  • So when you went to start it did it knock your crank pulley bolt loose as well?

  • @CrimsonxJackal no, I wish, I still have that block, that bitch is on there tighter than ever, I have a brand new timing kit on there i still need to get off.

  • yay Lakai shoes

  • @BodomAllBodom YAY LAKAAAII!

  • how'd you get your belt to stop squealing?

  • @cavelier23 by buying new ones. when they squeal that means they are either too lose. or you need new ones. 9 times out of 10 its because they are old and cracking and you need new ones.

  • @pen1510ve I replace my belts all the time, my car just doesn't like em' haha. Thanks

  • @cavelier23 i believe there is a grease you can use as well. also it could be a bearing that squeaks

  • @pen1510ve You may be right, we used belt dressing to temporarily fix it, but it still squeaks when you accelerate. You're probably right about the bearing

  • @cavelier23 look into it and tell me what you find out.

  • I had to get completely new pulleys, the ones i had were worn down, and kept doing a total hack job on my belts. I also had to get a new harmonic balancer

  • @cavelier23 glad you got it all worked out.

  • Question...

Was it knocking before you worked on it, or after you tried to start it with the ratchet in place?

    Im curious...

  • @ManYo559 this was the first start with that motor. so it was knocking after lol

i was told that what i did couldnt have damaged anything. it the same as letting the clutch out too fast and stalling the car that way. it just stops the crank from moving any move and it stalls.
