well yes the game is relying on the console to a large extent as the game runs off the xbox servers, the 'host' of a game has full control they send out the info they recieve the info there controlling the lobby, but notice a game like battlefield NEVER HACKED as it has dedicated servers with no hosts that don not rely on the xbox, the only reason black ops does not get hacked is not because it cant be hakced it is because of the ban system, it doesnt keep ppl out just bans ppl hu r hacking

Now to talk about your question: why developers fix hacks/errors quicker on the Xbox. I think you need to go and try developing a Xbox and PS game. Anyway, Xbox uses XNA so if you update a little bit of code, only that bit gets sent to gamers like 12mb. PS uses there own software development so if you update a wee bit of code, the whole section of the game (i.e. a map) has to be sent to the gamer costing the company £ because it might add up to say 1-2gb! Huge difference12288KB! to 1048576KB!

The responsibly lies with the network of the platform to "get ready"/initiate games! You know when your in a lobby, it's nothing to do with the Activision servers... It's still the PLATFORMS NETWORK. That's how matchmaking works!! When the game starts, it switches to the Activision servers! Thats way there is a loading screen with Awaiting game-state!

On a system like PS3, a game patch is just added data to the game if the game maker chooses to put it there. It's expected to be protected by the security of the firmware which the real hackers attempt to write a way around. Once there's nothing preventing you from accessing the file, you can change it in any way you want. G4H assumes it to be magically patched by a few lines, but even if it could, the lines could just be deleted because the file is fucking open for modification. Idiot.
