The S65 is hard to launch (I've driven a couple) without copious wheelspin from a stop - but onwards of 80km/h when you plant it, DAMN! The torque really has an effect bigtime in a roll-on race, most very quick cars would struggle against it on the highway! (from a traffic light, however..)

I'm guessing the s65 is a 9 second car and probably can best a Bugatti veyron at least until 160 mph, cuz if that's really the same slr that gets 10.2 then ... And to the people saying the slr didnt race, u must be on meds or just very naive, the people IN the slr put this video on YouTube and titled it slr vs s65 for a reason ..

Thats very stupid to say... So my buddy was about to race me in my RENNtech S65, we timed the race with 3 honks, with Speedracer38 sitting shotgun with a $3k camera and he didnt want to try?? Really?! Check his side mirror and watch the cars go off in the distance... A supercharged V8 does not make alot of noise, especially over my intakes when they are sucking in that much air...

@jorjem33 Ya the 65 motor is very potent but put a pulley,filters,exhaust, and tune on the SLR and you got yourself a race! Theres a video floating around here of an E55 destroying a tuned S65. Lets just say it was no competition. In essence my E55 has the same motor as the SLR except a different valvetrain and intake manifold. I bet I could beat you. Trust me a supercharged V8 will SCREAM with exhaust. Check out my videos. I beat a 2JZ Lexus, 500whp Cobra, and a V10 R8. Thus far.

@johncy2000 This SLR has almost 100k done at RENNtech... It has more than just a pulley, filer and exhaust. Its got 777 HP and does the 1/4 mile in 10.2 seconds...

@Habufffff A stock S65 is 604 HP and 738 TRQ. Mine has every RENNtech upgrade plus a few other mods. At the crank its between 750-800 and close to 1000 Trq

@Habufffff of course it's tuned, a stock s65 amg can't even come close to a SLR even the new 621 hp, 738 lb/ft TwinTurbo 6.0L v12 s65 amg can't compete with the SLR.
