There's an argument that I hear often, and it always takes a similar form. An example of a man made object Y is given and compared to something that occurs naturally X. Y can be used as a suitable analogy for X, therefore X came about by similar means as Y. I'm having trouble understanding the logic used here. Maybe it's just going over my head. @rockymountainsunrise carbon dating is not accurate. Much of the "evidence out there supporting an old earth is based on pre-suppositions. Have you looked at the evidence for creation? I've looked at the evidence for old earth vs young earth. I used to be an old earther, but the evidence now seems to point to a young earth model. May I suggest a DVD called Dating Fossils and Rocks by Answers in Genesis? You don't want to be wrong about this.
@shutterkat Carbon dating is one of many dating techniques, if used correctly to date organic objects it is accurate. (It is not used to date the earth, as the half life is WAY too short)
There are many different and all independent dating techniques that confirm earths age. When you get your information from a biased source such as "Answers in Genesis" of course they will only present select information out of context.

Evolution is a theory and is defiantly up for debate if you want to ignore all the transitional fossils and observed cases of evolution. However a young earth is strictly a myth, due to that fact a 4.6 billion year old earth is considered a scientific fact. And to try to teach people otherwise is spreading lies, and this is morally and ethically wrong. The word science should not be associate with such myths.

Using fossils to prop up an evolutionary theory is shaky ground. 99% of the fossils found are invertebrates. Incredibly complex, fully formed invertebrates. No "transitionals". So where do those "transitionals" come from? The remaining 1%. In fact, if we took all the bones of skeletal remains it would scarcely fill a single coffin. Regardless, this is where we find all the 'transitionals' - with huge imaginations and lots of plaster of paris.
A young earth isn't a myth. Clearly scientists don't even know the age of the earth because if you take a glimpse at history, their alleged age of the earth has changed exponentially over the years. Their opinion of the age of the earth today has a built in obselescence if you will. So observing little clues that point to a young earth (compared to billions of years) is not out of the question and it is foolish and unscientific to dismiss such an opinion without observation.

I have been to the Creation Museum and find that claims there is more than mere hearsay, but well thought through and is supported with real science. Evolutionists are getting more and more upset because the more science advances in this field, the more sensible the Creation model fits with the evidence. More and more scientists are jumping off the evolution bandwagon as they realize if they follow the evidence, evolution can't possibly be true. There's an argument that I hear often, and it always takes a similar form. An example of a man made object Y is given and compared to something that occurs naturally X. Y can be used as a suitable analogy for X, therefore X came about by similar means as Y. I'm having trouble understanding the logic used here. Maybe it's just going over my head. @rockymountainsunrise carbon dating is not accurate. Much of the "evidence out there supporting an old earth is based on pre-suppositions. Have you looked at the evidence for creation? I've looked at the evidence for old earth vs young earth. I used to be an old earther, but the evidence now seems to point to a young earth model. May I suggest a DVD called Dating Fossils and Rocks by Answers in Genesis? You don't want to be wrong about this.

@shutterkat Carbon dating is one of many dating techniques, if used correctly to date organic objects it is accurate. (It is not used to date the earth, as the half life is WAY too short)
There are many different and all independent dating techniques that confirm earths age. When you get your information from a biased source such as "Answers in Genesis" of course they will only present select information out of context.
I encourage you to do some research from a neutral source...

Evolution is a theory and is defiantly up for debate if you want to ignore all the transitional fossils and observed cases of evolution. However a young earth is strictly a myth, due to that fact a 4.6 billion year old earth is considered a scientific fact. And to try to teach people otherwise is spreading lies, and this is morally and ethically wrong. The word science should not be associate with such myths.

Have you researched the other side of the debate, are just the Darwinian side of the debate? I've studied both and continue to do so. There are no transitional fossils. You need to understand the true nature of what a transitional fossil is before you comment further. Using fossils to prop up an evolutionary theory is shaky ground. 99% of the fossils found are invertebrates. Incredibly complex, fully formed invertebrates. No "transitionals". So where do those "transitionals" come from? The remaining 1%. In fact, if we took all the bones of skeletal remains it would scarcely fill a single coffin. Regardless, this is where we find all the 'transitionals' - with huge imaginations and lots of plaster of paris.

A young earth isn't a myth. Clearly scientists don't even know the age of the earth because if you take a glimpse at history, their alleged age of the earth has changed exponentially over the years. Their opinion of the age of the earth today has a built in obselescence if you will. So observing little clues that point to a young earth (compared to billions of years) is not out of the question and it is foolish and unscientific to dismiss such an opinion without observation.

