@vsusanmoon Well look at the series, its a totally weird and quirky show. Rainn was PERFECT for and in it. Many use to call SFU the "Black Sheep" of the HBO family (series). But its one of the best shows ever made, if not the best. It definitely has the best series finale ever created. Its FLAWLESS!!!

Amazing, disturbing. Couldn't always watch the violent death scenes at the beginning of the episode. I love the soundtrack . It didn't leave me indifferent. My favourite character is David Fisher.

This is my favorite series by far. So so good. Never a show will match it, imo... I have re watched it like 5 times over, each time getting something new from it. I really think that this series helps you learn how to deal with life and death better. Everyone could benefit from watching it. It's a true experience. :)

I like Dexter too, but in my opinion, it lacks the depth of Six Feet Under. Dexter doesn't have as many multi-layered characters as SFU, nor do they have the same number of skilled actors who can pull it off. And it's not just the main cast I am referring to, either. In the time that Dexter has been on the air, there are few memorable secondary characters that SFU has. Ruth's sister, Nikolai the florist, Brenda's mom, Claire's first boyfriend, Gabe -- Dexter falls short in that respect.

@jstephenj Wow...its just hard for me to see how you can say that about Dexter....that shows writing is just flawless.////Michael C Hall as Dexter is even more flawless.....its a perfect specimen to what a show should be..the huge difference between the 2. SFU was absolutely done at 5 seasons....there were not many more avenues you could go down with these characters...as with the 5th season of Dexter...its wide fuckin open..they could do 20 fuckin seasons of Dexter and still be amazing

@theenigmajjames The writing in Dexter is top notch and exciting. The acting, however, is a mixed bag in my opinion. While Michael C. Hall is excellent as always, it's clear that he's doing all the heavy work. On Six Feet Under, all the Fishers were pulling their weight. There really wasn't a weak link on the part of Krause, Conroy, Hall and Ambrose.
