  • What does this lady have to be depressed about? She doesn't have a latina housekeeper to clean her house so she has to do it all by herself?

  • This drug has helped many people, including me. My Mother suffered from serious anxiety and depression and ended up in an institution for the remainder of her life. I have inherited some of her pre disposition to depression and have found this drug the most effective for me. I live a very normal, happy life. This drug helps me get over the "hump" so to speak.

  • THIS COMMERCIAL IS OF THE DEVIL ! ! ! !

  • Wasn't Pristiq recalled because it was killing people? How did we become such a wimp, drug induced nation? Back in the 80's, if you were depressed, you were told to get your head out of your ass, get a job, and get over it. If you were so bad that you couldn't deal with it, you were sent to a institution.

  • @Iceni77 Wanna talk about back in the old days? Let's talk about my great grandfather who was around when opiates were used to treat depression. My father also has depression. Has a job, his head is not in his ass, and he has a decent life. He just feels extremely sad for no reason. I have depression. There is real depression not caused by life's struggles you know. Telling someone who is depressed to get over it is like telling a blind person to look harder.

  • If you think this is creepy, watch ABILIFY KILLS on YouTube

  • she should keep her eye on that doll. if the wrong person got their hands on it..

  • Creepy doll this commercial should make anyone laugh!

  • Fucking Robot Sheeples..

  • Your annotations are funny

  • my favorite commercial i dont think its creepy its dope lmao

  • Someone tell me is this an emotional appeal ????

  • @isabelify21 Damn straight it is.

  • @NeutralNewt thankss lol

  • Pristiq - - almost as scary as Abilify for depression and bipolar disorder.

    Visit ABILIFY KILLS on YouTube!

  • Will this drug get your wife to listen to you?

  • the company that makes those dolls should sell them along with a service that customizes the head to look like a photo a client could submit. wouldn't that be cool and they would sell like hotcakes.

  • I clearly stated that I took Xanax for my anxiety. both drugs treat psychological disorders with more negative effects than positive.

  • Depression sucks, but you're better off with natural depression over medical depression because drugs like this will fuck you up even more. I never felt depressed until I took Xanax for my anxiety. stay away from this poison. that goes for all pharmaceutical drugs.

There are more natural solutions to help you with your depression.

  • @m2diggs

xanax is not for depression it's for anxiety, its literally just a tranquilizer.

  • As a guy who once suffered from depression, I can say without a doubt, that depression is the worst place on Earth to be. Sad thing nowadays, people laugh at you for being depressed.

  • haha, hilarious. My girlfriend told me that it sounded like we didnt start the fire and I came here to see if anyone else thought so.

  • I only like the song.

  • The song in this makes me so happy.

    It's so cute aawwweee

  • @ 0:45 LOLL

  • Just took my first dose of Pristiq about an hour ago! I feel like throwing up! I would rather hallucinate about wind up dolls dammit! But, this made me laugh so hard I almost peed my pants, so, thank you rendertank!!

  • i took pristiq for a little while.what i did to fight the nausea is take an anti nausea liquid.

  • I love all the side notes you put in the video, they make me chuckle! "Side effects, hallucinating dolls"

  • The side effects are death and the drug sounds like something straight out of Modern Warfare 2! "TIME TO PRISTIQ BITCHES" ILLUMINATI DEPOPULATION DRUGS!!!!

  • people have to quit feeling sorry for themselves. i mean how do you think people from years ago felt? they had things much harder than the modern day people and they're the ones who built this country (i'm talking about the u.s.)

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

  • The doll from the Pristiq commercial told me I should go kill myself is this a normal side effect doctor?

  • This medication is horrible...One thing they fail to tell you in their commercial is a severe and worsening cough with incontenence!!! If you take this medication and have an unexplained cough...consider switching medications!!!!

  • i feel worse after watching this Q Q

  • haha..im so happy i could just die

  • oh no i get sad all the time

  • @Anastasia21ish It tells you absolutely nothing.

  • LOL, the description is perfect, well done! And these commercials are weird as hell.

