  • This is a GREAT way to learn about the French Revolution! Right now, I have a country project and it's on France, WOAAW!!!!, and this vid helped me understand what happened. This morning, while I was working on my presentation, I was listening to this on TeacherTube (such a rip off of Youtube) and I was singing it and my GEO teacher laughed at me and my friend looked at me weird. SO WORTH IT!!

  • The funny thing is that I've learned more things about the French revolution in this 5 minutes long video than a whole week studying!

  • @firefox3249 the French revolution was a brutal mob. At one point they were hacking off womens vagnias and marching them (the vaginas) through the city on pikes. You learned nothing of the French revolution here.

  • @cydonia21 I never said I learned a lot from this but I learned more than what I did studying at school!

  • after studying notes and text books for hours, these videos are always a palette cleanser

  • We watched this in my 9th grade Classical Literature class when we started A Tale of two Cities last week, it was weird at first but now I cant get it out of my head!! :)

  • THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER!!! I'm in love. You made me love History more, a task i thought impossible. Thank you.

  • Watched this song in history.

  • Franchement, c'est super ! (Sincerely, it's great)

  • you should be partners of youtube

  • I know only so much can be fit into a song but I was hoping for something on Marat!

  • @cardcollector6794 There's some in the video tho.

  • @nabcgb Odd thing was, after listening to this again, this became the better part of Friday

  • We just watched this in my french history class! Deffo made it even more interesting, and memorable =D

  • Lolz my social science teacher makes us listen to these that charlmagne video made me wonder if epileptic kids watch these

  • I don't think you mentioned Louis XVI attempting to escape.

  • Actually Marie Antoinette said let them eat cake because the people were begging for the bread so she let them eat their leftovers. At least that's what my wh student teacher said. (=

  • @CavaliersFan97 Your student teacher is wrong. That quote was just made up to get more people to hate her. Nobody knows exactly where it came from, but some say it was made up by Mary Wollstonecraft, some say Rosseau made it up. Just like how in modern politics, people make radical claims about their opponents, people did the same thing back then.

  • @deifufu Thanks for the info! :)

  • @deifufu It has the ring of an out of touch rich person, I would wager there's some truth behind it, but who knows who was the originator or if it was indeed just a political lie like the Boston Massacre (thank you history class for lying through your teeth about what happened there)

  • I've had this song stuck in my head for like 2 months xD I love it so much, even when were done talking about the french revolution in world history i listen to it still! lol.

  • yeah they played it in my history class too mcmeans

  • Catchy and helpful! :D

  • @TheElizibethMusic

    Better than Beiber right?

  • Marie Antoinette never said "Let them eat cake". The quote came from a book in 1770 by a Jaque Rousseu. It was by a unnamed princess, but eventually many people related Antoinette to the quote.

  • This is amazing! My friend is researching this topic for history fair and he posted this xD