These videos are outright disinformation. It's irresponsible. No-one cares if you believe in a god or not, just don't argue with science because you don't like what it discovers. No-one ever set out to rain on religions parade, they just wanted to know more about how everything works.

Yes, 'Expelled' was comedy at it's best. They don't get silenced, the community turns their collective back on them. If I publicly claim to be the second coming of Julius Caesar tomorrow, I will recieve similar treatment from my community. Now why is that??? You don't have to be a scientist to be informed, but you DO have to be one if you want to know the full technical details. Evolution continues to stand up to critical scrutiny from qualified scientists. Creationism never has. It is a joke.

Lol! This video was great! I find that with a lot of atheists, the moment they find out that you're a Christian, they attack you and behave like children. I've maintained a cool head, but they just totally freak out at you and they are so distraught they cannot think rationally, and the conversation deteriorates into you listening to them shout and rant and curse at you, point there finger in your face, and the whole time you don't get a chance to talk. They are ANGRY! Even if you are friendly.

God could not have utilized a Darwinian evolution in the process of creation because he would not use evil means (death & suffering) to bring about good ends.
But really, the issue isn't about what God "could have" done but about what he said he did. The Holy Bible (God's book) states what he did in very clear terms.
God is holy. He does not bear false witness. The question is, will you believe what he said.
Please take some time to consider the validity and veracity of the Scriptures.

The Hindu religion is older than the bible says the WORLD is, so I see no reason to trust that book and it's many glaring fallacies and inconsistencies - why grant the judeo-christian God more credibility than any other??? That's the funny thing about religion, it makes people who have no answers feel as if they have ALL the answers. Science is not a god. Flatness of the earth's surface is required by verses like Daniel 4:10-11. In Daniel, the king "saw a tree of great height at the centre of the earth ... reaching with its top to the sky and visible to the earth's farthest bounds." I have more if you want. Nothing to say on the dinosaurs?

Come onnnn, Demonhunter... This, to me, is classic intellectual self-deception. You can't explain it away that easily. A tree at the CENTER of the earth. You don't need to be at the top of a tree to see the horizon, Demonhunter - there's always an horizon. And on a spherical earth, the horizon cannot possibly be the "earth's farthest bounds". Their are only two logical implications as to what is meant here. Both are credibility detractors for the bible.

the vision was about king Nebuchadrezzar. God compare the king to that tree because he was a powerful king and him empire was growing bigger and bigger.
Job 26:10 says "He has placed an enclosing limit (horizon) upon the waters at the boundry between light and darkness."
if the earth was flat then there would b no boundry between light or darkness it would either b dark or light.

as for the earth at the center of universe i dont think the bible says anything like that but if it did there would b no way to disprove it because we dont know where the earth is in comparrison to the whole universe so it could very well b the center of the universe
im not saying that everything revolves around the earth because obviously it doesnt but that doesnt mean its not the center of the universe

I am familiar with the biblical god's ways, I have read the thing. I am at a loss as to how any sane person could find joy in the belief that the creator of the universe sanctions the horrors written in it's pages, not to mention the astonishingly inaccurate information concerning the universe that the very same god supposedly created. I've been asking evolutionists for a long time now how it could be that random genetic mutation were the mechanism of evolution when DNA's support systems have error correction of 3 or more levels. Then I ask them to consider the intelligence behind such an error correction system using algorithms and information (both of which are products ONLY of intelligence).

Slight difference there....Creationists maintain that we are the product of a loving God who wants a family. We deny evolution because all that science has to offer shows us that things *decline* over time (DNA gets worse; NOT better), and that's hardly the same as saying there was no, Darwin-inspired despot who was responsible for the murder of 13 million humans in his pursuit of the "master race". We have TONS of evidence for that. They can rant all they like -- God sees 'em!

How, precisely, is Creationism (It is NOT a science), repeatable, testable and observable? Where is there ANY evidence of a deity OUTSIDE of the Bible? The only science you have is based on distortion, lies and nonsense, and THAT is why people are angry. Yes, Creationism is faith. Evolutionism is also faith. Science is a tool to understand how the world is assembled, and to apply this knowledge to our benefit (hopefully). But it will always be confined within the boundaries of a person's particular view of the world. Faith precedes science, not visa versa. And no: Evolutionism is not "more scientific" than Creationism.
