I remember playing a Panther,I was raging cause' I was failingat getting kills,then I got the Blitzkrieg Uprgrade and my kills skyrocketed from 3 to 12 :D

@3:11, you could have survived the encounter EmpireErwinRommel if you retreated your tank with front armour facing the front by clicking behind the tank very closely. It works like wonder and also you might kill the m18 hellcat. Then you can go and fix your tank up. Don't fight a losing war when you can come back for another day.

I've been looking for a good WWII RTS for awhile, this vid convinced me to get COH.

For a strategy it's OK. For a RTS, it's excellent. There's a few nigglies that should be addressed. I'd like to be able to tow around mechanical weapons emplacements with a halftrack, for example.

I never even thought of that, it's a good point. I do think the ability to loot heavy weapons is pretty awesome though

Yeah, it would be nice if you could limber and unlimber the Flaks for towing and installation purposes. As it stands now, if you want to free up your population when the battle lines shift, you have to friendly fire them to death.

There have been other WW2 RTS's with this feature, but none of them seem to have been as smooth of an experience as CoH.

...because that's what the Nazis did whenever they had to move an expensive artillery/AA platform: destroy it and build another one 50 yards away.

Seriously, being able to tow AT (with the exception of embedded British stuff) with halftracks would add much more utility to the game. If you wanted to balance it, give it a fuel cost to move and, at least, a truncated setup time once you found the spot you want.

Here's what you could do:

a) attach platform to halftrack

b) load engineers (et al) onto halftrack (or make them walk)

c) upon moving you spend x amount of fuel. no more fuel is spent until the piece is set up again

d) find a good spot and detach

e) have your engineers (et al) reseat your fixed artillery; limit setup spot to captured territories

If your engineers are killed, enemy engineers could finish setting the piece up and use it themselves.

Man-pushed could be towed at no cost.
