There is too much jitter, MidiTimeCode seems to be stable somehow. Except, Live cannot send MTC (but recieve), so you have to run a program or an external device, that provides MTC. Only, but minor, problem is, MTC doesn't not include tempo information, so you have to setup the tempo on the different machines and then start. That is also possible in between, e.g. you change the tempo in the course of a song, we testet it and happened to be successful.
@marcushorndt i got the same, problem, ableton live do not want to be a midi clock slave. same bug since live 6 and nothing happend since that. live 8 got it too
I suspect your problem lies in bad performing Midi drivers of both the APC and the Remote SL and not so much in Live itself.
What happens is that *one* of your Midi drivers overloads likely far below the possible Midi bandwidth and thus drags down *all* other Midi drivers along that way.
So whenever you change an active track or effect too many Midi informations are send out and thus the driver responsible for your Midi Sync signal is affected and cannot provide stable flow of Midi Clock Sync.
probably you are right, but again, the problem was not the same with Live before 7.0.10. You say, it is also a bug, but you can perform with this bug.
Unfortunately not. But we had contact to the support team and hope, that it will be solved within the next update, wich just came out (8.0.5). I have already installed, but have to work with the constellation.
hi,
did you find a solution for this problem yet? we stumbled upon the same problem with our setup... (you got a cool setup btw!)
greetings from vienna (i´d like to hear some of your music)

Well, the actual solution seems to be, using MidiTimeCode and NOT MidiClock.

Turn OF "TRACK" and "REMOTE" under your sync preferences and JUST ENABLE "SYNC"
I've never had this issue.
