@vitoduval In his day, funding a "liberate and then occupy program" would have been a lot less expensive - they still used horses in combat instead of armored tanks at $1,000,000 each let alone what it cost for those precision bombing weapons that end up killing little children and their mothers,,,,,not to mention deaths by "friendly fire" - the way it is now, more defense money = more dead people.
