I'm in love with that song! Before that I heard a really terrible version of it, maybe that's the reason why I feel so amazed after yours! Yes, there are mistakes, mostly at the middle part of the song, but the main theme was incredibly well played. I decide if a song is good or bad (to me) by my heartbeatings and while I was listening you playing that (for several times), I felt something shaking inside of me. I rarely feel the same. sight reading, my friend, means that you are reading something for the first time.

it does not mean you are playing with the help of sheets. we call that 'not memorizing the piece.

i hardly believe you can even read sheet music well enough to handle even this song,.

One of the most faithful and beautiful versions on Youtube, even with some mistakes that just study and time with fix. Most of the jerks that leave you here their droppings, I mean their comments, are probably perpetrating some kind of stinky, distorting self-invented versions. Don't get discouraged by them, that's simply no way to treat other fellow, young musicians no matter how little they like their stuff. You're very gifted, congrats!

see? play the easy bits too fast in the first bit and you not only duff the notes but you also forget what the heck the correct notes are. come the second bit, the trickier fingering ... bleagh. better that he had skirted over it all together. actually, better that he buys a metronome, finds the timing that allows his fine technique to be comfortable, gets his fingers round the 2nd part - and gives us an all-round satisfactory rendering.

BS! That is not sight reading. You keep looking at the guitar and playing for 10 seconds at a time. Maybe you're using the music as reference but you're definately not sight reading. Don't make claims that are false. Other than that, it was decent. Try to make the bass notes ring more when you are barring. Also work on string pressure. There were a lot of muted and cut off notes in there.

(2) Nobody looks at the ceiling and remembers whole measures while sight-reading. But, nice job anyway! Yes, Romance de Amor = Spanish Romance = Romance Anonimo. All the same tune, written by X Anonymous (several theories available) around 1900. Pretty definitively NOT composed by either Vicente Gomez or Narciso Yepes, who both have their names on it, to their eternal discredit...
