  • Oh my god. Oh my god. I have so much hate right now.

... There was a Call of Duty on a Metal Church song. A METAL CHURCH SONG. WAT |:

  • this song sounds like my life story. great song.great band.great day to be alive.

  • i still can't believe how a talented band such as Metal Church is so under-rated ....

  • 0 dislikes. Damn right!

  • the solo seems to send my soul soaring. and make me shamelessly alliterate

  • the underground of the underground of the underground metalheads worship this masterpiece. a true gem

  • Almost undoubtedly the most underrated metal band and album of all time

  • as a true metal player... going back to your roots always seems to reach out to metal church. record in an aircraft hangar and be astonished!!

  • I agree with wat dude said up above,i saw the add for this album in a hit parader mag.At the time i was into the christian metal seen Stryper,Holy Soldier whatever, the add said heavenly metal by metal church so i bought.23 years later i still listen to this disc

  • METAL CHURCH IS TRULY AMAZING \m/

  • Very good Metal Church : )

  • WHAT A GREAT FUCKING ALBUM AND SONG ONE OF THE TOP 10 METAL ALBUMS OF ALL TIME

  • if you are a blacksheep like me, this is one of your stable of go to songs... I got jokes and ideas to .... go back to those in your past that thought blocked you on a topic, and going back to win the debate and earn the respect. I have the tools to travel easily in the OC/LA area of Southern California. The keys are finding the response/objection sentences, and taking your emotions out and reread the english, find the joke and then the joker you hate their objection when are correct & corrected

  • PERFECTION

  • At no doubt, one of the best albums ever made.

The sequence of chords at the first part is beautifully amazing.

  • Metal Church was my absolute favorite metal band some 24 years ago. I cannot tell you how sick I get at the thought of the band no longer being together and no longer performing. This song is a monument in metal history.

  • Anthem to the Estranged, exelent song and Exelent Album.

    Guitarras: John Marshall, Craig Wells

    Batería: Kirk Arrington

    Bajo: Duke Erickson

    Voz: Mike Howe

  • I prefer "The Dark" over "Blessing in Disguise", AND "The Human Factor". Don't know about their newer albums. I guess i gotta get back into them. I''ve been into Funeral Doom Metal as of late, and it's my preferred brand of metal. I still won't abandon my metal roots, though. Metal Church being one of the great bands i've been listening to since the 80's.

  • I think the solo in this song is very killer! Whoever disagrees sucks!

  • Wow! This song is a great one about the homeless. Someone who had everything, and is now only concerned about getting some shelter, some booze, and digging through a trashcan for food. Very sad about humanity, how we can see the upside and the downside of people just by driving down the street.

  • k pasa mexico nadie habla de esta banda tan chingona solo en juarez mi hijo tiene 19 años y ya sabe de esta banda el primer disco k le puse fue the dark a los 15 años

  • Quite fuckin' awesome!!!!!!!!!

  • @TorturedSanity Same here.

  • simply one of the most underrated albums ever!wow 256 likes and no dislike! WOOOW

  • @siliyemoodislam Nobody dare dislike the church!! VERY great metal band, and like you said, underrated album was "Blessing in Disguise". Hell, "The Dark"' was underrated, too. I still think David Wayne was better than Mike Howe.

  • simply one of the most underrated albums ever!

  • to bad this song isn't referencing the current p.o.t.u.s.a.

  • yesh you know its a dope song with no dislikes!

  • What a cool-ass name for a band. Everything I LOVE about Metal!

  • THIS IS OF THE TRUE FAITH!!

  • For all those who know me...They know I want this song to be played at my funeral.

  • fn ass kicking song

  • Beautiful song....

  • One of the best introductions

    Their best song

They had to make a video for this song

  • I never remember them playing this on the radio but regardless it is a great song!

  • mike howe are one of the best metal singer ! i buy this great work in 97 in a little shop near the switzerland borderline and i was completely in rapture after the listening of this track...

  • The lyrics are simply brilliant. There aren't many songs with lyrics that sensible and fitting like this one.

