Chrome on windows is faster than explorer and friendly but ¬¬' a lot of incompatibilities then crash then doesn't works properly then reset my PC. I think Explorer 8 is slower than Chrome but solid and stable. HomeWork for google :)

I HATE FIREFOX! I seriously dont know why people thinkk its so good. Just the other day, I opened a new tab, and it froze my comp up and I got a BSOD, and then my comp wouldent boot up, so I had to start in safe mode and it took me a day to fix. It just keeps crashing ALL THE TIME! I now only ever use Internet Explorer. Its better than anything.

I use IE8, Chrome obviously has it's upsides, and I like it, but it also has its downsides, IE8 in just to downsides has more then Chrome, however Chrome seems to have more usability problems that I posted about, and which they simply posted, it is not yet possible to do that, so I switched back to IE8.

Flash crashes more on google chrome, and seems not to on IE8, however, I don't care about it crashing since it's not very hard to get it back up and running, just refresh the page.

FireFox is much better but the problem is making the transition from IE. Text by default displays a lot better on IE7 unless you change your display settings to cleartype via display properties. Then add-ons give FF the look and feel of IE7 with none of the drawbacks. I miss the google button on IE7 though and there doesn't seem to be an add-on for it on FF, but the restore browser setting alone puts it in a class of it's own. In time market share wont be as lopsided =]

I've been using Firefox since May of 2004 and I haven't looked back since. I will admit though, IE7 has really improved since IE6 and I find myself using IE7 every now and then. We're still using IE6 at work because we were told not to update it until the IT dept. could verify it's compatibility with our websites.

Firefox 3 is quite amazing, but the plugin issues have prevented me from updating fully. Firefox 3 doesn't display some phpnuke sites porperly, but I've noticed, neither does safari. To be honest, I loved opera, however The lack of user addons like firefox was a major turnoff. There were only useless widgets.

as of a few days ago M$ removed the Windows Genuine Advantage validation requirement for IE7, so people can download it. Looks like a push for more market share.
