I had such high expectations from New Moon after reading all the Twilight books, and i was completely disappointed. Luckily i saw Avatar the next night and was blown away!! I'm not usually someone that goes over and over again to see a movie, and i definitely won't be doing that with New Moon, but I will with Avatar. Don't waste your money on this display of uncomfortable acting, and see Avatar instead! If you have to, rent New Moon

Yes. I agree with Greencard and Jhellykenz. Story was of. The MAIN THING. The hole saga is about Bellas and Edwars love. Why the reasons for leaving and coming back and the feelings they had for eachother weren't shown propably. So, the book was better.
I think that this movie was made a lot more better than the first one. Also they managed to take the essential stuff from the book in this movie... except the end. Edward's and Bellas reunion is told lamely. In the book that is ultimate plotpoint, the thing that keeps you reading like a maniac. Their longing for eachother, connection they have and that wonderful love didn't quite came across in the movie. That was disapointing after two hours watching experience.
it was a great movie, but i thought some things were off. edward came back and its just like, everythings back to normal..lets get married! ehh, i just liked the book way better.
I understand that twilight is the current trend to be into and people believe its 'cool' to like this movie....
In truth they are NOT good movies. And its a shame to see this not very good movie make millions when theres some really brilliant films that aren't as popular as the twilight that don't earn as much as they deserve to earn.

the movie was ok but for me it does not justify the book. it was very fast-paced, the scenes jump from one to the other very fast and a LOT in the book was not in the movie, like the bikes?! hello?! she got it from the junkyard? =)) she past by it while driving and it was given to her . its like they tried to fit everything in the shortest possible time.... but it's ok. I'm not really a big fan of twilight. ive read the first two books, but i just think this movie was for the people who read the book more than the first one. They did change some things, but the movie still flowed whereas the first one was kind of akward. I sooooooooooooo wanted Jacob to kiss her (even know i know they didnt kiss in the book). i was so mad when the telephone rang
- How it ends! It's not a nice cliffhanger IMHO. It thought it was like a TV soap ending. Not good.
- Kristen Stewart's acting at certain key moments (like the scene when Edward leaves her)... like I said. I missed emotional intensity!
And also: I think the coloured contacts should have been less bright. (As if people won't immediately notice the Cullens are 'different' with such unnatural eyes ^^.)
Apart from these things, I thought the movie was nice.
IMHO: Nice atmosphere/ images, good score/soundtrack, good CGI (wolves)... characters were played well (only Kristen Stewart could have done a better job - I missed the emotion at certain key moments, which was a shame). I absolutely loved Taylor Lautner's performance as Jacob though. Hats off to this young actor! And I thought Billy Burke was great too :).
New Moon is a typical 'fan movie'... made for fans of the books. I liked it quite a lot, BECAUSE I know the books (and can fill in many blanks). I can imagine that people who haven't read the books like the movie less (or not at all).
The movie was fantastic. I didn't like the affects though. The only affect i didn't like was every time they drove it looked fake, except when Alice drove it looked real there.
New Moon was much better than twilight but I was very disappointed...there was so much missing compared to the book but still Jacob was HOT!Can't wait for Eclipse!!! XD

I'm a big twilight fan but I have to say that I was very disappointed by New Moon! I felt that a lot of the emotions were missing in the movie compared to in the book. The excitement was missing throug out the whole movie and I think Catherine Hardwicke would have made a better job on New Moon than chris weitz!

I would say you are absolutely correct. Taylor Lautner really stood out with his acting. I was extremely impressed and his body - Wowsha. I am extremely disappointed by Kristen's acting - She's not very good. She has only one emotion throughout the whole movie and does not convey what she's going through very well. Edward - Meh his acting wasn't great either.
My favourite parts was where Jacob was acting - There was true passion evident.
I also hate how people judge due to looks - Sad really.
I know what you mean the acting from kristen wasn't great at all but then again bella goes through so much emotions i guess its hard to portray all that. Rob was kinda dull too.
Why didn't they have more action scenes i felt the beginning was so boring it almost put me to sleep.

New Moon was nothing like the book and the beginning was kinda boring but i LOVED it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was the greatest movie ever but i really wished they could have stick to the book, Taylor Lautner was a GREAT actor and Robert was ehh but not so bad. I loved Jacob from the time I read the books, but Taylor Lautner does a really great job playing Jacob, to me he is a better actor than Rob and Kristen (I love them 2), but he had me feeling every emotion, and I definately enjoyed the movie more because of him ( and his six pack - HOTT!!!).
I really wish they had kept Catherine Hardwicke as the director for the rest of the saga. I feel like the new director ruined it and I do not feel like this girl has any idea what she is talking to and I doubt she has read the books. I was not a fan before the first movie. It was Catherine hardwicke's emotional attachment that led me to read the books which i love. I have looked forward to this movie for a year and was truly disappointed. Edward and Bella's story deserves better.
I stand from a movie perspective and I thought the first movie was terrible, I don't care if you thumb me down for that, but the first movie just sucked...but New Moon...wow, this movie was actually worth my money.
The graphics were better, the music were better and did I mention that the graphics were better than the first.
I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I loved this movie and it was way better than the first, oh and I still can't believe I'm going to say this but...Go Team Jacob!

