For your information, the weapon that the officer had uses rubber pellets and can utilize rubber foam (depending on the situation at hand)...they are used in just these situations...the protester was not shot with penetrating ballistics....she suffered no life threatening injuries...she was not complying with the given orders to disperse and subsequently after treatment she was arrested with a group of others for disobeying a lawful order...cheers!!

Second, I've tried for more than a week to find the video on youtube that was played on the news and can't. Help me search for it. It was, I THINK, a CBC clip that I saw aired on ABC News in the US.

@DJKafaz And just FYI so no one gets the wrong idea. Shooting unarmed protesters at point-blank range with "non-lethal" rounds is, in itself, potentially lethal. I wouldn't condone it. The issue I have here is that's not what happened in this video. The officer was not aiming at the woman and it's clear even in this video that he fired around her at protesters (or a specific protester) who was throwing objects at police. I continue to search for the other angle of this incident.

For your information, the weapon that the officer had uses rubber pellets and can utilize rubber foam (depending on the situation at hand)...they are used in just these situations...the protester was not shot with penetrating ballistics....she suffered no life threatening injuries...she was not complying with the given orders to disperse and subsequently after treatment she was arrested with a group of others for disobeying a lawful order...cheers!!

@tarrker Consider that there's much of the footage that wasn't seen, a :15 second excerpt does nothing to the totality of what had happened in this particular event.
There was a general and specific order given for the crowds to disperse after that point what may be used is what is called substantial & effective "use of force" necessary for crowd dispersal.
Unfortunately there are people who have a "knee-jerk" response when seeing such footage & not employing good critical thinking
