  • Just one question.

Was this on a real SNES, SNES9x or ZSNES?

  • @C3po3451 Although I have it for the SNES, I don't have any external capturing device so I resorted to SNES9x and the Mario Paint ROM

  • It looks like someone added then removed interlacing.

  • graphics!

    i dont care bout them!

    this vids awesome!

  • this is really good, stayed with the tempo of the original music, and you got the notes fairly good.

    my grade: 9/10

  • props for doin this on the original game :D

  • This is awesome. Period.

  • sounds like some rihanna ish

  • nistalga!*crys*

  • I accidentally did a bit of this when trying to do an original composition in TuxGuitar. Then I lost my password to Ubuntu...

  • can u pleeeeeeaaassseeee do the sm64 wing cap theme pweeeaasssee *puppy dog eyes* :D

  • 34 people are... 34 people

  • NOO I ACCIDENTLY ERASED FILE A!!! Lucky i have a back up save file in slot D =)))))

  • @DizzyDoucheBag 34 people didn't use to have another save game...

  • dont remind me of that shit nintendo mouse dam 70% of time it dint even work >.<

  • this...is so awesome....i loved that game...even though i was so little...now it's still such an awesome game *hugging his SM64 game*

  • am i drunk?

  • YAY!!!! you used the actual game oin the console instead of some stuuupid emulator exactly what im going to do

  • i came

  • Props to you for using the ACTUAL Mario Paint instead of MPC.

  • I was about to say that bass sounds wrong lol. But then I noticed that you are using the ORIGINAL Mario paint composition program from the actual game, which is pretty damn impressive considering you dont have flats and sharps and limited notes per line and stuff... So great job man :)

  • ha ha this is pretty cool

  • what v is the

  • You could've used mario heads for the flowers.

  • lovely song i love it when i go on the game i spend like 2 mins listening to this

  • Nice. ^_^

  • THIS IS MY THEME SONG

  • it is the quickest way to anyones heart.

  • Awful Quality D:

    Brilliant Song! :D

  • Bloody Jesus this brings back memories.

  • i just like to turn on the game and listen to this. ahhh...so relaxing...

  • I loved that game so much. just throwing this out there about super mario 64 but has anyone else noticed that mario's but kinda falls behind a little? good job on the song by the way

  • 9001 to 1

  • THANKS THIS WHAS GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    D

  • your either really good at playing real music like piano or your just looking up the notes online

  • nostalgia!!!

    xp

  • wo tats kewl

  • Okey Dokey!

  • i can't tell the difference.

  • Such sweet memories

  • omg this game was so cool. they need to remake Duck Hunt.

  • you gotta appreciate the good mario paint productions that are done on the very first one for SNES. kudos, and godspeed

  • Very first? It's the only one.

  • I meant that there is only 1 mario paint game on SNES, but there are downloadable remakes online that give the composers a lot more options.

  • I know what you meant, and I don't consider them remakes. They're imitations that can't reproduce that SPC (SNES music) vibe, and those options strip away what made Mario Paint music cool.

Anybody could grab sheet music and plug it into a midi composer. The cool thing about Mario Paint is recreating songs and making them sound good despite the restrictions, plus that awesome SPC quality. MPC is a copout, and its popularity is drawing people interested in making MP music away from MP itself.

  • Nice! Also, great job for using the original game too and not the composer program.

  • instead of flowers i tried using boo's

  • "Let's-a go!"

  • Just Epic dude, nice job, 5 stars and 2 apposable thumbs up

  • memories.....

  • FUCKIN A

  • AH THERE ARE 666 ratings!

  • EXTREME RULES!!!

    5/5

  • not bad

  • a bit slow~ but still nice!!!!

  • the thing thats missing from it is the soft sounds in the background.

  • wow thats pretty good :D

i played with this game before on emulator sadly i cuddn't get the rythim going =\

U shud download fruity loops 8 and do it there to i bet u'd learn that studio fast ha!

  • u should switch the flowers 2 something else like double stars maybe

  • Well, in the original version of the file select, there's a pan flute or something, so isn't the flower closer than the star?

  • What about the Mario heads? They're somewhat close.

  • True

  • Graphics can kiss my ass for all I care!

This game is and still is my favorite game in all of time, and I don't care about the graphics and even Super Mario Galaxy's awsomeness can't compare with my childhood memories.

  • @Pikerchu13 i fucken agree with u im 15 i remember me watching my big bro pass this game i love those days of childhood i really agree with you

  • reminds me when i was 4,when i had to wear glasses, when all the good things in the world where just there

    ahhhh nostalgia

  • awesome

  • And it's in the original mario paint, so that makes it better! GREAT JOB!

  • Nicely done... sounds great!

  • Its all coming back!

    Great job.

  • awsome!

  • PERFECT.

  • I didn't hear anything wrong with it, great job!

  • nice nice nice again again !

  • class

  • some light mistakes but overall it was fking nice. 4/5

  • mario paint was alot of fun

  • nice

  • Great! Brings back old memories...

  • Awesome, Thanks for putting this up! Even though this is probably the most minor track in the game, for some reason it is to me one of the most nostalgic songs in SM64

  • Wow, someone that actually uses Mario Paint and not those remakes.

  • those remakes are worth something too, y'know...

  • Yeah I know but it's cooler with mario jumping around lol.