  • TY 4 this song. Badlands Fake Healer and The Spell can't B broken rule!!

  • One of the best songs I have EVER heard! Mike Howe's vocals are incredible!

  • Awesome song, really an underated band!!

  • Awesome song, really an underated band!!

  • Metal Church is my religion!!! ♪

  • great song, and great album, it brings me back good olg memories...the 80's rulz

  • Perfect album!

  • Ohhhhhhhhhhh GOD He fucking starts screaming, like where it goes "Take an extra moment, when you find yourself at peace..." and it just makes me want to fucking headbang so hard... I love this song. So heavy when it contrasts to the clean sections... ♥

  • Blessing in Disguise will go down in history as one of the greatest metal albums ever recorded. Life is unfair, Metallica puts out the garbage that was fuel and re fuel and metal church fades into obscurity. I dare anyone to name me one bad sone from the blessing in disguise album, im glad i grew up in this era, thx so much for posting.

  • @afoolisharrangement Amen to that dude!

Every song on Blessing is a 10 out of 10!

  • @fatesrush

    Indeed!

  • @afoolisharrangement I Agree with ya 100% But In Metalicas De fence There last One Kicked Ass

  • @afoolisharrangement I, too, was always a big Metal Church fan. I did get to see Metallica play once. James Hetfield had burned his hand so John Marshall played guitar for him. I never liked Metallica much but that show was cool...Faith No More, Metallica, and Guns-n-Roses... You are correct in your words though. Metal Church was and still is a great band.

  • @afoolisharrangement they were called ''load'' and ''reload'' and they were hardly trash...they were just not the same style as their previous albums...more hard rock/country-like than thrash metal, that's all...now this particular album by Metal Church has a few memorable/catchy tunes-it's an all around decent effort, but I wouldn't go as far as calling it a classic...I believe their greatest moment was their debut!

  • Sounds like Solitude Aternus

  • i wish i could find a live version of this song!

  • Great album, great song. Mike Howe is probably the most underrated metal singer.

  • Best Metal Church song ever in my opinion, and I like then all!

  • Excellent when it came out, still excellent!!!!

  • Seriously epic song! "Take an extra moment..." sends chills up my spine. Freakin powerful! Mike Howe is one of the most underrated singers. Always wished he had hooked up with Schuldiner for Control Denied. Nothing against Ayamar, but imagine Howe on The Fragile Art!!

  • @TornWithinOfficial Did that almost happen??? Man, that kinda breaks my heart. That would've put that record over the top. Not that Ayamar wasn't good, but man, Howe is incredible. I never understood the MC fanbase obsession with David Wayne; Howe blew him out of the fucking water. Why he never cracked the upper echelon of revered metal singers is a mystery to me.

  • @aldersmoke1 I don't think so man. From what I've read Schuldiner was sold pretty quick on Ayamar (a mutual friend put them in contact) and didn't do a crazy search. Yeah it kinda sucks to think about what could've been (also would've killed to hear Russ Anderson from Forbidden on the fragile art) I totally agree with what you on both fronts. Howe is a wicked vocalist!!!

  • @aldersmoke1 He did not blow David wayne out of the water, Both are fucking great. David Wayne(r.i.p) Just had a gnar gnar metal voice, That I prefer.

  • Oh dear... I remember this song was good, but I didn't remember that this was such good!

Hello, driver, can we go back to the '80-s, please?

  • A Lyrical Opus...

  • This song is so special to me! A crucial era for me, greatest lyrics, truly an anthem!!

  • I remember back in the day listening to this and i always knew that bands like this were far beyond there time. Its good to read these comments all these yaers later and know that this music is still as powerful as it was then, when listening to this kind of music was not the "norm".

  • I havent heard these guys in years! thank you...brings back good memories!

  • This is far too close to Alice Cooper's "Desperado" to write off as a coincidence.

  • cheers men,lol

  • High PERFECTION in metal music a legand, high leve singer, high level music, metal church and specialy these pieces is the "Everest mont" of the metal.

  • I used to be one of the "Estranged"...Not fun!!

