare to be found in a horror film.
@puppetofgames I agree. I am a hard-core Horror film fan & out of the hundreds that I have seen, "The Strangers" is one of the more frightening films. I consider it a modern-day classic that will retain it's appeal for many years. Saw, Hostel & their many copycats never frightened or scared me. Those films rely soley on shock, gore & recycled stories. "The Strangers" used sounds/music, camera angles & great acting to create high tension. As you wrote, this is rare in Horror films.

Mirrors is a pretty good movie,but its supernatural though. Its not Gore horror,but has a good and consistent story. You just have to keep an open mind when you watch the movie.
Another Horror movie that i liked (this one is gore),but some people criticize this movie is Hostel 1. Not part 2. Even though part 2 was decent. It was alright. I thought part 1 of Hostel was kick ass.
As for the Saw series i only like part 1 also. Anything after part 1 was just boring and long.
Another good series was "Halloween" With that Mike Myers character. That was a pretty nice series. "Friday the 13th" was meh.... it was alright,but i think Friday the 13th gets more hype then its worth. Not saying its a bad series. I just think its an overrated series. People give it to much credit.
"Nightmare on elm street" series is another fantastic horror series and another classic that a lot of people know about. That one i think lives up to its hype.

This movie sucks so hard. A two year old could have come up with this storyline. Guy leaves. Girl gets tortured by people in masks. Guy comes back. They continue to get tourtured. They die. It was kind of scary at some points but it was a horrible movie.

From my perspective, this is one of the best horror films ever made because, unlike Saw and Hostel, The Strangers main attempt to scare people is by suspense and terror instead of intense gore and high body count, which is rare to be found in a horror film.

@puppetofgames I agree. I am a hard-core Horror film fan & out of the hundreds that I have seen, "The Strangers" is one of the more frightening films. I consider it a modern-day classic that will retain it's appeal for many years. Saw, Hostel & their many copycats never frightened or scared me. Those films rely soley on shock, gore & recycled stories. "The Strangers" used sounds/music, camera angles & great acting to create high tension. As you wrote, this is rare in Horror films.

Ya sure i guess.
Mirrors is a pretty good movie,but its supernatural though. Its not Gore horror,but has a good and consistent story. You just have to keep an open mind when you watch the movie.
Another Horror movie that i liked (this one is gore),but some people criticize this movie is Hostel 1. Not part 2. Even though part 2 was decent. It was alright. I thought part 1 of Hostel was kick ass.
As for the Saw series i only like part 1 also. Anything after part 1 was just boring and long.

Another good series was "Halloween" With that Mike Myers character. That was a pretty nice series. "Friday the 13th" was meh.... it was alright,but i think Friday the 13th gets more hype then its worth. Not saying its a bad series. I just think its an overrated series. People give it to much credit.
"Nightmare on elm street" series is another fantastic horror series and another classic that a lot of people know about. That one i think lives up to its hype.

In that case I guess i can tell you a good unpopular movie. Its not really that scarey,but its got a pretty nice story. Its called "Midnight Meat train"
The ending is a bit corny,but the story is awesome.
I watched a lot of horror movies in my time,but i can't think of anymore at the moment. If i remember more though I'll definitely let ya know a couple more if they come to mind.

It wasnt a true story, it was based on sum1 knocking on the director of the movies house door when he was little and askin for someone who used to go around stealing from people houses, the rest is totally made up, they changed it all basically. This movie sucks so hard. A two year old could have come up with this storyline. Guy leaves. Girl gets tortured by people in masks. Guy comes back. They continue to get tourtured. They die. It was kind of scary at some points but it was a horrible movie.
