  • Thank you for this video; there are many businesses that should have their customer service people watch this!! Common sense has gone out the window and you did a very good explaining how and why you should answer a business phone the way you have!

  • One point I would add is that if you are answering a business phone line, you should ALWAYS say the name of the company. As part of my job I have to call many small companies, often 1-person operations, and when the just answer "hello" I often wonder if I dialed incorrectly, and I have to ask "is this company X?"

  • excellent advice also bear in mind that when you smile you relax certain muscles allowing you to sound better. many good call centers teach their employees this.

  • Well, it's good advice, except for the HELLO at the end part. The HELLO should come at the beginning. If it comes at the end, it seems rude.