  • I will say the music is depressing if you are not taking Pristiq yet, this commercial will make you take it.

  • @mapboy78 I actually find the music hopeful. :D

  • Depression is serious and sorry to those who suffer..... but huh...

The comments in this commercial are hilarious. "C'mon kids time for the sacrifice." CLASSIC!

    Dont hate on my opinion!!

  • We didnt start the fire!!!! a slowed down relaxed version :]

  • I once thought that depression was a bunch of psycho babble bs, and that people just needed to get their act together and stop being so moppy all the time. Then one day I realized I was extremely depressed, and had been for a while. It sort of sneaks up on you slowly and you never really notice it until one day you find that you don't wan't to get up out of bed anymore and your life is full of stagnancy and sadness. I have developed hypochondria, and anxiety as well. I am going to see a doc.

  • this commercial has mind control written all over it, & if you cannot see that, than you my friend should go back to bed, because you're sheeping lol

  • what's the music song.

  • just a month ago I never thought i'd need that but now i do

  • 1 min of the commerical was side effects

  • Comment removed

  • Does anybody else think "We didn't start the fire" everytime this commercial comes on?

  • @tipofmytongue1024 HOLY SHIT YES!!!! the reason why i looked this commercial up is to see if anyone thought the same thing lmao, everytime i hear it, it sounds like a slowed down relaxed version of "we didnt start the fire"

  • This commercial makes me so happy. The song is so cute. I love it.

    HAHAHAH

  • "The governments like this, "they don't want you to use YOUR DRUGS, they want you to use THEIR DRUGS"."

    -Chris Rock and Drugs

  • I've been thinking this for a long time. Does anyone know if those dolls are real?

  • @rendertank that is funny when i saw this i was laughing so hard

pristiq is THOUGHT TO WORK!!! im depressed and i thought this was

    pretty funny!!!

  • They need to subscribe the therapist from the Geico commercial. Some people just need to be told to cheer the f+ck up and quit dwelling in thier bubble of victim mentality central. "Maybe we can hop on a train to mamby-pamby ville to find you some self confidence you jackwagon"

  • @drewsky684

u are utterly clueless about depression. it's fucking debilitating for a wide variety of deep rooted reasons. mere willpower is irrelevant. ones willpower during depression is non existent, let alone useful. u literally have nothing inside. nothing to use as a crutch and get yourself going. there is absolutely no interest in anything. no motivation. no positivity. u reach deep down to find it, but u find nothing but eternal negativity and nothingness.

  • @itzahazylife Absolutely. Keep working, and trying, and trying, and trying, it should get better :)

  • These companies own us

  • I don't really see how it's creepy-- and the doll has reddish hair, like the lady does, and also blue eyes, so it fairly resembles her and her struggle with depression; the constant winding herself back up and all.

But I lol'd at the THOUGHT to work by affecting the levels of chemicals in the brain.

I swear, they work on these medications for like a week, don't even bother testing it, and slap a label on it and go "OKAY, READY TO SELL TO PEOPLE EVEN THOUGH WE DONT KNOW WHAT IT DOES."

  • we the sheeple

  • Reality is the number one cause of depression. :(

  • @loneshewolf74 that's a depressing thought :P

  • And of course the woman actor doesn't appear to be suicidal, have high blood pressure or cholesteral, glaucoma, nausea dizziness or sweating as she joyfully has a picnic with her kids and hubby. I on the other hand wish to set myself on fire, and die an agonizing screaming death...

  • Comment removed

  • i was pretty hooked on buying this, until i saw "Need help paying for pristiq?" banner at the end....

  • WE DIDN'T START THE FIRE!

  • I'm like in love with this song and I don't know whyyyy

  • IN THE MORNING! TAKE TWO TO THE HEAD. NO AGENDA! dub dub dub dot no agenda entertainment dott com

  • If you listen close the jingle sounds kinda like We Didn't Start The Fire from Billy Joel....

  • So if you listen close enough to the jingle, you can kinda hear We Didn't Start The Fire by Billy Joel... Its kinda weird, my friend Dan Fort showed it to me..

