Alright count the cups since 1967. Mtl has 9 cups since 67. When the Flyers were in the semi finals, the Phily sports section had the eagles as the main story, and their season hadnt started yet. First of all, this isn't the regular season. Real teams step up in the playoffs. But if the Habs are "much better", the Flyers had seven 20+ goal scores in the regular season, most of them closer or over 30 goals (the Habs had 4 players.) That's called balance. Name another team in the league that can boast that. So far, the Habs were pushed to a game 7 by an 8 seeded Bruins team, and now down 3-1 to a 6 seed. You must be very proud of the regular season. Do they give out Stanley Cups for that?

Was it retaliation for #24 Sami Kapanen being tripped up on the way down the ice, no one knows except Downie. These teams are already at each other's throats, but this lights the short fuse. Then as Flyers Umberger is tripped up, behind the goal at the same moment, Habs Bouillon is run into the boards by Flyers Hatcher, leading eventually to 5 minute major on Hatcher.
