I don't care what you see happening, you don't dictate where the story goes. The novels are pushing towards the Precursors.

I think that Halo 3 had the best campaign after Halo Combat Evolved. It was a mixture of Halo CE and Halo 2 but the multiplayer sucked. Overall I think it is an awesome game. I hope that Halo 4 turns out to be just as good...

This to me is honestly the best Halo game. Bungie truly out-did themselves with Halo 3 and I'm glad they didn't try to push the story further with it, that just earned them more of my respect. Also the fact that they sold it to 343 was smart, I hope 343 doesn't butcher Halo too much with the next trilogy. I think that Halo 3 had the best campaign after Halo Combat Evolved. It was a mixture of Halo CE and Halo 2 but the multiplayer sucked. Overall I think it is an awesome game. I hope that Halo 4 turns out to be just as good...

This to me is honestly the best Halo game. Bungie truly out-did themselves with Halo 3 and I'm glad they didn't try to push the story further with it, that just earned them more of my respect. Also the fact that they sold it to 343 was smart, I hope 343 doesn't butcher Halo too much with the next trilogy. It's hard to live up to this game though, the best campaign, community, fans, multiplayer, custom games...the only thing they can do is continue the story, there is nothing more to add to it.