  • I just want to shake that woman and give her some chocolate!

  • @fireyourtherapist shows how much you know- it doesn't make you high, it levels you out. it brings you from down to normal..not to a high. so don't talk shit unless you know what it's like

  • see - please tell me you are joking dot c o m

  • :53 to :57 WTF??? It looks like shes gonna use it as a vibrator

  • Actually this commercial is really well made and very memorable. The score is amazing and the wind-up doll.... believe it or not... is a fairly realistic interpretation of how depression can make you "feel".... so rather than laugh at it.. I would try to embrace the surrealistic quality of what it was trying to achieve. I find it one of the best commercials to come out in a long while... so your comments are way off the mark. But thanks for the commercial post all the same.

  • @studioboy69

I'd have to agree. when in a deeply depressed state, you can find yourself trying very hard just to emulate how you normally behave, and often times, though i did this alot of the annotations the poster put in the video were pretty funny.

  • I love this music! I got to find out who made this song. I'm going to buy their album. Does anybody know who made this song?

  • They should have made this woman put on chap stick before this commercial. Her lips look like Skeletor.

  • For the record, the music used in this commercial is very well made, but the doll, and the woman's facial expression are kind of funny. A good laugh is good sometimes, but some of the flaws in this commercial give mental illness a negative stigma..

  • what's the backround music called

  • Just go out and say it,THIS MEDICINE IS FOR EMO PEOPLE!!

  • Symptoms may Include cutting of the wrists, black blood, gettting colorful highlights, crying at jokes,Wearing black clothing, suddenly being obsessed with Jack Skelington,And Listening to Bands Like Bullet for my Valentine and brokeNCYDE.

  • I think this music heals depression symptoms better than this mind altering drug

  • Has anyone seen the NEW black wind up doll one yet ?

by the end of the year their will be a spanish ,then asian ,dutch, french, russian, greek,on and on , Pristiq is going GLOBAL HURRAH !! LOL !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @hlywdplayer Lol

Yeah I seen it last night!

    xD

  • Maybe it's your meaningless family life that's making you depressed, not some chemical imbalance.

  • the music is sad lol but addicting, I always notice the T.V. when this commercial is on and I watch it thinking "maybe I'm depressed" they make you think you are because of the advertising lol

  • @rendertank RT I have shared these commercials with my friends and they think they are the most hilarious things ever, so can you please make more based on these stupid medication commercials PLEASE LMAO

  • @rendertank Wow I didn't expect you to make it so fast, but it was hilarious and I have been posting your commercial spoofs all over facebook cracking up! Thank you for brightening my day, and now that I read the description of this commercial I cannot stop laughing for real now!

  • @rendertank All I have to say is THANK YOU for making those hilarious captions to this commercial because you broke me out of my depressed state that I've been in all week! I could not stop laughing when I was reading them...Could you do a video to the Restasis commercial with Dr. Tendler(I think it's the 2009 comercial) LMAO

  • I am trying to find that wind-up doll! Gotta have one!

  • it works for me ^^

  • It's not the *doll* that's creepy... It's that Hannibal Lecter smile on the woman's face (see 0:54). If I were the kids' dad, I would definitely NOT let the kids go give mom a hug when she's smiling like that!

  • Take your Pristiq In The Morning! By bedtime you might want Two To The Head.

  • yes the music and commercial is depressing. If you you aren't depressed now, you will be after looking at this commercial.

  • C'mon kids! It's time for the sacrifice!

    LMAO dude,this video is epic X D

  • WTF!

  • I think that damn doll is ALIVE...I bet it whispers in that woman's ear each night: "KILL your family...."

  • @dreamboynyc2 ha ha ha ha ha funny shit! Creepy ad! Is Pristick poison?

  • This ad is the reason I don't take Pristiq! Effexor is way better!

  • Does anyone else hear the tune "We Didn't Start The Fire" by Billy Joel being played by the piano?

