She-Ra , Robotech, Voltron, Jayce & The Wheeled Warriors, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventures, Filmation's Ghostbusters, Fraggle Rock, The Littles, Rainbow Brite, The Smufs, Pink Panther . . they're all on there. It's "Totally Rad." I don't care for the girl cartoons.. but if I'm on the internet or not watching TV I might stream those. Again, just to get them on Netflix's streaming radar so that hopefully they'll get more.
It's almost like there's this huge respect for CITIES OF GOLD nobody says a bad word about it! and that includes me, of all the 80's shows it probably captured my imagination like none of the others
All I can say is that the key thing missing in todays society is "Innocence" in a child. That is the reason you cannot make cartoons like these anymore because children grow up too quick. You can only blame society for this. This is why we are subjected to sponge bob and hannah montana now. Both shows cater for ruined minds.
Great job. Check out my new video, which is a trip back through my favorite Saturday morning cartoons of the 70s and 80s, and the memories they bring to life.
Yeah. Things were SO different back then. So different from today. And since the 80s, many of us were expecting the new generation of cartoons to be influenced in some ways by the things we had from the past two decades. Contrary to our expectations, things have taken a drastic step down. Today's TV shows lack the originality and innovative flair that was the 80s and 90s.
Unfortunately, the cartoon was never finished. It ended before Jayce and his father managed to meet. Which is a shame really because I think the cartoon is awesome lol.
Its a bit like Dungeons and Dragons. They never managed to get back home after entering the Dungeon realm
if you read into jayce history somewhere i forget where but they wanted to make a film where audric at the end would die to the saws of sawboss and jayce would avenge him this carton was genuis
final ep of jayce never happened they wanted to make a film but they not sell enough toys down to crap marketing but michael the creator said he want a fight between audric and sawboss where jayce would see his father die and then avenge him a final climatic fight scene this carton was genuis
That's to discover the cartonns of my childhood. We have all the same in France but titles were quite diferent. for example Jayce was not a weeled warrior but of conqueror of light and the Thundercats were Cosmocats...I didn't than French cartoons could be seen in USA, like the cities of gold or Ulysses 31. Great !
I remember cartoon from the 80's this very ugly little bastart has a really cool sword, It was a fire soward. And the little dude had fangs, he was yellow and his face kind of looked like a Lion.. It was a Midevil cartoon.. Anyone remember what it was called?
i remember the visionaries toys and i remember the wheeled warriors. There was a video game/cartoon where you could play the good guys or bad guys and shoot at the red spots. It was captain something, it was corny, but it was fun.
does anyone remember a childrens tv series late 80's early 90's, it had a sundial in it and insects? the spider was really wise and all the other insects used to go ask her for help. its driving me mad, no one remembers it? n i cant remember what its called!!
The 80's surely was the golden age of cartoons. I think they were a lot more action packed aka "violent" back then too. What are cartoons like nowadays?
Ulysees!! Has been bugging me for years what the name of that cartoon was, and the opening theme song was great. I remember that cartoon being very dark cartoon, especially with all the bodies floating in some sort of sleep state on his ship. Oh, and Wheeled Warriors was another fvorite of mine! That was a great trip down memory lane, Thanks.
thank you sooo much for this vid. i remember all these shows. for years i had a really vague memory of a show with tunnels and sand and a pyramid and couldnt for the life of me remember what it was, neither could my siblings. i just knew i loved it. after watching ur vid. i realised it was 'the mysterious cities of gold' thank you sooo much. its been eating at me for years- now i finally know. ty. :)

they were intending to do a movie so Jayce finally faces Sawboss but that never occured. SHame they dont do cartoons like that anymore
fungboy3 3 years ago 3
Did'nt realise they thought about a movie for this cartoon !
The intro tune has to be one of the best for a cartoon though.
I agree about the cartoons as a lot of them were still hand drawn back then
Some of the TV networks seem to be quite brutal with things like cartoons and scifi genre stuff etc and stop them at the drop of a hat.
