What happen to the cool music that was on the original version on the SNES? When I was seeing you play, I thought stage 2-8 was just a normal stage and that the music I was hearing was the one on a cave or something. IT WAS THE CASTLE THEME? Couldn't they just make a remake of the older composition of the SNES? I'm.... kinda very frustrated about it. WHY? Anyways... sorry to say, but I like the Yoshi's Island SNES better.

i dont mind the change in casle theme. but the boss theme for castle bosses was a dissapointment. seriously, the fortress boss theme sounds more epic. i like the new fortress boss theme, but the casle boss theme should have been the same as that of the first yoshi's island

Yeah I seriously will never get why so many people dislike this game. I mean sure it wasn't as good as the original in the music department, and the other babies' crying would get on your nerves more than Baby Mario in the original, but gameplay wise this game was awesome, its gameplay is better than any other platformer on the DS and its really challenging for a game that looks so cutesy, in fact I think its gameplay ranks right up there with the original in its fun factor and the *2bcont.*

I think the gameplay ranks right up there with the original in its fun factor and the reason its not as good is because of music, the people think the cutscenes are unessary (though I didn't mind them I kind of actually liked them, they made the game more story driven than the original and in fact I wanted to see how stuff would turn out though the climax fell on its face which I'll get to) and also because the last boss was anti-climantic, which i have to agree it wasn't as epics as *2bcont,*

which I have to agree the final battle in this one wasn't as epic as the original's but then again the awesome fight with the giant Baby Bowser is pretty hard to top. But the rest of the game was awesome and its really challenging if you decide to go for 100% on each level including the secret stages, though i'm not sure if there will ever be a stage that will be harder than the Kamek's revenge secret stage from the orginal and GBA one.

I kind dislike it when people hate on the GBA version I mean I had a Genesis growing up (well I was just a little kid and to be fair I wasn't even aware there was stuff like a console war going on) and I didn't even know what Yoshi's Island was until I read it at Nintendo's website when I had a N64. I did play the SNES version at a friend's but was restricted from going there ever again. I had no idea what emulation was and our PC was crashed anyways. I pretty much had to get the one for the GBA

Well I haven't played New Super Mario Bros. (neither for DS or the Wii) but from what I heard New Super Mario Bros. is a very easy cakewalk to get past (at least thats what I read about the DS version) but Yoshi's Island DS is a very challenging game, which makes Me think the reason Nintendo hardly makes any games with difficulty that can challenge Nintendo fans but are still hardcore gamers looking for a challenge is because when they do releases on like YIDS people mostly hate on it.

poor yoshi, I wish he could have another game as good as the original. my dream is that they'll make a Yoshi's Island III... but this one will have the same hi-res graphics in this one, mixed with the story book art of the original, and it would have 12 levels per zone, long levels, and 12 zones. and you could have like grenade eggs, and it had like rpg qualities, that'd be soooo cool

I said without push the chomp rock!! Now... Go on the chomp rock then the bungee piranha targets on you when it's time for him to do it. Then get off, he'll get hurt then go on the chomp rock and just target your egg straight up.