  • Side effects may include: brain leaking out, heart exploding, 50 people died in the clinical study. Don't worry though, ASK your doctor if it's right for you! (sarcasm)

  • I have been making fun of this commercial since it first came out. Ask yourself how the FDA can approve such a dangerous product !!! They don't even know how or why it supposedly works. If you are actually on this pill go wind up your little doll and get out in the world, and off of youtube.....

  • @rendertank ur soo freakin funny i was roflmao

  • @rendertank The music is good, but the wind-up doll and the woman's facial expression are a little funny I must admit. This medication is actually pretty effective though, and has almost been named the first non-hormonal treatment of menopause. Also you mentioned the FDA, remember that all medications have side effects, even acetominophen has Reye's Syndrome as a possible side effect in people under the age of 18. Reye's Syndrome is fatal in many cases for the record.

  • @rendertank Dangerous product???? Can you tell me more please I just started on it.

  • Wow,making fun of a depression commercial. You guys are pathetic.

  • I want to buy the wind up toy someone help me find it

  • Am I the only one who thinks the music sounds eerily familiar???

"We didn't start the fire, it was always burnin since the world's been turnin...."

  • lol

  • the doll isn't creepy...its a doll that was depressed...lol

  • its not creepy

  • Damn I knew i wasn't the only person who had the same opinion about this commercial! very very creepy stoned doll......

  • actully i like this commerical it shows a good example of how depression can be. you do feel like a wind up toy, you have to wind yourself up to get motivated, sometimes it's hard for me to get moving, so i really like this commerical

  • I find It very hard to believe that you could treat depression with medication..

  • Nope. The best way to make them appreciate life again is a simple game with Jigsaw.

  • and you studied medicine where? oh that's right...

  • @15evanescence You would be surprised. The physiology behind moods is not 100% understood, but is by this time very well investigated and understood, and many medications are effective on a person-to-person basis.

  • Her eyes are so bloodshot

  • has anyone noticed that it says pristiq is THOUGHT to work by affecting the levels of chemicals in the brain?? wow.

  • @mrlovesmrs yeah chemicals that manipulate serotonin in the brain. They bind to receptors and penetrate to cause the serotonin to secrete into the brain.

  • @mrlovesmrs

scientists like to talk about how they THINK gravity works, since we dont have a full understanding of the mechanisms behind the phenomena.

  • @mrlovesmrs No shit sherlock. How the fuck else would it work?

  • @TheGreenParakeet12 Dude let me lay the cards out for you. By saying that they THINK it works that way, they are implying that they aren't sure of what actually happens, but whatever it is creates a desired effect.

  • @mrlovesmrs I just saw a Pristiq commercial for the first time and had to come here. That was my same reaction. It's "Thought" to work?? hahahaha. I could imagine the boardroom meeting. "Yeah we think it works by doing this...." "So you really think that" "Yes we think that" "I think we should bring this to market, what do you think?" "I think we can make a lot of money of this" " I think so to!" "Well then I think we made a decision"

  • 1:07 I wanna go to friendlies.

  • Emo wind up doll!!!!

  • Cause the only time antidepressants cure your depression is when you flip out from a bad reaction and commit suicide. The pharmaceutical / psychiatry hustle we are in is the new opiate of the masses.

  • And you studied medicine where? oh that's right; you're just moron.

  • And you studied medicine where? oh that's right . . . you didn't. What type of surely brilliant medical advice do you have for me now? Can you tell me which treatment my wife should seek for her bad back? cause i don't know what I'd do without informed people as yourself

  • @quantumhed .... I don't need to be a fucking doctor to know you don't take anti-depressants for a bad back.

  • @crazypaul34 Anti-depressants are known to have some pain relieving properties as they alter with the function of the neurotransmitter serotonin. Theoretically, they have been shown to reduce the pain in some people. Also, SSRIs as they are called are sometimes prescribed for headaches.

  • @eBiology .... As for their claims on extracurricular treatments I find their claims to be outright irresponsible and wreckless. SSRI's shouldn't be used for headaches or any other reason other than legitimate depression. The Pharma corporations are trying to turn their poorly researched drugs into this societies next religion. Their advertisements sell certainty, and allot of the times pure serenity. Its misleading and promises too many people cures for problems that they only think they have.

