  • I LOVE DOUBLE DARE THANK YOU FOR THE UPLOAD! THE MOST FAVORITE I LOVE IS THE OBSTIACL COURSE FAVORITE PART :)

  • when that girl is smearing marc with slime, why does it look sexual to me?

  • I think your a plant,and i dont like you.

  • My favorite was either the win on the typewriter, or the win on fancy footwork, the sundae slide win was good, but a production error.

  • @7:04 Marc was a little TOO excited there I think.

  • @sundaeslide87 do you have actual episodes containing these moments? like with ROBIN?

  • Double Dare ended by this point, right?

  • You know its the nineties nick shows when they called slime Gak

  • This was the best show ever! I remember how my sister and I would recreate the obstacle course in our home! We didn't have any slim; however, we did have plenty of crap around the house and construction paper to make flags!

  • 3:05 will never forget

  • 3:26 what's that all about?

  • Marc's cackle after Harvey pured the orange stuff on him!!!

  • 2:57-3:40 and at 9:00 wow! For a guy with OCD.

  • these shows need to come back: Double Dare, Guts, etc.

  • Like the Nostalgia Critic said its incredible that Mark Summers had OCD for things being neat and orderly

  • @oosaf I know of no better man who deserves the "Dude, You've Got Balls" award more than him.

  • does anyone else notice how summers seemingly misses getting slimed?

  • @lerdalparker23 sometimes it was , & I think they should have given them at least 90 seconds instead of 60 seconds, but then on funhouse they got 2 minutes

  • Marc Summers is the food network guy right?

  • @SpagettieyXD The Unwrapped show Host.

  • I just gotta say, I'm upset that there are no DVDs or the fact that I didn't tape some of these shows. Man, I used to watch this and I couldn't wait to see what obstacles were gonna be on the obstacle course. I used to try making some in my backyard as a kid, but they mostly sucked haha

  • This show was awesome!!

  • Watching this reminds me just how insanely crazy and awesome this show was.

  • What Episodes of Family Double Dare was Marc Threw in the Sundae at 4:06 to 4:14?

  • oh yeah and at 9:05 KILIMANJARO lol

  • 6:01 velcro owes them like 10 grand for the car they didnt win

  • my god if you hate this show, you're nuts.

  • 3:17. How did they get the slime geyser inside?

  • @RetroVideoFan That's not the real geyser. It was a scaled version.

  • @PriceRight89 Oh, so that explains it. Thanks for the update

  • 3:13-4:13.....always what I wanted...lmao....that's just how great a job on this game was. One of my fondest memories. :)

  • I had this video for a while. There was an unbelievable finish there at the obstacle course on Fancy Footwork with 2 seconds left. Probably the best finish on the course I've ever seen.

  • UNBELIEVABLE!! lmao

  • Their faces freak me out....@_______@

  • At 6:11, I know after that happened, Marc made a point to tell the contestants that they needed to sit on the tricycle and ride it through the brick wall to negotiate the obstacle instead of what that person did.

  • UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!

  • it doesnt matter what we do we're all going to get slimmed even obama.

  • double dare lives forever. summers was a kick ass host. all i can say about double dare in the great words of capt lou- "often immitated, but never duplicated."

  • i went to the studios when i was in 5th grade all of the slimes then were made from food stuffs

  • poor guy at 6:01...so close

  • OMG so sad @ 6:01

  • 7:05

    Closest Finish in DD History.

  • And more exciting that it was for the car. The first 1-second-remaining course wasn't quite as exciting as it was only for a vacation.

  • If there was a top 20. That should be at #1on greatest obstacle courses of all time.

  • I think 6:20 was closer actually.

  • 4:06-4:14, the red AND blue team take on marc!

  • I think that the slime is the messiest liquid on double dare, and the nickolodeon hotel.

  • 9:00 -9:19 Marc Summers will always be known as the greatest gameshow host ever on Nickelodeon and Double Dare! He will never be fogetten in Nickelodeon.

  • Youch... don't get shocked @ 3:08....

  • 2:23 Go Marc!

  • Marc was getting covered in PB&Jelly. LOL

  • and to think he had OCD...poor guy

  • at 2:03 mark is like pulling her off the thing and i think that is why she slips

  • lol @ the lucky family at 6:30

The clocked stopped at 11 seconds left an gave them the extra time to win it.

  • Yep, slip of the clock costs a car. Actually, that was taped the same day as a team got $1050 with the three-digit scoreboards. You can usually tell episodes are taped together when they have the same obstacle course obstacles, but the starting order is just switched around.

  • "And sooner or later I'm sure this place will be covered in slime once again" Looks like Nickelodeon were already preparing for Double Dare 2000.

  • Too bad DD2000 sucked.

  • Actually, that time around 3:08 when Marc gets thrown in the lake was a last-second win at the buzzer as well. Kid dived in with 1 second, grabbed the flag, won the car.

  • That clip is actually on part one at the 5:30 mark.

  • Yep, it was the Moonwalk obstacle. Everyone forgets about that course run, but it was awesome.

  • omg i remember this!

  • Marc was such a good sport on this messy show despite him being obsessive compulsive, and having it as bad as he did. He has my respect ^_^.

  • same here, i dont think dd would have been as successful if he didnt host the show. he didnt know he had ocd until around 1995 or 1996 way after dd was cancelled.

  • 9:01 - Poor Marc! He looks like he could just die...

  • notice at 6:34 the clock freezes at 11 seconds for 4 seconds lol

  • I was just gonna say that. The music ended well before the time expired.

