I am amazed that Al was never oscar nominated for Scarface and that it took so long!! Well deserved, although i would have said he deserved more but hes got recognition as a good actor which is great.
This movie was absolutely great, and this is coming from someone who is more interested in your all action movie. Chris is way underrated and he did a great job. I only wish he would have gotten better roles when he was this young. As for Al, words just can't describe his performance. Two damn good actors, one damn good movie!
words won't describe how i feel about ur acting and performance but u really are the best actor i've ever seen and i don't think there will be better someday

I think Downey Jr. in Chaplin, Pacino in Scent of a Woman, and Washington in Malcolm X all should have tied for the Best Actor Oscar that year. That would have been a legitimate three way tie and the first three way tie in Oscar history.
It made me soooooo happy when Al Pacino won the Oscar for Scent of a Woman, he's such a talented actor. Should have won Oscars for The Godfather films, Dog Day Afternoon, Scarface, and Serpico.
@Troboughbo As underestimated as he is/was his name is still brought up when people have a conversation on ''Who's the best actor of all time'' #AlPacinoWhoElse
@Troboughbo hey!!!! you forgot devil advocate, carlito way,the recruit, insomnia, the heat....... Al Pacino/de Niro the best actors world have ever seen.
Omg, the tango scene just took my breath away.Swoons. Al was so charming, and he thought he couldn't get a woman. Lies. With those moves, and that charm, and he still looked good. For crying out loud, forget Edward Cullen girls. This is a man. Way better actor too, and that's an understatement.
What the hell are you talkin about, idiot.Everybody knows that you are just some ramdom asshole that is for anti al.Nobody really cares what the hell your writeing about.YOU CAN NOT CHANGE OUR MINDS,DUMBASS!
What the crap you go around saying callin people "Girl scouts",and "Fruit cakes"!?
man, Al Pacino is truly the best.. he is a legend..
This movie is sooo moving.. I was balling my eyes out when the second time round Al Pacino prepares to blow his brains out and his confrontation with Chris O'donell... that was just tooooo emotional 4 me!!!
are you a fucking fucking FUCK RETARD YOUR FUCKER AL PACINO IS ONE OF THE BIGGEST ACTORS OF ALL TIME YOUR MOTHER FUCKER GO HANG YOURSELF IN A TREE FUUUUCK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG i love this movie i watched it last night on tv. and i love it when they play that prank on Mr Trask with the baloon and they say that poem thingy and all the paint goes on his car hahaha lmfao
Al Pacino is a legend how in good fuck do the likes of li lo get into films, fuck if she can do it so can i........forgive me for even puttin their names in the 1 sentence!!!!!!
I cannot believe that Al Pacino won an Oscar for this, over Charlie Chaplin! It's ridiculous. Pacino performance was good, but have you seen Chaplin? Robert Downey Jr's performance was absolutely tremendous. To mimic Charlie Chaplins walk must have been very difficult and to play an old man as well. He deserve more recognition.
There is an unwritten rule in the Academy Awards rule book that says you can't win on your first nomination. Sometimes it happens, but usually the voters don't vote for the rookie. It was Downey's first (and only to date) nomination and I believe Pacino's 3rd or 4th (not including supporting actor). Both great performances but tie goes to the runner and the runner was Pacino.
I would have to disagree, Adrian Brody won an ocsar when he was up against people who got a nomination before-hand when Brody had none. But my point is that they should should have overlooked your rule and done the same to him!
I know about Brody which is why i said "sometimes it happens". there are other actors who won it on their first tries as well but im just saying most of the time that is not the case. Downey will prove that he should have won when he receives another Best Actor nomination; he has yet to do that
His performance in this movie reached collosal levels of brilliance..all this while I used to love Deniro and admire pacino..This movie simply turned that around..Every decade has a performance, this one sure was thee performance of the 90s

I am glad you took the time to say all this. U are after educating me.
And I totally agree with U...both rules were PHENOMENAL...but again, like YOU say, "they weren't going to deny Al Pacino again."
Anyway, if this performance of Al's didn't deserve an Oscar, NONE WOULD!!!
Cheers mate!
