  • Search up my vids I will tell you exactly how to properly tune up a mower

  • he forgot to rebuild the carb.....the most important part of a tune-up.......all he did was basic maintenance and general service.

  • @backwoodsctryboy who in the hell has to rebuild a carb as regular maintenance?!?! DAMN Honda mowers are crappy

  • @backwoodsctryboy agreed

  • WD-40 is not a lubricant... it's a Water Displacement spray. Loosen a rusted bolt, spray a squeaky hinge with WD-40 and the problem will return rather soon. Grease is a lubricant. Graphite is a dry lubricant that wears out somewhat quickly. Some other oil would work much better.

  • @ZodGen Sure its a small lubricant as well, it has 15% mineral oil which is a light lubricant. The long-term active ingredient is a non-volatile, viscous oil which remains on the surface, providing lubrication and protection from moisture.

  • my mower spills out oil out of its muffler whan ever i start it can you tell me why

  • Please tell us how to tune a push mover carburetor. (Tuning needle and things like that)

  • @LTF85199 search up danyboy73 on utube he has great vids on tht

  • Thats not the only things you should do seasonally.....

  • As far as your oil goes, that is some heavy stuff. The problem is, it needs to be fairly warm before it actually starts to flow more freely. By that time, the mower has already ran for quit sometime. You wont notice the problems right away, but you will be giving it a shorter life time over a period of time.

  • man lowes really help you out when you have a general DIY question

  • gt85 would be better than wd40

  • how will the lawn mower start all by its self O.o

  • i dont do this crap i let it sit then add gas then start it and check its oil

  • well no spark could mean a bad magnito in rare cases and if u mower is really old its has points of condenser ignision and the points have to be sanded a tiny bit

  • "a new spark plug will ensure easy starting" lol because if it don't have spark then the spark plug is the problem, not the coil. HAHAHA riighht

  • @dondawg00 the coil very rarely goes bad, maybe you should do some research before you post stupid comments

  • @pivotboy63 Do some research? I been doing this for a living for the past 20 + years, if it dosen't have spark and the kill wire isn't connected, and it is gapped to the flywheel with spec, and the plug gap is with spec, its the coil buddy. Don't try and act like you know what your talking about, I will school you any day of the week.

  • @dondawg00 even if the spark plug has the correct gap the plug can still be bad, it can have carbon build up, oil deposits, etc, and that can prevent it from sparking.

  • @pivotboy63 oh I didn't know that, damn i should probably quit my career and be a youtube troll

  • @dondawg00 was that sarcasm

  • @dondawg00 You say you have 20 + years experience. Let me ask you something. Will putting 20-50 motor oil in my lawnmower fuck it up? ( I have a couple of years old craftsman 22' mulcher self propeled). I live in a very hot climate so maybe? I dont know. Just want to know because I got lots of 20-50 in my garage and Im trying to save a buck. Even if a quart of 4 cycle sae 30 cost two bucks at walmart, every buck counts in this economy. Let me know, thanx.

  • @ismaelillo3 You should run straight 30 weight oil, since you live in a hot climate you could probably get away with it, but it is a heavy oil, briggs hand mower engines all recommend sae30, thats all I run in them. Would it blow up? Very doubtful, but the engine would be more happy with a lighter oil like 30 weight.

  • @dondawg00 Alright, then SAE30 it is..... Thanx alot...

  • Yeah, it's kind of impossible for it to start. And how's it possibly going to start if your just changing the plug and filter? Strange.

  • how does a lawnmower 'accidentally' start if youre changing the air filter with the spark plug wire on? if the flywheel brake is on and the kill system engaged then youd have to be under some sort of curse for or it to both start all by itself and kill you horribly.

  • @C0LL1N -just like the lids of cups of coffee have to say hot contents, corporations have to go the extra mile so that idiots can't find a way to sue them. It's called dumbing down, because obviously we have lost all common sense and the ability to think for ourselves. "We can't be held liable for being an idiot and sticking our fingers in a running mower-the tutorial guy didn't specifically tell us not to and that it could cut our fingers off".

  • nice, i love my mower
