@jd666ify man i was thinking the same thing then i scrolled down and saw your comment lol its prolly really a hard thing to teach em but it looks fucking funny as all fuck....
Vizsla was my first and (now) second dog and I couldn't ask for a better dog. That first one was really special...constant companion for 11 years till he passed. Never did hunt with him but he was a great trail dog for mountain biking. Sticks close and was so fast he would kick sand up into my face when riding. Smart too-knew all the shortcuts in the trails, would cut across and wait for me to catch up. Miss that dog. Your dogs are awesome btw.
Vizslas are amazing dogs, we have a 5 month old bitch called Georgia and she has brought so much joy into our lives. Its wonderful to see these two together, they truly are bred to hunt and are almost cat like in their stalking. I some times catch Georgia pointing and stalking birds when we are out for a walk, she's never been taught it but its just in her blood I guess. :)
Had a Visla years ago. A NATURAL. Started pointing as soon as he could walk! Took him out to pheasant hunts early to get him used to the guns...there was no need. We let him out and he took to it immediately. All instinct. My now X flushed a pheasant that landed in a tree. Our 6 month old Visla stood on his HIND LEGS pointing UP into the tree!! I got it on video but my BF got the dog and the video when we split.
Wow, never seen dogs this disciplined before ! They are most intelligent ! Love vizslas, of course I'm Hungarian too, born and raised there. Beautiful dogs, you did a great job rasing them and teaching them !
haha i love how theyre competitive in the way they working together. its fun watching the ones who are behind try and catch up just shows how instictive they are and how all they want to do is be a part of the hunt...great dogs
Always had Labradors. Looked into GSP. but glad I chose a Vizsla.
Love my first vizsla 2 in april. Tucker lives to hunt. Had a great pheasant season last year. Looking forward to this year. Hope to hunt an amature trial. Tucker is my best buddy. with me all the time around the farm. Looking for a good female. would love to raise a litter of good pups.
@2redgirls hi i was just wondering do they hunt better inpairs? because mine seems to point then doesnt bother really? she has got 2 rabbits which she hunted quite well
My favorite dog, but with the amount of inter-breeding in the US, I'm surprised there is a market for them. Hip-dysplasia, cleft palate's occur frequently, yet when questioned the breeder's smile and ignore.
Gorgeous dogs. How did you teach them to point? I used to have one while I was growing up that knew how but my eleven month old vizsla doesn't. I'm not quite sure how to teach her.
Wow! Now that is a pointer! Beautiful dogs! We have a 6 month old Weim and he points very well at the barn cats. They only problem is when the cat walks over toward him he freaks out and come to hide between my legs. Smart dog I guess cause that cat would tear him up! He is not going to be a hunting dog as my hubby doesn't have the time to bird hunt but it is amazing to me the instinct they as well as Viszla's have to point at everything small that moves.
This is awesome I was watching this and my husband was like "why is this idiot filming a photograph?" haha I was like this isn't a photograph the dogs are frozen
I am Hungarian and I have my vizsla (brought from a shelter) liying by my side as we watch this video and type these lines :) Beautiful dogs you have there!
I'm going to buy a vizsla but I'm not a hunter, does anybody can tell me if it's a good dog a house family dog as well? will he suffer to not hunt? is him good with other dogs?
they are very friendly, they dont go bananas if you dont go to hunt with them. just let them run at least 1 hour everyday. they are very friendly, they are doing very good with other dogs.easy to live with them.
@principecalaf i had a vizsla and i hunted but it was also a house pet and lived inside (never in a kennel) as long as they have room to run it will be an amazing pet. mine was very good with other dogs and children and pretty much everything. perfect dog all around!!!
i have a vizsla and a german wirehaired pointer and they do this together. they point and then sometimes run around seperate sides of a bush to meet in the middle. great dogs
I'm going pheasant hunting tommorrow , bringing my vizsla for first time. He points at everything grass hoppers draggon flys lol this should be interesting he's an awesome dog , i hope he does well.
Oh my goodness! Those two are amazing! I was biting my nails watching that! They are beautiful!! I've only got one Vizsla (want two, but my wife is happy with one). He'll point like that, but it is so amazing watching two work together like that!
That was awsome! They point beautifully! I've had 3 vizslas over the past 15 years but 2 have past away. We have an 11 year old female still alive. She is very good at pointing but her only (big) problem is that she is gun shy so my dad can"t hunt with her. But we love her anyway!
great video. Just about to get our first vizsla -had GSP's in the past -didn't know vizsla's pointed too - now we can look forward to it. Thanks for sharing this,
ok, that is amazing!! it reminded me of my boy Connor, who will honor a point...until he just can't stand it and runs in the middle, spoiling everyones fun. I love these dogs, they are the best!!!!!!!!
oh thank you everybody for your lovely kind comments.Yes my beautiful red girls are talented. I believe though that most vizslas have innate natural ability - it is in their genes.I certainly have not taught mine ANYTHING. But we are fortunate to live in a birdy part of the world and my young vizslas have always had an older one to teach them. Yes we are lucky. I must take my camera more often.
