This is the best Crowded House song ever. Kudos to Eddie for recognizing this good tune, however, CH does it better. Eddie sounds too dark.

Although I do like him in other inceptions, but the tone of his voice does not carry the joy this song needs...sometimes a cover version is hip & cooler....but this is way to laid back...& his voice is .....not suited to this sone..sorry Eddie cause I love ya!

This was the best song Crowded House ever wrote. Eddie did a very respectable job covering it. I give him the nod for recognizing an awesome song.

Exactly. Vedder also did a very commendable cover (with Neil Finn on backup vocals no less) of the BEST Split Enz song ever , "Take A Walk." Vedder knows the great stuff when he hears it.

I'm more impressed with Eddie Vedder every time he pulls off something like this -- he's one of the most versatile guys in rock today. Ever hear him sing 'Love, Reign O'er Me'? The man is brilliant!

Why, thanks. Good to know that this ol' f*rt still knows a good musician when I see one. I think Eddie respects the folks who came before him and adds his own unique (overused but in his case accurate) touch to the music, and so, with his own incredible writing, has become his own legend and his own man. It's good to see after all the boring dittoheads out there.

Yeah, this is Eddie Vedder singing alright, but Pearl Jam is not the band behind him. It's a lineup Neil Finn put together for some shows in Auckland several years back.
