  • Great first attempt. Do u use Lightroom 2, 3? Just getting into this stuff myself. Good work, D!

  • @vinxmas thanks so much!!! I was using lightroom 2 at that time ;-).. shooting JPEG.. still have much more to learn in this type study.

  • ottimo

  • Love the huge ass boat that just passes through like he owns the joint!xD

  • Imagine what this would look like 7 years from now when the transbay transit tower will be completed. The new skyline will look soooo amazing.

  • watch the bridge lights turn on at 0:49

  • Nice video. I like how long the time lapse is. Instead of going by real fast like some, it slowly progresses into sunset and twilight. The only thing I don't like is how "One Rincon Hill" is obscured from view by the Bay Bridge towers, but it's almost impossible to get a better vantage point.

  • @SkylineToTheSeaAndMe thanks so much! i was in here for more than 1 hour.

    Date: July 2 2010

    Time: 8:25pm to 9:25pm

i know what you mean that I can't shoot it with out the "One Rincon Hill" the other good point of view is go down to the left side. however, it needs someone drop you off to , you can't walk to that far from T.I.

  • Very nice! How were you able to get into position to take these shots? I've scoped out the area, and there are no easy ways to "hike" to the best vantage spots. I'm almost considering having someone drop me off on the road so I'm not run over trying to reach these same spots.

  • @viewbytwo thanks so much of your compliments! I went to this spot to take the cityscape photos but they blocked this location. no one can access in here, you will get fine. the other spot will need to drop off which not easy. have you try to shoot it from T.I.?

  • the most beautiful city in the world

  • @nkraus23 - Agreed.

  • hah I love how at 1:11 that little boat goes to cross the bay and then quickly turns out of the path of that bigger boat :)

  • time loop

  • How did you do this?

  • thats amazing, the song is great for this, how often did it take a frame?

  • nice song

  • very nice!!!! ^__^

  • 0:24 - 0:29 the little engine that couldnt LOL *turns around* "f that"

  • sick!

  • *points at bay bridge* This is probably the hardest guitar hero song ever

  • great video.I'm looking for a hd camera to do this sort of thing.budget of around £450.any recomendations?

  • Love it! Song name:)?

  • @Allanwang88 i do not recall the name of this song. it was from you tube that you can mix the video with the music ..

  • how long did it take to shoot this, and what month? It's great!

  • how long did it take to shoot this?

  • @markrpope3 thanks :-)

it was from last year. something new for me to try at that time.

    Date: July 2 2010

    Time: 8:25pm to 9:25pm

  • love it! thanks for posting :)

  • Best city in America.

  • Nice job! Are these bracketed HDR shots? That is a lot of stills. Curious if anyone knows how to correct for slight camera shake. I've been doing some of these in NYC atop our building and the wind is howling, thus some slight jitter.

    Nice work!

  • What a great video! I bet you had an awful lot of pictures...

  • looks fantastic. Did you set it for auto exposure and let the camera do its thing automatically? If so, what exposure setting? I love the glow from the lights. Was it really high dynamic range processing or just how it turned out because of long exposures?

  • @mspicela thanks so much! i take these photos in auto exposure mode. i remember the exposure was about 30 seconds per shot at the end of the last 20 minutes . it was fun to do the time lapse but these are very time intensive work. hours to work on it with thousand shots :) I am glad you like it!!!

  • :D haha those boats are fast

  • Ahhh. I use to live on this island back in the early 90s. The light from Alcatraz's light house would always shine through my window late at night and sometimes wake me up.

There's also a better view at the top of the island with an old abandoned watchtower/officer's bar that would give you a 360 view of the bay.

  • very nice, this looks like it's high dynamic range, that's a lot of photo's you had to process. Neat!

  • I <3 my city

  • ossom and cool from a frind en Denmark :-)

  • ossom

  • hey thanks for this!

  • Very cool! Thanks for sharing!

  • Beautiful!! Was just there and miss it already.

  • thank you! I was shooting every one second interval of during the shoot. but it took about 2 to 3 seconds per shot after 8:20 when it was dark.

  • nice! what was your interval? worked great.

  • Thank you for sharing such a pretty video
