You guys, he is simply transferring the movie from one place to another. And 2nd Movie size showing 700MB, which is a complete MOVIE can be. But transferring rate is max 4667kbps (4MB approx.) which is quite normal for copying.

A lot of people get confused with that. What it's showing you is your speed ability locally. Not through the internet. If you were transferring a file on the same network, like in the same house for instance, you can get get up to about 6.75MB a second. It's also showing you MegaBITSpersecond, where data is shown in BYTES. So how you figure that out is 54megaBITSpersecond, divided by 8, equals 6.75megaBYTESpersecond.

It may be a little confusing, but that's the general answer.

Your computer would be able to communicate with other computers or hard drives, Etc... through the router without even touching the outside internet. Your actual internet speed is a lot slower. My network operates at 300MBps, But our internet speed is only a fraction of that. For example, I could Move a movie from my network hard drive to my computer in seconds, but it takes about 5 minutes to download a movie.

@MrPacMan36 fibre optic is what internet is transfered under the ocean, i highly doubt that you could get fibre optic to work, you would need T1, T2, T3 internet then you would have to figure out how to use fibre optic to transfer instead of your normal cable's, even then the speed from the modem and router to your computer will also have to be fibre optic so theres also another problem.

When you need to reach such speeds you have to have a good router and good settings, the only limit I have is that I have a crappy provider my advertised speed is 10mbps, I wish I had 50!
