Hmm... are they deaf? Because if they are, they might not know when to stop "play fighting". Otherwise, I don't have any experience in the situation they're actually aggressive towards each other. You should find some ferret pet owner forum or something and ask people more experienced.
Oh! Sometimes when they play and one pins down another, the one underneath will make a slight hissing noise to let the other ferret know to back off. It's a ferret thing :P
i have 4 questions... my parents won't let me get a ferret b/c they think they smell... are they that bad? is cleaning their cage an everyday job? and other than the cost of the ferrt(s) themselves, are they expensive? and last, if i got a ferret would it need another one to keep it company?
My mom's ferrets didn't stink that bad, she cleaned out their litter box maybe once every 3 days although in the summer she cleaned it more frequently because of the heat. They made lots of accidents though outside their litter box D: They have this kind of musky smell to them, but it's not a bad smell at all. And I don't think they're expensive. After the initial cage which can cost a lot, its basically just a bag of food and a bag of litter once in a while.
And you don't need to get another one necessarily, but another ferret would help them so that they don't get lonely if you're unable to spend a lot of time with it I think. Also more ferrets just make it more fun :P
You put a huge smile on my face! I had one for nine years,Harley. I,too, had one named Cinnamon and another called Hershey. All have since passed. For the past several years, I was so heart-broken that I would not get another one. You have reminded me that I NEED them! Thank you!
I do have a ferret and she isn´t so wild as yours. Maybe because she´s a girl. Looks like a small area for three ferrets. You can teach them where to poop and pee, they are smart pets
They're not fighting, their playing - it clearly states that in the title. I'm assuming you've never had a ferret as a pet before. That's how ferrets play, silly.
Besides, I wasn't allowed to let them out of that area because they like to poop and pee in every corner they find if we're not careful, and there are tons of little hiding spots in our house. It's not necessarily fun to find 'hidden treasure' when you're move furniture around.
Plus, you know how freaking hard a ferret is to catch? They can be speedy little buggers when they want to be. It's also hard to get them from under the couch when you can't stick your arm under it since it's so low. And one of them likes to bite, and so even if you could, fishing for them isn't any fun at all either.
So no, this is hardly cruel at all. Far from it actually.
Ferrets are naturally wild, I've have about 8 so far...They fight just like anything, but they won't hurt eachother. If they do hurt eachother you can hear them make noises and you know when to split them up.
most annoying music ever couldn't get through the first minute..

lol, hidden treasure...my parents dog tries to
hide in the mornings when they go to put him o
utside, sometimes when he succeeds they'll fin
