  • @ westideas I don't disagree with anything you say, but to my point, sprinting is a strength in Jamaica because Jamaicans value it as a sport. If Bolt were Brazilian he would be playing football/soccer. If he were American he would be playing American football or basketball. Aside from sprinting's popularity, the relative inexpense of the sport and Ja's tropic climate, which helps in year-round training, are other reasons Jamaica has emerged as one of the best sprinting countries.

  • decathletes are good at a lot of events but not usually exceptional in a single one. Except for Dan O'brien people take up decathlon when they cannot compete at one even well enough.

  • i was there today it was pretty awsome

  • Idk what all the talk about distance is down there , but yeah that shit is boring as fuck

  • wtf who cares about sprinting events??? a race is not 10 freaking secs thats a weak race.. while the 1600 for example, 4 laps of hard running thats a race. i mean sprinting is awesome to watch but its no race.. but distance isnt boring takes TALENT.

  • WHO CARES ABOUT DISTANCE RACES?

  • @Sealeyfame22 i know, they're boring as fuck. Whenever people come to track meets of mine they complain about how long and boring they are and it's only because of the distances races...

  • wOAH looks more like 4 seconds

  • Im not going to say he will take down the records but I would love to watch him run the 400 and long jump.

  • I honestly think bolt should attempt the 400m WR. I'm sure he could do it.

  • they(jamaica) were about half a metre behind at the final change. lol.

  • video mek mi feel like di time mi mix whiterum wid stone gingerwine wid red label wid redbull wid di ole jb wid di spur wid di..........

  • @MrWakethesheeple Because you wont fucking leave the nigga alone we fucking know he's the fastest

  • 100m WR Holder is fastest man because the 100m is the event in which the highest velocities are achieved

  • i was there!!! so many jamaincans were there too lol!

  • hey u mr. phiyukyu go fuck urself, jamaica has the fastest man in the world n thats all that matters. its people like u ben laden should plan a terror attack for u lil pussy..

  • @petajuan Wow, what a well thought out, mature answer. Oh, and to reply to your calling him the fastest ma in the world, why the 100 or 200? Why not the 400, or the mile? they are harder events, so why does having the fastest hundred make him the fastest man ever?

  • @PhiyukYu Usually, one cannot keep their 100m splits consistently fast while running a 400m. Michael Johnson's average spits for his 400m world record were around 10.7 or so. On the other hand, Bolt's average splits for his 200m world record were 9.6, only .02 seconds off from his 100m world record. It's about top speed. A mile runner maybe fast within his event, but I doubt he could sprint as fast as Bolt.

  • @PhiyukYu think of it this way, he's the fastest man in the world because he has the highest top speed. kinda like the fastest car in the world, the fastest definitely isn't based on distances

  • @PhiyukYu well you dont seem to be a very intelligent person either, ok so yeah the 400 and the 1 mile races are more demanding endurance wise, but being the fastest man alive means you can run at the fastest speeds, where have you seen a mile runner run at the speeds of tyson gay or usain bolt? never

  • @PhiyukYu your serious right

  • @PhiyukYu Are you serious?

  • Camera person had Parkinson lol JK This was great footage anyways. Thanx

  • Blah blah blah about this "its not that good of a time because the anchor has the a huge lead" who gives a shit about the time, look how he blows everyone away with 20 meters

  • That's the average speed of an anchor runner because they get a large head start to reach top speed

Asafa Powell ran a faster time than that in the 2008 Olympics with 8.72 in the relay

You gotta be sub 9 seconds if you aren't the starter because you get a head start after

  • hmm... everyone says jamaicas the new world power in track and field.

WHERE ARE THIER DISTANCE RUNNERS? 400M RUNNERS FOR THAT MATTER? 4X4?4X8? DISTANCE RUNNERS? WEIGHTMEN? JUMPERS? VAULTERS? AND I MIGHT AS WELL THROW IN DECATHALONERS! (you have to be an all around athlete to be a decathaloner, and I what else is usain bolt good at?)

  • @PhiyukYu You make a great point here. Jamaica has had great sprinters, but on the other hand, Bolt is contemplating competing in the long jump. That's a threat to all jumpers everywhere. The next Carl Lewis?

Sorry, I couldn't let this one go...

    It's DECATHLETE, not decathaloner =P

  • @IanPMc oh yeah thats right...oops

  • @PhiyukYu dont get it twisted we rule the sprint aspect of track & field!

  • @PhiyukYu yo chill wit dat i dont know where u got that from, people say jamaica is the sprint factory, not non of those shits you mentioned and wat does weightmen an jumpers etc have to do wit track come on man.

  • @TheGervon I commented and said "track AND field"

  • @PhiyukYu weight lifting is classified as track and field. Jamaica is the world power in the sprint, don't be hating, I bet you are an American. Usain first love is cricket and he is also a good football( soccer player).

    HATER !!!!!

  • @jed1540 Congrad's you're an Official Usain Bolt dick rider.

  • @PhiyukYu dude just shut the fuck up please

  • @PhiyukYu Jamaica is a country with natural born sprinters, they do not have the talent for long distance running. As for the 400m they have Ricardo Chambers and Jermaine Gonzales for exampel. Furthermore, why would Usain Bolt be good at anything else, he is a sprinter not a decathloner. And who gives a fuck about pole vaulting and discus throw, the majority watch the running evens, especially the sprints, which is dominated by Jamaica, I think that is why they say Jamaica is becoming so great.

  • @PhiyukYu who cares?

  • @PhiyukYu jealous much.....

  • @PhiyukYu Ja is the new world power in "sprint", not entire T&F. As for 400m/ 4x4, we have the second best female 400m runner for the last 2 years (Williams). The rest of our female 400m runners are competing for USA (Richards-Ross and Dunn). 400m hurdles we are the best for last 2 years (Walker). On the men's side Gonzalez rank 2nd in 2010 behind Wariner. On da other events we don't have the facility, resources nor much interest. Remember Ja's population is about 1/15th da size of California

  • @westideas Population size has nothing to do with results. If that were the case, China and India would dominate sporting competitions. Jamaicans obviously treasure sprinting (not all of Track & Field), so the majority of the country's elite athletes are going to be funneled into that sport. Jamaica certainly has to be recognized as the best sprinting nation presently, but longivity is the true test of greatness, so if Jamaica can continue dominate well into the future they deserve the WP title

  • @RedGlareMcNasty Population, resources and facilities has the most to do with results, the rest is just rare talent. With Ja's population there isn't enough people or resources to spread around. Most small and poorer countries just pick a decipline and focus on it. Example: Cuba (jumps), Ja (sprints). Ja have proven its longevity over the years (Quarrie, Cameron, Wynt, Ottey etc.) and also we have some of history's fastest men being from Ja e.g D Bailey, L Christie. Also China is a major force.