  • @crazypaul34 SSRIS and opiates have nothing in common. In fact, SSRIs are not scheduled medications because you can't get high off of them.

  • @eBiology .... First of all I would like to thank you for your opinion without any insults. The connection I was trying to establish about ssri's and opiates was the sever withdrawal that the big drug companies outright deny about anti-depressants. A couple years ago the makers of Paxil, Zoloft , and many other forms of ssri's would always state that their drugs were non-habit forming. But after many murder suicides and violent behavior lawsuits made them change their advertising.

  • @crazypaul34 I'm a nice person =) I can relate to what you are saying, there have been some cases regarding people on Paxil becoming homicidal, but getting struck by lightning is a bigger risk really, especially now in the modern age. It is important to know though that SSRIs arent taken 'as-needed' the way some sleeping meds are (ex. Zopiclone). Medications that habit form are the 'as-needed' ones in simple terms for the most part. SSRIs nowadays are pretty safe for the most part.

  • @eBiology .... As for your informed, ethical, and well researched statements for the most part you are correct. But unfortunately there are way too many doctors who would rather dope their patients into a walking coma than work them through their problems. As for the odds you gave on being struck by lightning I can almost guarantee your numbers are perfect. But for the few families that have had to suffer though a drug induced mass-murder by a loved one with a bad reaction, there is no forgiving

  • @crazypaul34 This is where I agree 100%. I find that many primary care physicians write prescriptions for SSRIs for example for cases that are not severe at all. Teenage girl issues do not need SSRIs. Serious depression that is biological/genetic in nature usually does need some medication along with CBT. Also, many physicians write prescriptions without ever consulting a specialist such as a psychiatrist, which is a problem as it encourages over-medication in the general public.

  • @eBiology ..... Couldn't have said it better myself eBiology. I appreciate the well informed conversation we had this morning. Almost 100% of my militant views are because of the misuse of SSRI's today as the frontrunner of self improvement rather than therapy and coping skills. Its been good chatting with you, wish you the best, and take care. :)

  • @crazypaul34 Yes, I was going to say that it was nice to talk to someone who actually places some credibility behind their words. It's been nice talking just like you said, thanks for a nice conversation!

  • @eBiology Oh yea, and for the record, I don't support the use of SSRIs for the treatment of headaches, I think there are alternative treatments available to cure headache pain. I guess I was being a little blunt with you earlier regarding headaches and SSRIs. Like I mentioned before, SSRIs have been shown to help with headaches, but like every medication, SSRIs have side effects. One good treatment for headaches is a TENS unit, apparently it works and has no side effects.

  • i love this song a lot, what is the name of thi song people?..

  • Pristiq causes nausia, dizziness and sweating. Might as well swig on a 5th of Ol Jack Daniels. Does the same thing and as a bonus, you might just get laid. Think about it. Won't you?

  • Go to the commercials website to download the song.

  • iv been looking for this Gaddamn song!!!

  • Taking our anti-depressant could actually make you suicidal. ERH?

  • where the hell can i get this toy wind up doll?!?! i want the depressed one and the happy one!!!

  • how many fucking side effects does this shit have!? sounds like i can die from taking it

  • oh my god xD

    i love that song

i was sing it today pahah

    DUN DUN DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNN

  • i just like the music...do do do da doo dooo

  • DUN DUN DUN DUNNNNNNNN!!!!!! I give this a 5***** on the creepy scale!!!! What is with that "doll"?! Yikes.

  • THAT FUCKING DOLL IS SHIT

  • whats the song called tho does anyone know? lol

  • I want that doll too!!!!!

  • I want that doll!!

  • This commercial depresses me. it is the worst commercial EVER. MAKE IT STOP!!!!

  • hahah.. i thought i was alone in thinking this commercial is disturbing and frankly a little stupid. a wind up toy to express the pain and sadness of depression? yeah i think not! lol..

  • this commercial is so... depressing
