When I first got her, I used to wax her every time I washed her. So about once or twice a week. Now I only wax about once a month since I built up a pretty good protection base. I can wash her now without waxing it and it will still look like I waxed it. I only continue to wax it so that I can keep that protection on it. If it sees rain (which is rare) the car is dry within minutes since all the water just rolls right off.

oh okay i see...because im about to get the same cadillac in black also and just wanted to know because i dont want to have swirl marks on such a beautiful car...so do you think i should get a wax job on it every time i get it washed to keep the black paint job flawless like yours?

Hard to say, but you can see the results I got from what I did. Some people say that its overkill but I don't think so.

No rub, and no mods...They bolted straight on without problems. This is a STS tho, I don't know how it would be for a CTS.

I got a STS northstar for cruising it's all quit when I drive normal then all the work I have done It's loud and quick when I want it to be. Nice STS

Thanks for the complement...I thought about that, but honestly when I think of Cadillac I think of a luxury car made for cruising. I'm not into my Cadillac out performing another car, I bought it just to cruise in. I got my R1 and soon to be swapped&boosted ek civic hatchback for my speed cravings....thanks again tho.

@dadude0423 its your car, but I think the Northstar is a better motor for cruising as well. I drove one of these STS's with the V6 and I was kind of disappointed, it feels like its straining for the weight of the car. The Northstar just gets u around with ease whether your going 30 or 130.

Thanks , and trust me that she does get babied....I barely drive it. She sleeps in the garage with a car cover on and half the time only gets pulled out to get washed and waxed. Last time I drove her around was about a month ago.

I appreciate your comment. I didn't have to do anything to put these wheels on here, they bolted straight on to the car. As far as slowing the car down, I really do not feel a difference at all in the way the car handles, accelerates, or brakes. I sometimes forget that I even have the wheels on the car when I am driving it, then I get the stares and thumbs up and then I remember of course...lol

i just bought an 06 as well and will be doing a few mods this coming spring.. i love the look of the rims on the car man. very nice job and selection. but im tryin yo decide if i should get 20's or 22's on my ride. any info/recs would be appreciated. thnx!

@rossk07 Thanks for the comment. I like the 22's on this car, the look is perfect and there are no modifications that need to be done.  For me 20's look to small on this car, and the comfort ride is pretty much the same. I rode on these wheels 3 times (all round trips) between Florida and Louisiana. Never had a problem and everything still rides smooth.

Do you mean staggered? No I did not have to stagger them, they are the same all the way around. I could of did it that way, but I wanted to luxury of being able to rotate them when I needed to.