  • So THAT'S why the music ended near the last second. Good thinking.

  • And the car that day was worth about $14,000. Looks like the dude on the button lost a year's salary to pay for that one.

  • Clock error in their favor!

  • @Codecontroller lol thought something was weird when the music ran outt with 2 seconds left

  • @Codecontroller Wow....makes you wonder if that wasn't staged somehow to make it more exciting.

  • In response to PriceRights comment, that did cost them some time but there were some mistakes on the final obstacle.

The dad for a split second looked at the camera which could have given him a chance to grab the flag again.

Also, he dove through the first part of the final obstacle too far and they could have added another shot at the flag.

Best run has to be Wilbur diving through Fancy Footwork with two seconds remaining.

  • (9:09) poor marc lol

  • the finish with time's running out as obstacle 7 and the foot one as 8 was most suspenseful imo...i never saw any of these eps, so a lot of these obstacles are more challenging in relation to the ones used earlier on...

  • If u have more DD clips,PLEASE post them.

  • 6:07-6:20,6:28-6:47 & 6:50-7:05 made my heart stop too. They were the BEST finishes.

  • 6:50 - 7:05 was the greatest finish ever

  • No wait it was around 6:21 that made my heart stop

  • Where are all the 1987 Double Dare clips? Disappeared??

  • Not sloppy enough.

  • i was thinking the same thing...most of the double dare eps i remember were from 1986 and 87...(i'd never seen the alligator pit, the pool with the boat, or most of the other obstacles shown here..)

  • Anyone got the mp3 cue of the music in the background known where i can find it? Plus... the DD2K Obstacle Course Theme?

  • 6:18

See that piece flying off the prop? he broke'd it, but THEY WON!!! YEAAEYEYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This video is good, but why didn't it have any Super Sloppy obstacle courses?

  • short :(

  • WHOA that girl took a fall in the begining!!!

LOVE THIS HOW!! So many memories=)

  • Ha...u can still see Mark Summers old ass on "Good Eats" on the food network! LOL

  • i hate marc summers with a vengence but lets ask him which nick he likes better old or new

  • give the host an award he had ocd and did this messy show

  • watch noggin n u can get a glimpse of the old nick

  • 9:00 = Balls.

  • Oh man, I remember watching this and yelling my head off when the people ran slowly on the obstacle course XD

  • omg. i remember this show! the best show to ever hit television at that time. damn, where do they still show this? or does it even show at all anymore?

  • It doesn't show anymore.

  • @6:01... I disagree with the ruling. He had the flag in his hand before the clock hit zero -- he just didn't pull it off where it was attached. The producers probably deliberately planned for it to (literally) slip through the contestant's fingers.

I wonder if the rules said the flag actually had to be *detached* to count. I would have said "give 'em the car anyway!"

  • I agree. I would have given it to them

  • Actually, on that course run, the sixth obstacle "Test Your Strength" malfunctioned so Marc had to tell the team to move on. If you gave back the time lost while that happened, they could have won the car.

  • I think I only saw it actually work once (which ironically was the episode taped that same day, guessing by the obstacles that they're the same and just in a different order); it usually took long, so I don't think they would have won either way.

  • Around the 9:00 mark, it's absolutely amazing to watch Marc's OCD pop up for just a moment in a "Oh God, why have you forsaken me?" sense.

  • It really is. His head drops so quick... It's the only time in the show's 8-year run (or even after that) that I can see any kind of adverse reaction to the slop.

  • I liked it when Marc dropped an orange on Harvey's head and then Harvey spilled the juice on Marc. This show was awesome.

  • At 6:34-6:38, notice the clock seems to be frozen at 11 seconds for like three seconds before resuming! I always thought there was something weird about that course run when the music ended prematurely.

  • I noticed that too, if the clock would have ran properly, then that team wouldn't have won.

  • Marc has commonly said the music is synced to the clock. A clock error costs Nickelodeon about $13,000, since that was when FDD offered cars.

  • You're very right. I think whoever was controlling it thought that "Bats In The Belfrey" was Obstacle 8 ... but they were so far into the course that resetting it just wasn't worth it.

  • Resetting wasn't worth about $14,000?

  • It's probably written into the rules. Think about it, they'd have to re-mix all of the slime, re-hide all of the flags, re-set all of the cords, shower the contestants, and then take the time and tape to re-do the entire course. Besides, it's considered unethical to alter the results of a game show, so all official calls from the judges are probably considered final.

  • 3:00, LMAO! XD

  • I love when the clock reaches to the end and they finish the entire course when the clock hits 0 that's my favorite part of the entire show!

  • aww i miss this show

this is one of the bestshows of nickelodeon

alot of the stuff they have now is crappy

i wish it was more like this :/

  • correction, everything about nickelodeon sucks now.) (and to be honest, not just the shows, the messages that they r sending r an absolute disgrace, (first jamie lynn spears, and look what happened with chris brown, (the idiot beat up his girlfriend, was nominated 4 2 kids choice awards, and they did NOT take his name off the ballots, which they should've done the moment the story made the news.)

  • Poor Marc,

  • THEY DID IT! UNBELIEVABLE!

Those close finishes were the best. Marc would be screaming his head off as well as I.

  • Marc Summers was hilarious when someone won it all. "YEAH THEY DID IT!! THEY DID IT!! UNBELIEVABLE!!"

  • When they were really close and they won, you would know in my old hometown.....

There would be a 2-story yellow sided house on East Market St in Mt Carroll IL bouncing up and down.

  • Awesome!! Thanks so much for uploading!!
