Honestly, the first twenty seconds or so are VERY pitchy, but after that little bit, WOW. David Cook is just amazing.

Funny thing is, this is one of my least favorite performances of his, but one of my favorite studio versions. But then again, I don't think the theme 'inspirational songs' really benefits anyone on Idol.  It just becomes a ballad-palooza.

What difference does it make if the band is Canadian or not? American Idol had music of Andrew Lloyd Webber as the theme one week and Webber is British. Good music is good music. Who cares where the writers and composers are from?

And this performance is one of my favorites...I have heard the original from OLP. I think David did just as good of a job on this song as Raine does. I actually like David's better.

he started too low. it's cause on the original, the first verse is low, and the second verse is where he started singing afterwards. he couldn't quite reach the high notes, and the chorus was too high.

but guess what?
