Nice video. I like how long the time lapse is. Instead of going by real fast like some, it slowly progresses into sunset and twilight. The only thing I don't like is how "One Rincon Hill" is obscured from view by the Bay Bridge towers, but it's almost impossible to get a better vantage point.
i know what you mean that I can't shoot it with out the "One Rincon Hill" the other good point of view is go down to the left side. however, it needs someone drop you off to , you can't walk to that far from T.I.
Very nice! How were you able to get into position to take these shots? I've scoped out the area, and there are no easy ways to "hike" to the best vantage spots. I'm almost considering having someone drop me off on the road so I'm not run over trying to reach these same spots.
@viewbytwo thanks so much of your compliments! I went to this spot to take the cityscape photos but they blocked this location. no one can access in here, you will get fine. the other spot will need to drop off which not easy. have you try to shoot it from T.I.?
Nice job! Are these bracketed HDR shots? That is a lot of stills. Curious if anyone knows how to correct for slight camera shake. I've been doing some of these in NYC atop our building and the wind is howling, thus some slight jitter.
looks fantastic. Did you set it for auto exposure and let the camera do its thing automatically? If so, what exposure setting? I love the glow from the lights. Was it really high dynamic range processing or just how it turned out because of long exposures?
@mspicela thanks so much! i take these photos in auto exposure mode. i remember the exposure was about 30 seconds per shot at the end of the last 20 minutes . it was fun to do the time lapse but these are very time intensive work. hours to work on it with thousand shots :) I am glad you like it!!!
Ahhh. I use to live on this island back in the early 90s. The light from Alcatraz's light house would always shine through my window late at night and sometimes wake me up.
There's also a better view at the top of the island with an old abandoned watchtower/officer's bar that would give you a 360 view of the bay.
Great first attempt. Do u use Lightroom 2, 3? Just getting into this stuff myself. Good work, D!

Imagine what this would look like 7 years from now when the transbay transit tower will be completed. The new skyline will look soooo amazing.
