  • Only time him and Mike get on well is when they're drunk haha!

  • alf garnett is so funny nearly fell off my chair laughing so much !

  • Greetings from "Alfred Tetzlaff" ;)

  • The BBC are too scared to repeat this series because theres a ot of un political correctness in it . It will never be repeated the only place you will ever see this is on here. I thought that tthey wiped the tapes its the fiirst time i have seen this in decades

  • It's such a shame VHS video recorders didn't exist in the 60s as at least then a lot of classic shows like this may have been saved by the public, both ITV and BBC were guilty of wiping and junking so many of these shows and even now they will admit they made big mistakes as these little gems could have been included on dvd sets which in turn would have boosted their sales potential, shame!

  • Filmfan1982 you are my hero, thankyou for uploading full episodes of classics such as this. :)

  • @bekat2k8 They're never on the TV so I thought people would enjoy this :)

  • Year i was born, god i feel old!

  • This can't be the first episode. They are talking about the World cup in Mexico in 1970. I think that the area is North Woolwich.

  • Where about does Alf live? Anyone with a knowledge of that part of London might be able to work it out by the closing clip

  • @Strawberry7Lynn the show was set in Wapping

  • @shansu69 Thanks Shansu, at least I have a better idea now. The camera focuses on a definite house though! Albert and Harold Steptoe used to live at No.1 Oil Drum Lane, Shepard's Bush. Tony Hancock at No.7 Railway Cuttings, Cheam. Fat Slags at No. 1 Shit Street, Fulchester. Eric Sykes & his sister Hattie, somewhere in East Acton.

  • That's a very thin dictionary.

Does Britain really have a Minister of Sport?

  • @kittyprydekissme They did at the time - now it's the responsibility of Jeremy Hunt, the Secretary of State for Culture, Media & Sport.

  • I just dont see how they got "All in the Falimy" out of this~!?

  • @analyzingfunny The series got better later on.

  • @AidanLunn Oh I was referring to how they got the American version out of this. But I watched it again, and now I see.

  • @AidanLunn This is still funny.

  • @analyzingfunny I think the Alf-Archie parallels are pretty obvious from the get go.

  • The human condition. Thanks for your efforts.

  • Alf cracks me up he is so funny

  • EXCELLENT UPLOAD !

  • wonderful stuff! Thank you for sharing.

  • I thought the Beeb had wiped the first few episodes....

  • @Mascherina1964 This is one of the few that still exist. It's an extra on the series 5 DVD set :)

  • @Mascherina1964 The wikipedia entry has a list of all episodes and which ones are missing.