New Moon disappointed me, I used to be mega huge fan of the Twilight Series, then it became popular and I got sick of hearing bout it, and I went to see New Moon because I thought it had potential, the emotion was good, but got old, The CGI effects were HORRIBLE!! I'm sorry to tell you but they were not good at all!! I was way disappointed! they have over advertised this series so much! on a scale of one to ten i give it a 7

I can't BELIEVE the director for the ending! That was not good. I didn't like how they cut it off right at Edward's last sentence. It was NOT and appropriate ending AT ALL! =[

Yes. I agree with Greencard and Jhellykenz. Story was of. The MAIN THING. The hole saga is about Bellas and Edwars love. Why the reasons for leaving and coming back and the feelings they had for eachother weren't shown propably. So, the book was better.

I think that this movie was made a lot more better than the first one. Also they managed to take the essential stuff from the book in this movie... except the end. Edward's and Bellas reunion is told lamely. In the book that is ultimate plotpoint, the thing that keeps you reading like a maniac. Their longing for eachother, connection they have and that wonderful love didn't quite came across in the movie. That was disapointing after two hours watching experience.

I understand that twilight is the current trend to be into and people believe its 'cool' to like this movie....
In truth they are NOT good movies. And its a shame to see this not very good movie make millions when theres some really brilliant films that aren't as popular as the twilight that don't earn as much as they deserve to earn.
I am not denying that the books are probably really good but when it comes to the film it is really not a good film.

the movie was ok but for me it does not justify the book. it was very fast-paced, the scenes jump from one to the other very fast and a LOT in the book was not in the movie, like the bikes?! hello?! she got it from the junkyard? =)) she past by it while driving and it was given to her . its like they tried to fit everything in the shortest possible time.... but it's ok. TEAM JACOB!

i read the books and I liked the movies, NewMoon was a lot better than the 1st movie and i do want to see Eclipse cus tht was the best book.
In general Twilight is alright, i like it but it has WAY more hype than it deserves, its just a cliche high school romance with some fantasy thrown in there

They did change some things, but the movie still flowed whereas the first one was kind of akward. Taylor Lautner was amazing!! He is just an awesome actor in the truest sense of the word- meaning awe-inspiring.

What I didn't like so much:
- How it ends! It's not a nice cliffhanger IMHO. It thought it was like a TV soap ending. Not good.
- Kristen Stewart's acting at certain key moments (like the scene when Edward leaves her)... like I said. I missed emotional intensity!
And also: I think the coloured contacts should have been less bright. (As if people won't immediately notice the Cullens are 'different' with such unnatural eyes ^^.)
Apart from these things, I thought the movie was nice.

IMHO: Nice atmosphere/ images, good score/soundtrack, good CGI (wolves)... characters were played well (only Kristen Stewart could have done a better job - I missed the emotion at certain key moments, which was a shame). I absolutely loved Taylor Lautner's performance as Jacob though. Hats off to this young actor! And I thought Billy Burke was great too :).

I havent read the books but I agree that they are probably really gd however a couple of guys showing off their bodies doesn't make it a good movie!
I have seen many chick flicks and quite liked some of them but this was just awful! Unless you are a 14 year old girl (who is not a lesbian), a mother and daughter on a night out or a fan of the books you will not like this movie.

well... if jacob wasn't taylor and edward wasn't pattinson then there wasn't going to be this big commotion over team edward or jacob.... you don't here any commotions about the other vampires.. victoria and laurent.. it's not like there's any commotion about the issue that victoria nearly get bella and laurnent could have killed bella and all those stuffs...
everything is about team jacob or team edward.. okay cool, at the end of the story, vampires and wolfs become friends...

the wolf guy is smexie with no shirt on but all around i didn't like at all ,becaus i don't have a vagina!!! I have seen chick flicks and liked them but this was just god awful. Anyone who likes this movie is either 14, a mom bonding with their daughter, or all round stupid. yes good cinematography but that does not excuse the fact the acting sucks, and the story sucks

I'm a big twilight fan but I have to say that I was very disappointed by New Moon! I felt that a lot of the emotions were missing in the movie compared to in the book. The excitement was missing throug out the whole movie and I think Catherine Hardwicke would have made a better job on New Moon than chris weitz!

I would say you are absolutely correct. Taylor Lautner really stood out with his acting. I was extremely impressed and his body - Wowsha. I am extremely disappointed by Kristen's acting - She's not very good. She has only one emotion throughout the whole movie and does not convey what she's going through very well. Edward - Meh his acting wasn't great either.
My favourite parts was where Jacob was acting - There was true passion evident.
I also hate how people judge due to looks - Sad really.

I know what you mean the acting from kristen wasn't great at all but then again bella goes through so much emotions i guess its hard to portray all that. Rob was kinda dull too.
Why didn't they have more action scenes i felt the beginning was so boring it almost put me to sleep.
Taylor portrayed jacobs emotions really well. His definetly a great actor.
Im hoping eclipse is gonna be better hopefully.

I loved Jacob from the time I read the books, but Taylor Lautner does a really great job playing Jacob, to me he is a better actor than Rob and Kristen (I love them 2), but he had me feeling every emotion, and I definately enjoyed the movie more because of him ( and his six pack - HOTT!!!).

I really wish they had kept Catherine Hardwicke as the director for the rest of the saga. I feel like the new director ruined it and I do not feel like this girl has any idea what she is talking to and I doubt she has read the books. I was not a fan before the first movie. It was Catherine hardwicke's emotional attachment that led me to read the books which i love. I have looked forward to this movie for a year and was truly disappointed. Edward and Bella's story deserves better.

The graphics were better, the music were better and did I mention that the graphics were better than the first.
I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I loved this movie and it was way better than the first, oh and I still can't believe I'm going to say this but...Go Team Jacob!