  • lol, that mario paint composer youve seen is just a version of snes mario paints music part remade with some extra features for pc

  • how did u get this

  • Bought it for the SNES back in the SNES days with the Nintendo Mouse.

Eventually went SNESvemulator and found a hard to find ROM of Mario Paint.

  • roms arent hard to find at all, you just gotta know where to look

  • @DVC4011 Why dont you try Super Mario Galaxy's File Select Theme and Wii Sports title theme

  • @pwwnd123 because they're sucking game, Mario 64 is THE videogame.

  • @DVC4011 The rom is all over the internet. How is it hard to find?

  • your first bass note is one step too low, it should be a G not an F

  • The &fmt=18 doesn't work!?

  • I've read somewhere it said it has to have a minimum dimension of 720xSomething when being uploaded to have the "HD fmt=18" option.

Seeing this as one of my oldest works, it's really poor quality.

  • Oh.

  • Cool nice song! good job I give it 4 stars

    Mario Jumping lol

  • kooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • he turned an awesome song into a good song

  • Nice Done (:

  • good job very sweet 5 stars

  • I love this!

  • gawd! awesome! 4.9/5.0!

because some of the bass notes were out of whack, IE the first and any coinciding with it as well as one other, but fantastic composition!

  • dude thats awesome haha

  • well im gonna post a vid response ; )

    (hope you don't mind)

  • hmm i see

ever considered making a repost of this on mario paint composer 2.0 or are you an old school guy? ;)

  • Ha ha yeah I'm more to keeping it old school. However, I don't mind using the Composer programs so I might try to revamp some of the compositions some day. :D

  • doesnt that one part after the duh-na-na-na-na-na (the duh-na-na-na-na-na) go higher not lower pitch you know after the duh-na-na-na-na-na... =p aka the end

anyways its great xpecialy for the origianla mario paint =D

  • Yeah I know what you mean. Sadly, as I mentioned in this video's description, the SNES Mario Paint doesn't allow anything higher than that High G note thus I moved that section down that one octave.

  • that*

  • press theat bomb button XD jokes its pretty good

  • ya you do paint itz just the music part of the game....and the sound reminds me of sim city for snes

  • awsomeness!

  • I love this song.

  • i likey!

  • really sounds like the real one. great job!!!

  • masn i need to start playing my SNES again.... gr8 video!

  • i think its great, but i just dont like the sound of the fire flowers for this song

  • cool^^ sounds nearly like the original

  • awsome sounds just like it except that would sound like it on the snes

  • what?

  • As in it sounds like the original except that it's being played on the SNES?

  • brings me back to the N64 days

  • a little fast, but great job

  • needs more tones going at once:)

  • heh brings a big grin to my face hearing this!

    Thanks man, great job :)

    Hope to see more

  • COOL

  • love it. been so long since i played this. brings me back

  • 5\5! enough said..

  • Man that brings me back. :)I've always liked that song. How long did that take to do?

  • Wow, brings back memories. xD Thanks!

  • That has made my day :)

  • Love it!

  • Cool!

  • Super mario was one of my first games i ever played.

  • lmfao I remember when I first saw sm64, I was like

    "Its beautiful" XD

  • I always wanted SM64 so then i got the DS version lol

  • Thank God the Wii lets you download N64 games. All of the good ones I wanted when I was past 5 or 6 years old were gone. I had to rent those games for the past 6 or 7 years. Now I fianlly own a copy of SM64 :D

  • im so going to dust off my 64 and play this game now

  • nice

  • nice it was like ten years ago i got super mario and nintendo 64 :))

  • Man, this video is such a nostalgia rush.

It takes me back to the days when Super Mario 64 was new, and how it completely revamped platform gaming.

    Don't ever change, Nintendo. <3

  • Sadly, they changed. I wpuld've bought a Wii if the controller was useful. Sure, its innovative, but it takes away from all my favourite game styles such as platformers, adventure games and FPS. Ah, the good days of LoZ OoT, Super mario 64, Diddy kong racing and Banjo Kazooie/Tooie.

The only reason I bought an xbox was when I heard Rareware was bought by Microsoft.

  • Yeah, well, if the trailers are any indication, the new Banjo Kazooie is pretty much disregarding the core gameplay elements that it's so well known for.

Pretty much the entire game, as far as they've shown us, seems to be played almost entirely in vehicles.

  • This Brings back memeries

  • epic win.

  • goo job and all, and not trying to be rude but whats with the quality, old tv maybe?

  • people dont use the SNES version anymore for making these videos, since they are hard to find. Look up "mario paint download" on google. There is a version of this (for free download), for windows, mac and linux.

  • I use an emulator so that the quality of the video would be better than of the television. However I'm assuming I used the wrong codec so now my video's a blur. However, I do still have my SNES, Mario Paint cartridge, mouse, AND mousepad just collecting dust in my shelf. Makes we want to play it on the SNES again...

  • i like it better on 64 but this is pretty good i liked it 5/5

  • AWESOME!

It sounds really awesome on Mario Paint.

  • amazing!mario songs rules!also nice job dude

  • yay I <3 this song! 5'd

  • i really like this^^ good job!

  • Finally, a music video made with the original Mario Paint rather than the free composer thingy.

  • PERFECT!

  • ahh...it brings back memories :P good job :D

  • good but you should slow it domn abit
