man on wire was terrible. the man was an egotistical asshole who used his friends. the movie was incredibly boring and simple. i could tell you in one sentence what happens: A man plans years to walk between skyscrapers and then does it. The feat was neat, the lass was an ass, and there was no reason to use 90 minutes to drag this out with annoying commentaries by all those involved, especially the lead dick.
The only thing I don't like about YouTube is that people can make stupid remarks like Alfrunk has done here. This is one of the great documentaries ever made. It's moving and heartbreaking at the same time. It deservedly won the Oscar this year. It's about so much more than wire-walking.
yeah i liked it, but it played that one song over and over. but still that aside, great eye opneing documentary. for sure this will win best documentary at the oscars.
I know - it's like suddenly people have this HUGE love for wire-walkers?? Huh?? Since WHEN has anyone ever been inspired and joyous over a circus act like wire-walking? Just goes to show what SHEEP these people are. Something is seen as popular, and suddenly everyone is on the bandwagon. Have any of these lemmings given a SHIT about wirewalking before? Disgusting.
Great review! I want to see this movie now! I'll have to look for it on DVD! I still think your show belongs on TV! Have you approached Bravo network or something? I think people would love it. Even when you guys argue, it's great. We love your personalities and don't change! Peace to you and good luck.
If you do a little more research about Philippe, you learn that he agreed to explain all of his methods to the police in exchange for a dismissal of the charges.
I think you are missing the greater point about Philippe's feat. His act brought joy to the lives of many. I suggest you watch the movie rather than dismiss the man as a criminal.
Yeah let's idolize a criminal. What a life - he balanced on a wire and didn't die - wow. And some people just wanna cure cancer. Sad the "people" we look up to these days, while overlooking true heroes. Sick.
Great review. When the artist was asked why he did it, he said 'there is no why' and having seen the film I understand his answer. Oh to have such passion.
I love this review. I must now see this documentary. I think this is the best review because of your enthusiasm. You are both vibrant, exuberant, inspired and inspiring. Bravo! More like this!!
these two are just a joy to watch interacting and they surely know their stuff. There were a few spoilers without alerts but still a grea review and such wonderful chemistry. "Class never goes out of style".
I skip most "blockbusters", at least first run, as I find them too formulaic to bother. This film is one that I will make the effort to see at the theater. Many thanks for the heads up and for the excellent commentary.

THe sexual chemistry in this review is as overwhelming as it is disturbing.

No, no, your observation that there is overt
sexual chemistry is laughable and disturbing.

Evidently you are quite young and naive. Please grow up a bit before making such a ridiculous claim.

It's typically like this in most of their videos lol.