  • @Slayer666UT I was sort of homeless before. Glad i got out of the yard i was living in and into a home. My heart aches for the homeless. They just don't know how to get out of the mess they're in. :(

  • B.I.D... surpasses any other HM album due to all tracks are great, with Fake Healer boasting the best Rock riff of all time.

Sheer perfection when heard with headphones and the solos are spot on with each song..

Some so called great metal tracks lack with the solo and timing..

    MC provide timing to perfection.

    Tis a masterpiece of work..

  • @Hawkzblade I agree Blessing In Disquise is a true masterpiece! Arguably one of the best albums ever recorded!

  • It was played 20 years ago on KNAC ( Los Angeles - Radio Heavy Metal Radio )

  • FANTASTIC

  • i loved metal church the best out of all groups right behind zeppelin but it was close. then metallica because this filled a need in me better than any other group.and you guys who understand metal know what im talking about.. a thing in the soul that part approaches God and its near perfect state is the only real way to reach God. This music is what mozzart would have played if he had electric guitar...

  • mike howe is a criminally underrated singer !!

  • so dramatic... great song

  • this is actually the first video i've seen on youtube that has NO dislikes! not without reason though, this song is close to perfection

  • good music

  • just found a tape I got off of WBLM in maine 24 yrs ago, did lyric search and found out finally who did this and name of song! thanks- check out cyclone temple, words are just words

  • @infinity6969 wow really..wblm blows im from maine too....but this rocked years ago and still does!!!sick old album

  • What an incredible song! Such great lyrics, and Mike Howe's voice is perfect for this masterpiece!

  • When the solo starts at 6:35, it is a thing of beauty.

    I love this song

  • @cosmicsuperstrong Craig Wells, i believe, was that guitarist who did that solo. Or was it John Marshall, Hetfield's former guitar tech. Still, it's one of the all-time great solos from ANY metal band, in my opinion.

  • wow .. me thinks me have this album but dunno where it is now .

anw one of those nice songs by MC .

    \m/

  • reminds me a bit of Pale Shelter by Heretic

  • This is truly one of the greatest metal songs ever written. From the excellent musical craftmanship to the amazing lyrics - this song is so well-conceived and socially aware - no one can touch this. No One! Metal Church will always be one of my all time favorites! "Think about your values and your own affluency- all alone!"

  • Still ranks as a favorite song of mine to this day... this whole album has a special place for me, and still does... It now reminds me of a lot that I have lost..

  • a song this well written... is almost foreign these days!!!! a classic!!! especially during the the time of "puppets"," peace sells", "among the living", "reign in blood", etc. ... masterpiece!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I was a Music Director for a rock station in Louisiana from 89-93 - we played this all the time, just another great song from a great album. This song was very topical for it's time as well.

  • A master song forever and forever a fan

  • Great lyrics, great music, great band, great times¡¡¡¡¡

  • Reminds me of high school.. I had Metal Church, DIO, Armored Saint or Savatage in the car stereo at all times!

  • Metal church was one of my favourite bands in the late eighties,

    was a great time

  • Been wandering around in the metal world for a quarter of a century now, and never came across a band that gave me bigger goosebumps and shivers than Metal Church, on studio records as well as live. That says it all. My heart was broken when I heard about their final breakup some months ago, but the music will live on forever in my mind, heart and soul! MC RULES!

  • I remember listening this on tape when I was a kid, rewind listen again rewind listen again and again and again. Was it really 20 years ago?

  • @Noctivagant Yeah, unfortunately it was. God damn, we are old!

  • @Noctivagant Yep it's been 20 years! Wow! I remember buying the CD. If it was a cassette, i woulda wore it out!

  • One of the best songs

  • Best lyrics ever from this group, so much meaning and emotion behind it.

  • I feel the metal in my heart when I hear this song. The Ultimate Metal Anthem!

  • This is absolutely marvelous song that I've heard for a long time!

  • I remember this album. Best of its day. This song amps me up.

  • so underratted what a amazing song this band and megadeth r the greatest bands alive...

  • Salute also from Finland.

Really great sone. Great lyrics, great vocals and great atmosphere!

  • Whoa! Great...Still rocks..One of my

    all time heroes.Salute from finland!!

  • mike howe-era metal church is some of the finest 3 albums in history

  • Great song. Howe sounds much like Halford or even better. Heard it on the radio some 20 years ago and couldnt believe it. I love it.

  • Wow! 20 years ago they were actually playing good music on the radio.

  • Actually, you almost never heard anything like this on the radio...at least not at any of the major stations in the New York area.

  • well lucky now we have internet where we can discover and listen to all the great bands that weren't publicized back then :).

  • @Kaenanthebarbarian I became a Metal Church fan about the same time I did with Metallica and Megadeth. Circa 1988 or so. Started with this album right here, in fact. Got it when it was new, then picked up the older two others, then went from there as new ones came out, until, Hanging in the Balance I think, then the band kind of went in '90s obscurity.

  • @Kaenanthebarbarian Yep, I too heard this on the radio some 20+ years ago, thank God for college stations. Heavy Metal every Friday and Saturday back in the day, songs and bands that you would not otherwise hear. GREAT POST!!!!! ♪

  • @Kaenanthebarbarian true man. ill tell you id still be listening to disturbed (nothing against them, i just wasnt completely content with the music as i listened to it, as i feel home listeneing to MC.) on the radio if it wasnt for the internet. I would have been another doomed 15-year-old. Something about thrash/power/speed/death/heavy metal just makes me feel so perfect, in my heart and in my balls. Thanks for the upload.

  • @nightstorm16

I used to listen to this on WJUL out of the U. Mass Lowell in '86. They had a program called Metallic Mayhem every Wednesday night.

  • @nightstorm16 No youll never here metalchurch on the radio MAYBE fake healer or badlands but I believe their more underground

  • @nightstorm16 detroit and saginaw brought a little of this and more into the main stream for a little while in the 80s>>>>

  • @Gitspie

was also one of my favortite bands in the eighties, and this is one of their best songs

  • @Gitspie he is very good but sounds nothing like Halford. I am a hardcore Priest fan so I know..........

  • @Gitspie He's great... But Halford is incomperable ))) imo

  • @AvernuM1 Halford is the best vocalist in metal no doubt ,but this bastard Howe here he comes pretty close on a scale of excellence.

  • @BLACKSABBATH0HM

Halford is amazing.... his vocals get so high that it sounds like he's on helium. Wish I could do that. Also, Goeff Tate (Queensryche,) and call me biased but Hetfield (Metallica,) as well as Matt Heafy of Trivium. Dio obviously, as well as that washed up junkie Ozzy. Bon Scott and Brian Johnson. Also the singer from the band Nitro, Biff Byford of Saxon, Paul Day original Iron Maiden, Luke Gibson & Michael Burrough of Soul Sanctuary, Jack Black too... though his is for comedy.

  • @mechaghostman2 I wish you guys would quit making fun of Ozzy. He didnt come from a particularly happy child hood.

  • @Gitspie Even better, he sounds like Geddy Lee!!

  • @TOEFLESH how in the hell is geddy lee better than halford!?

  • One of the best songs EVER! Mike Howe ROCKS! Bring him back Metal Church!

  • Thanks for upload :D i Love Metal Church with Mike Howe! Mike Rules!

  • your welcome :)

  • Epic song!!!!!!!

  • May be one of the best metal song...ever...when I told heavy metal I thing this song!

  • This song is amazing..... This band is INCREDIBLY underrated!!!!

  • Great song! Takes me back to the old mullet days.

  • epic metal ballad!

  • mike howe singing at his best !!!!!!! metal church rules !!!!!!!

  • man he is GOD, perfect voice

  • @DandyBlues your welcome :)

  • i feel the metal in my heart when i hear this song....

  • @DandyBlues - yes!!! AMAZING !!!

  • A waste of nine and a half minutes of my life. Just Kidding.5 stars

  • Incredible song, love it, thanks for uploading this.

Metal Church are way too underated. \m/

  • no problem man, almost got the whole album up.
